There have been an untold number of well-publicized royal scandals over the years, many points in history where the ongoings of the British monarchy have dominated newspaper headlines and whipped the general public into a frenzy.

 

The current state of affairs must surely rank among the most tantalizing.

Not only has the whole saga regarding Kate Middleton’s recovery from a mysterious abdominal procedure captivated all and sundry since January, but King Charles also received a shock cancer diagnosis. That’s not to mention the ever-present controversy where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are concerned.

 

 

In most other decades the reigning monarch’s fight against cancer would be the focal point of the media attention. It speaks volumes, then, that the maelstrom of speculation surrounding Kate has virtually pushed all other topics into the shadows.

It could be argued that the royals only have themselves to blame for the intense scrutiny placed upon Kate’s recovery. Aside from confirming that the Princess of Wales was undergoing a “planned abdominal procedure” in January, adding that she would be out of action until around for a while, the Palace has been thrifty to the point of arousing suspicion with its updates.

Just what Kate was suffering from that required surgery remains unknown to the public. Compounding the sense of confusion was the fact that Kate – until last week – hadn’t been seen since Christmas.

 

And if the vacuum of concrete information brought the pot of speculation to boiling point, the debacle surrounding the image of Kate and her children released to mark Mother’s Day in the UK blew the lid off with such force that the various conspiracy theories suddenly became of interest worldwide.

Among the mostly hotly debated possibilities was that Kate and Prince William were experiencing marital troubles, the likes of which had left Kate with no option but to withdraw from the spotlight until a solution could be found.

At this stage we’d be remiss in our duties if we didn’t point out that any and all reports of William and Kate’s romance being in crisis remain unconfirmed. That said, the topic has generated enough attention to make it an undeniable fact that the public are at the very least extremely intrigued.

The crux of the aforementioned marital bother William and Kate are purported to have found themselves in centers around the rumor that William had engaged in an affair with Rose Hanbury, the Marchioness of Cholmondeley.

According to reports, Rose and her husband David Rocksavage, the 7th Marquess of Cholmondeley, have been in William and Kate’s social circle for some time. Once upon a time, the ever-reliable Sun newspaper tried to flog speculation that Kate and Rose had a falling out (leading to a not-insignificant amount of people claiming the cause was an affair between Rose and William).

And it seems as though that candle of scandal continues to burn even today, some five years since The Sun published the aforesaid information.

Last week there were multiple articles written about Rose – in the midst of the media throng to find out where Kate Middleton was – with some news outlets even being accused of ‘soft-launching’ the Marchioness in preparation for a time wherein her alleged affair with William became official news.

Of course, the outlandish rumors appear to be just that… outlandish. Even so, Rose Hanbury herself was bothered enough to break her silence and firmly deny that any affair had ever taken place.

As per reports, Business Insider reached out to Rose’s lawyers this weekend for comment. The reply they got read: “The rumors are completely false.”

So there you have it… case closed, perhaps, maybe, for now.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are seemingly set to carry out big plans but they will be doing so separately given their opposite aspirations.

 

The Duke of Sussex, who has reportedly been looking at properties in the UK has seemingly made up his mind over his UK plans whether his wife Meghan Markle accompanies him or not, suggested royal commentator Kinsey Schofield.

“I hear that Harry is both content with his new lifestyle and homesick,” she told Fox News Digital. “It just depends on the day. I’m sure Harry could get homesick, and we know that he is prone to wearing his heart on his sleeve.”

On the other hand, Meghan is focussed on her lifestyle brand, American Riveria Orchard

Schofield added that the Duchess of Sussex has “likely permitted him to try to establish an additional residence in the UK if that will make him happy, but I doubt she has any desire to participate in the process or visit.”

While Harry is ready to make a move to the UK, Schofield explained that the royal

“won’t make any drastic or financial moves until he settles his security issues.”

Prince Harry is currently pursuing a legal battle to get back the level of security he previously had before he stepped down as a senior working royal in 2020.

King Charles’ former butler, Grant Harrold, had previously told the New York Post that Harry had been looking at UK properties.

Although, Schofield believes that if Harry were to move to the UK temporarily, Meghan would not accompany him for a big reason.

