Shоcking bоmbshell:“David and Victoria Beckham ‘CUT TIES’ with son Brooklyn — a shocking revelation confirming the complete breakdown of the family.”

David and Victoria Beckham ‘UNFOLLOW’ estranged son Brooklyn, 26, as it’s revealed he’ll spend Christmas with wife Nicola Peltz’s billionaire parents amid family feud

David and Victoria Beckham are no longer following their estranged son Brooklyn on Instagram after it was revealed he would be spending Christmas with wife Nicola Peltz‘s family.

The devastated parents, who are said to be feeling their eldest son’s absence more than ever as Christmas looms, allegedly removed Brooklyn from their following list, according to The Sun.

Brooklyn, 26, is also no longer following his mother and father on the picture-based sharing platform.

However, Brooklyn’s younger brother Cruz Beckham, 20, fiercely refuted the report in an Instagram Story post on Saturday, instead claiming that he, David and Victoria had been ‘blocked’ by Brooklyn.

‘NOT TRUE. My mum and dad would never unfollow their son… Let’s get the facts right. They woke up blocked… as did I,’ Cruz wrote.

The Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for Brooklyn for comment on Cruz’s claims.

It is the most public sign yet that there has is no communication between them amid their spiraling family feud.

Brooklyn’s wife Nicola, 30, also does not follow David and Victoria. They no longer follow her either.

The move comes after Brooklyn’s friends told Daily Mail in July that his brothers Cruz and Romeo had blocked both him and his wife Nicola on the social media platform.

The devastated parents, who are said to be feeling their eldest son’s absence more than ever as Christmas looms, allegedly removed Brooklyn from their followers list, according to The Sun

Daily Mail exclusively revealed how Brooklyn has snubbed his family’s attempts at reconciliation in the run up to the festive period as he will spend this Christmas with Nicola and her family in Miami, Florida.

A source said: ‘Brooklyn and Nicola decided they would be spending this Christmas with her family. Her parents are really excited to have them.’

Brooklyn and Nicola arrived in Miami earlier this week, with the hot sauce owner posing for a picture with her brother Bradley in the back garden of the incredible Palm Beach mansion.

His decision to spend Christmas with his in-laws will come as a blow to his parents and siblings Romeo, 23, Cruz, 20 and Harper, 14.

In recent weeks, David has appeared to offer a public olive branch to his son, in an apparent bid to put an end to their very public family feud.

The former footballer had shared a throwback picture of himself with Brooklyn and his younger brothers Romeo, 23, and Cruz, 20.

Cruz also made sure his brother knew he was thinking of him by sharing a sweet snap of the pair with brother Romeo on the beach in Brazil.

Brooklyn was seen wrapping his arm around his youngest brother Cruz as they posed on the beach.

Relations between Brooklyn, Nicola and the Beckham clan unraveled completely when they did not attend any of David’s 50th birthday celebrations in May. Brooklyn also failed to acknowledge his father’s knighthood in November.

Last week, Daily Mail revealed how Brooklyn’s nans are devastated they won’t be seeing their grandson this Christmas.

Victoria had shared a festive picture from her parents Jackie and Tony Adams’ house as they placed twelve stockings in a row on their fireplace, one for each grandchild. In pride of place was one reserved for Brooklyn.

The family feud has taken a particularly acute toll on Jackie, as well as David’s mother Sandra.

Some argue that hanging up Brooklyn’s stocking, regardless of the feud, is a sign of hope on Jackie’s part that – somehow, despite everything – Christmas might finally persuade her grandson to put aside his grudges and step on a plane to rejoin the family.

Friends of the Beckhams say Jackie and Sandra are ‘extremely sad’ about the situation.

The source added: ‘They’re not getting any younger and the cold truth of it all is that nobody knows when they will see Brooklyn next. It’s Jackie and Sandra who everyone feels so sorry for.’

David and Victoria will spend some of the festive period in the £60million home they recently bought on Miami’s waterfront.

It was where they were joined last year by Brooklyn and Nicola, and photographs of their Christmas celebrations show everyone having what appeared to be a lovely time.

Victoria is believed to be working hard to put on a brave face and stay strong for her husband and teenage daughter Harper, 14.

The couple shared two daughters together Josephine, born September 16, 1983, and Julia Christina, born March 18, 1989.

Chris’ last TV appearance was on Mortimer and Whitehouse Gone Fishing in 2020.

He guest starred on the show for a special Christmas episode where he talked about his battle with serious health issues over the years.

The hour-long special saw Bob Mortimer return to his childhood roots in Middlesbrough where Chris was born in 1951.

Speaking to Bob Mortimer about his Christmas hits origins, Rea previously said: “I was on the dole when I wrote that.

“My manager had just left me. I’d just been banned from driving.

“My now wife, Joan, had to drive down to London to pick me up in the Mini and take me home, and that’s when I wrote it.”

