Meghan Markle was born on August 4, 1981, in Los Angeles, California. Her mother, Doria Ragland, was a clinical therapist and yoga instructor, while her father, Thomas Markle, worked in television as a light and photography director.

Before becoming one of the most famous royals in the world, Grace Kelly had a highly successful career as an actress. She acted in her first film, “Fourteen Hours,” when she was just 22 years old. She got her big break in 1952 with the release of “High Noon,” which launched her career to new heights.

She went on to star in “Mogambo” opposite Clark Gable and Ava Gardner, during which time she was romantically linked to Gable. For her role as Linda Nordley, she was nominated for her first Academy Award and won a Golden Globe Award for best supporting actress. She later won the Academy Award for best actress in 1954 for “The Country Girl,” beating out Judy Garland in “A Star is Born.”

In 2002, Markle landed her first official TV acting credit as Nurse Jill, a small role in “General Hospital.” However, she is best known for her role as Rachel Zane on “Suits.” She appeared in episodes from 2011 to 2018.

Princess Grace met her husband, Prince Rainier, on a photo shoot, while Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were set up on a blind date by a mutual friend.

According to Harper’s Bazaar, Grace Kelly was invited to join the United States Delegation Committee at the Cannes Film Festival in 1955. While in France for the festival, she met Prince Rainier III of Monaco on the set of a photo shoot. A year later, they were married.

In July 2016, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were set up on a blind date at Soho House in New York City by a mutual friend.

In their first sit-down interview as a couple, Markle told the BBC in 2017 that she didn’t know much about the prince or the royal family before the date.

“Because I’m from the States, you don’t grow up with the same understanding of the royal family,” she said. “I didn’t know much about him, so the only thing that I had asked [our mutual friend] when she said that she wanted to set us up, was, ‘Well, is he nice?’ Cause if he wasn’t kind, it just didn’t seem like it would make sense.”

Grace Kelly briefly continued acting after it was announced she was engaged to Prince Rainier in order to fulfill her contract with MGM. In her final film, “High Society,” Kelly even wore one of the two opulent engagement rings given to her by Prince Rainier.

As Insider previously reported, according to The List, J. Randy Taraborrelli wrote in his book, “Once Upon a Time: Behind the Fairy Tale of Princess Grace and Prince Rainier,” that Kelly planned to continue her acting career after her wedding. However, the prince later said he and his wife had decided she would give it up.

“It was widely believed that it was Prince Rainier who made his wife stop acting, as Kelly had no plans of retiring at the time of their engagement,” The List said.

On November 29, 2017, immediately following the engagement announcement, it was officially confirmed that Markle would be exiting “Suits” after seven seasons.

“From all of us at USA Network and Universal Cable Productions, we want to send our most heartfelt congratulations to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry on their engagement,” USA Network said in a statement.

“Meghan has been a member of our family for seven years and it has been a joy to work with her. We want to thank her for her undeniable passion and dedication to ‘Suits,’ and we wish her the very best.”

Her storyline was wrapped up with her character, Rachel Zane, marrying Patrick J. Adams, who plays her love interest, Mike Ross, throughout the show’s seven seasons.

However, her decision to leave Hollywood was apparently not one made by the royal family — Prince Harry told Oprah Winfrey his family suggested Markle should continue acting to earn money.

However, Princess Grace had to relinquish a majority of her Hollywood fortune to pay her royal dowry, something not required of Meghan Markle.

Before meeting Prince Rainier, Kelly was on track to become one of the most financially successful actresses in the world. However, after she was asked to pay a $2 million dowry, the equivalent of roughly $20 million today, using her own money and family wealth, she essentially had nothing left.

When she died at the age of 52, Princess Grace only had a net worth of $10,000 and the deed to her grandfather’s small cottage in Ireland in her own name.

British royal family news reveals that Catherine, the Princess of Wales shared a social media message today referencing the UK’s new chief scout Dwayne Fields. While the message was brief, it delighted royal fans who are looking forward to the princess’s return to active duty.

Kate is the joint president of the Scout Association and her X tweet was signed off with her signature initial ‘C.’

The Princess of Wales announced in March that she is undergoing preventative chemotherapy treatment following a cancer diagnosis delivered in February. The diagnosis was given based on tests she had done in January at the time of a planned abdominal surgery.

After her videotaped March announcement, Kate stepped back from public royal duties. She has been since twice in a public role since then, at Trooping the Colour in June and at Wimbledon in July.

Loose Women favourite Linda Robson has opened up about her rock bottom moment during the height of her alcohol battle after she asked strangers on the street to buy her vodka

Loose Women star Linda Robson has opened up about her previous battle with alcohol, confessing that she once begged strangers on the street to but her vodka during the height of her addiction.

Birds Of A Feather actress Linda, 64, was so hell bent on keeping her battle with alcohol a secret, that she would stop strangers on the street and beg them to go into her local corner shop to purchase the booze for her.

Things got so bad for Linda that her loved-ones, as well as her Loose Women co-stars, got her the help she needed at a time when she was at rock bottom by sending her to The Priory – a well known rehabilitation centre for those living with addictions.

Back in 2018, Linda became dependent on alcohol after she was prescribed a drug which was meant to help with her depression.

However, she ended up in rehab three times after becoming addicted to alcohol.

Thankfully following her stint in The Priory, Linda was able to turn her life around, and she recently celebrated three years of sobriety after alcohol addiction previously took hold of her life.