“She feels rejected by the UK and that does not sit well with her,” Schofield claimed. “I don’t even think she has any desire to win them over again. Meghan is totally focused on winning over the elite in Hollywood. With jam. And dog treats.”

It is believed Prince Harry’s new life in the US is becoming “uncomfortable” with the glamour of living in California “definitely wearing off”, claims a royal author. The Duke eventually relocated to Montecito, California, with his wife, Meghan Markle after stepping down as a working royal in 2020, and he has settled in a £12million mansion with his two children, Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, two.

Royal expert and author, Tom Quinn told the Mirror Harry’s initial delight with moving to America is fading. He said: “During his first six months in the States Harry found everything new and exciting, but the glamour is definitely wearing off. However big your garden and Harry and Meghan’s garden at Montecito is enormous, there’s only so much you can do when you have no practical skills and you have always paid people to cook, clean and garden for you.”

He added although Meghan is in her “natural environment” it is still an “unfamiliar world” for the Prince. However, Harry’s new life has also hit a roadblock with the initiation of a lawsuit by The Heritage Foundation, a think tank group. It comes as Prince Harry’s US visa application is being reviewed by a judge following his admissions about his use of drugs in his memoir Spare, something which he is said to seriously ‘regret’.

The Heritage Foundation launched a lawsuit against Harry to determine whether he lied on his full-time visa application when he moved to America. The royal expert said: “The couple have taken legal advice because they’re seriously worried that if Donald Trump wins the next election Harry’s visa may be revoked. Trump has insisted that if Harry is found to have lied on his visa application about his admitted drug taking, he could be asked to leave the country.”

He added Harry’s whole life plan could be threatened: “Harry initially thought this couldn’t possibly happen to him as the normal rules don’t apply to a Royal Prince, but he is increasingly realising that in the United States being a Prince doesn’t actually count for very much.”

After the game, Alexander-Arnold was heard telling his family that one England star didn’t want to take a penalty, which has led to speculation over which player may have shirked the responsibility.

Foden, who Alexander-Arnold replaced with just five minutes of extra time remaining, was among those thought to have avoided taking a penalty.

However, the Manchester City star insisted he would have stepped up had he still been on the pitch.

Foden told talkSPORT: “I would have taken one if I was still on the pitch but I think there’s players who take them regularly for their clubs so it makes sense for them to take them.

“I think that’s what Gareth did, put the best penalty-takers on the pitch. I’m glad he did that now because it definitely worked in our favour.

“I feel like it’s a confidence thing, if you believe you’re going to score you can definitely be a penalty-taker.

After playing the field during the Casa Amor twist and being caught red-handed during movie night, it was evident that Wil and Uma’s once harmonious relationship had hit the rocks. But on Monday night’s show (July 8), Uma appeared to forgive Wil following his kiss with Casa bombshell Lucy and accepted his apology for his dismissive behaviour while watching his incriminating footage on movie night.

But things quickly shifted gears when Uma, Mimii and Jessy were chosen to go on dates with new bombshells Reuben and Josh. Bringing a fresh energy into the villa, it was clear the lads were ready to get stuck into the mix.

Eager to make a move in tonight’s show, Reuben impresses Uma by making her an iced coffee. However, he starts a playful rivalry when he finds out Wil had also brought her one earlier, asking cheekily: “Is it better than Wil’s?”

Kaye, 60, said: “Judi is on the cusp of maybe considering possibly a furry friend…” to which Jane, 61, immediately shouted: “Don’t do it!”, adding: “Your lifestyle does not suit a dog!” with Kaye replying: “She’ll have to change her lifestyle.”

As Judi, 43, revealed that she wanted a dog as a companion and that she would spoil it, Jane declared: “I’m going to set my watch, three months time: ‘Wish I’d listened to you, Jane!’” with Kaye responding: “I don’t agree!” the panellists then did a test from the charity Dogs Trust, which had questions such as “do you have the time”, to which Jane interrupted.

Kaye then said: “Jane, why are you so anti-dog?” with Jane declaring: “I’m not anti-dog, I’m anti people getting a dog when not in the right set up to have one” with Kaye repeating: “You are anti-dog!” the latter then pointed out how much a dog can enhance your life.

To which Jane interrupted with: “But it’s not about a dog enhancing your life, you’ve got to make it right for the dog….” Kaye then pointed out about her own pet dog: “What I’m saying is, I changed my life….” with Jane interrupting with: “Well, you’re here [at work on Loose Women!” A stunned and laughing Kaye was quick to fire back with: “Stop being so aggressive!”

A huge bombshell has been dropped that could explain Harry Kane’s performances at Euro 2024.

The Bayern Munich forward has two goals in the competition so far but his displays have come under intense scrutiny.

Kane was substituted with cramp in extra-time during the quarter-final win against Switzerland but had just 27 touches and only four in the opposition box – the lowest touches of any player in either team.

After scoring 44 goals in his first season in Germany, England fans have been expecting more from their talisman.

There have been calls to drop Kane from the starting XI to face the Netherlands but Sky Sports reporter Rob Dorsett reports his place in the team is not under threat.

He also claimed that Kane is still struggling with a back injury that could explain his troubles in front of goal.

“He will play, he will start, it’s almost a non-issue,” he told Sky Sports.

“But it hints at some of the problems England are experiencing. So many times Bukayo Saka got behind his full-back against Switzerland and put some good low crosses in only for Harry Kane not to be up with play.

“He’s not fully fit, I don’t care what he says. I’ve said it all tournament long and even before the tournament.

“That back problem that dogged the end of his domestic season has dragged on into this tournament. Whilst he’s able to play, he’s just not as sharp as he has been all season.

“That is a concern for England and Gareth Southgate.”

Kane is almost guaranteed to come face-to-face with an old rival in Netherlands captain Virgil van Dijk, with the pair clashing many times in the Premier League.

Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold issued a fierce defence of England’s captain suggesting his club teammate would be ‘delighted’ if Kane was dropped.

He said: “Anyone facing England would like to see Harry Kane not playing. We’re talking about England’s record scorer.

“He’s scored two in this tournament, helped us win games and, as our captain, leads by example and puts everything into games.

“People will always have opinions but he is leading us into a semi-final.

“He is part of the reason why the environment is such a good one in camp. “And he is a reason why we’re heading into a semi.”

For around three years, Prince William and Kate moved to and lived on the island of Anglesey while William served as a RAF rescue pilot.

Although the Royal Family does not have a home in Wales, Prince William and Princess Kate lived on the Isle of Anglesey, or Ynys Môn, from 2010 to 2013, due to William’s job as a search and rescue pilot with the Royal Air Force (RAF).

Although the couple were not engaged when William was stationed on the Welsh island in 2010, Kate joined her boyfriend at the time and they shared a house, but almost a decade later, Kate admitted she felt a little lonely while living there.

Kate used a simple, seven-word response to describe her time in Anglesey, stating: “I was so isolated, so cut off.”

Visiting a children’s centre in Cardiff in 2020 and speaking openly, Kate revealed her true feelings: “I was chatting to some of the mums, I had just had George and William was still working with search and rescue, so we came up here when George was a tiny, tiny little baby, in the middle of Anglesey. It was so isolated, so cut off, I didn’t have my family around me, he was doing night shifts, so if only I’d had a centre like this at a certain time.”

As most of Anglesey is rural, dotted only with small villages and farms, Kate could go about her daily business without much attention, while the couple lived in a four-bedroom home, Bodorgan Hall.

Named Bodorgan Hall, Kate and William lived in a four-bedroom farmhouse, just outside the village of Bodorgan, with a locally sourced Welsh slate roof and various large windows, showing off an incredible view of the nearby sea and the Eryri mountains.

The property is listed as an Area of Outstanding Beauty and Environmentally Sensitive Area, mainly because of its surrounding woodland and beach. It also has a circular dovecote, barn, big gardens, a lawn, and a deer park.

Kate and William paid only £750 a month in rent to Sir George Meyrick, who owns the property and the estate it stands on and it is the biggest estate on Anglesey.

The Wales couple returned to Bodorgan Hall after they got married in 2011, and again following Prince George’s birth, but the couple left Anglesey in 2013, when George was a little older, to take up residence at Kensington Palace.