Linda now feels comfortable enough to open up about the lowest point in her life, admitting that she used to down an entire bottle of wine a night and would approach strangers on the street to buy her booze.

That was until one day, Linda accidently stumbled upon an alcohol crisis worker and asked them to buy her the booze.

“I’d find money and say ‘excuse me I’ve lost my key and I can’t get out. Would you be able to go and get me a little bottle of vodka from around the corner,” Linda explained.

“A couple of people did but one day I asked a man to do it and he turned out to be from an alcohol crisis place that my family had called to come and help me.

“I went through a really tough time, I was depressed and I turned to alcohol and had cleaning OCD,” Linda told Woman’s Own Magazine.

“So I had to go into three different establishments and it was the worst time in my life, I completely ruined my family’s lives.”

After recovering from the traumatic time in her life, Linda has now has now been three years sober, and she doesn’t miss alcohol at all.

The Loose Women panel and studio audience were left gobsmacked on Tuesday morning after Coleen Nolan revealed how she took revenge on a cheating ex-boyfriend.

Christine Lampard, Kéllé Bryan and Brenda Edwards joined Coleen on the panel as they discussed pettiness in the wake of a break-up after Shakira caused a stir last week with her latest song, which appears to take aim at her ex Gerard Piqué.

The targeted lyrics prompted the panel to reflect on their own behaviour following a break-up, with Coleen saying her approach is ‘the best form of revenge is to be happy’.

She told the panel: “I always think, for me, even when sometimes you’re not happy and you’re crying inside and then they see you again, say hi.

Brenda laughed as she replied: “Nobody mess with Coleen,” but the TV presenter insisted she felt tremendously guilty about her actions.

Katie Piper joked Nick Knowles didn’t recognise her with her clothes off when he appeared on Loose Women today.

The DIY SOS star, 60 was on holiday with his girlfriend recently when Katie, 39, popped up at the resort in her bikini.

Joking about the awkward encounter, the panellist said: “Shall I tell the story? OK, so we are both on holiday… We didn’t realise we were staying in the same resort and there’s Nick behind us. Nick has done lots for my charity, I have known him for many years now haven’t I?

“He has been a great friend to us all. So I thought ‘I will go and say hi to him’ and I wandered over, and when I am on holiday I cover up because my skin is grafted and I had a hat down to here, and sunglasses, with just a bikini…”

Katie added: “And you were on the sun lounger, in your swimwear, with your girlfriend.”

Nick nodded: “Yep” while Katie continued: “I said ‘Nick, hiya’, and I don’t think you recognised me…”

TV legend Gloria Hunniford has shared an anxious health update with fans after a recent scare.

The Loose Women legend appeared on the ITV show on Wednesday after being rushed to hospital over the festive period with kidney stones.

Gloria, 82, admitted she is worried about ageing for the first time in her life while chatting to the panel, before confessing her recent hospital experience has made her anxious about her health.

As the Loose Women ladies began discussing the proposed plans to raise the retirement age in the UK, Gloria began saying: “Retirement isn’t in my vocabulary. But I do understand a lot of people look forward to their retirement.

“But for me, I like work, I think it keeps the brain ticking over and I met lovely people like you and the audience. For me, I like it and it just depends on what job you do and if you like it or not.”

The TV legend then joked to co-star Denise Welch: “We go from saying Gloria fell down to Gloria had a fall.”

Gloria continued to reveal: “On quite a serious note, I was quite sick over the Christmas period with kidney stones.”

She admitted it’s “the first” time she’s ever worried about growing old, adding: “I haven’t been anxious about it as I am still doing what I have been doing since I was about 20 or 30 years old.

“But it was the first time ever [at Christmas] I sat on my chair watching TV and I thought, ‘Is this what it is going to be like?’

“But do you know what? I have forgotten about that now.”

The Loose Women panel praised Gloria for speaking open and honestly about her fears.

Last year, Gloria shared how she still suffers nightmares after her horrific fall that left her with a broken eye socket and gruesome leg injuries.

The presenter tripped over a rug and crashed on to a wooden floor, leaving her with severe bruising on her leg that was wrapped in bandages for several weeks.

Speaking about her accident in June, Gloria said: “I’m getting there after my fall but I am not quite back to my usual self.

“I really took a battering and I broke the bone that holds my eye socket in place – my left leg is still in bandages.

ITV)“But, fortunately, most of the bruising has gone and one of the make-up girls has found a potion that works a treat. I tripped over a rug and went down on a floor that was as hard as concrete.

“I still have nightmares about the terrible smack I made going down.”

Following her accident, Gloria, who has been married to her second husband Stephen Way since 1998, pulled the plug on her usual summer holiday in the South of France that year.

The broadcasting watchdog Ofcom has revealed that they received 66 reports in response to the presenter’s reaction to a picture of a “goth baby”

Loose Women has been hit with a fresh number of Ofcom complaints over comments panellist Katie Piper made on the show in recent weeks.

The broadcasting regulator previously confirmed the ITV panel show received viewer complaints in response to comments the 39-year-old made about a gothic interior to a nursery.

Yet Ofcom has now announced the show received an additional 52 reports from ITV viewers this week, taking the total number of complaints to 156.

During the segment on the lunchtime show, Kaye Adams, Katie Piper, Judi Love and Nadia Swahala discussed if parents should impose their lifestyle choices on their children.

The debate was sparked after one mother turned her entire home into the real life Addams Family following the release of Netflix’s show Wednesday, directly by Tim Burton.