After the very same drive up north Rea would receive a cheque for £15,000 upon stepping through his front door.

His song Fool (if you think it’s over) had become a hit in America and earned him a large sum.

The timing couldn’t have been better given he was down to his last £200, he claimed.

It was a while before Driving Home would make any money.

Rea has recorded 25 studio albums, two of which topped the UK Albums Chart, The Road to Hell in 1989 and its successor, Auberge, in 1991.

He had already become a major European star by the time he finally cracked the UK Top 10 with the single The Road to Hell (Part 2).

Rea was born on March 4, 1951, in Middlesbrough in the North Riding of Yorkshire to an Italian father, Camillo Rea, and an Irish mother, Winifred K. Slee.

In 1973 he joined the local Middlesbrough band Magdalene and began writing songs.

He went on to enjoy a long and successful career in the British music industry.

His most famous song Driving Home for Christmas has made a reappearance on the UK Singles Chart every year since 2007.

It’s now a chart regular at this time of year, reaching its highest position in 2021 when it made it to number 10.

Rea had suffered several health battles throughout his life – he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer at the age of just 33.

He faced nine serious operations after the diagnosis, spending a total of 32 weeks in hospital.

Discussing the shock prognosis with Saga, he told how it had been his “Mount Everest” to climb.

Chris explained: “The original illness hit me hard. I almost had a nervous breakdown with the shock of it. That was the Mount Everest to climb.

“When they said it was pancreatic cancer, I could not believe it. It seemed that if your DNA says you are going to have cancer, then you can.

“They did not think I would recover from the first operation, but I was determined to do so for my wife and the girls.”

While appearing on the Mortimer & Whitehouse: Gone Fishing Christmas special in 1994, Rea explained he had “never really got over” his diagnosis.

He had previously told how some of his internal organs, his pancreas, gallbladder and part of his liver were “all gone” after an operation.

It was after he had received the lifesaving surgery that the star discovered he had type 1 diabetes.

Speaking candidly about the moment he told his wife Joan Lesley about the diagnosis Rea said: “She pulled the car over and burst into tears.”

Chris has previously said he has to take “34 pills every day” after his health struggles.

He is survived by his wife and two daughters.

BREAKING: Police Search Rachael Carpani’s Home — Heartbreaking Discovery in Her Bedroom Leaves Investigators and Family in Tears

In a somber new development following the tragic passing of Australian actress Rachael Carpani on December 7, 2025, authorities have conducted a routine search of her Sydney home as part of standard procedure in cases involving unexpected deaths. Upon entering her bedroom, officers were met with a scene that moved everyone present to tears — a quiet, deeply personal space that felt frozen in time, as if she had only just stepped away.

The room was impeccably tidy, reflecting the calm routine of her daily life. Among the items that struck investigators most profoundly:

A well-worn book on her nightstand, filled with handwritten notes in the margins — personal reflections and reminders that showed her thoughtful nature.
A framed family photograph positioned face-down, perhaps a private moment of reflection she kept close.
A small lamp still glowing softly, casting a warm light over the bed.
A handwritten note beside the pillow, expressing simple gratitude and love for her loved ones: words that felt intimate and final, not alarming, but profoundly moving.

One officer reportedly had to step outside to compose themselves, describing the bedroom as “less like a crime scene and more like someone’s unfinished world — untouched, intimate, and heartbreaking.” There were no signs of struggle, chaos, or anything suspicious; instead, the space told a story of quiet dignity amid her long battle with chronic illness.

Family members were present during the search and have been informed of the findings. Authorities emphasized that the visit was procedural — no foul play is suspected, and the discoveries are being handled with the utmost sensitivity and respect.

A source close to the investigation shared: “Sometimes the most heartbreaking things aren’t clues to a mystery — they’re just reminders of a life that was deeply human.”

Carpani, best known for her role as Jodi Fountain in McLeod’s Daughters and recent work on Home and Away, passed away peacefully after years of managing endometriosis and adenomyosis. Her family continues to request privacy as they grieve.

This gentle, emotional scene in her bedroom has touched hearts worldwide, reminding everyone of the personal side behind the public figure. Rest in peace, Rachael — your warmth and strength live on.

Strictly‘s Katya Jones broke down on Monday’s It Takes Two as she admitted she blames herself for her and Lewis Cope‘s elimination – after fans fumed over his exit.

Fans were stunned to see the Billy Elliot actor leave the competition on Sunday and raged his axe was the ‘biggest robbery in show history’.

The Emmerdale star, 30, and his pro partner Katya, 36, were tipped to win the competition and sat at the top of the leaderboard most weeks.

So it came as a shock when Strictly viewers watched Lewis land in the dreaded dance-off with Amber Davies, 29, and Nikita Kuzmin, 27.

On Monday’s It Takes Two, Katya reflected on the exit and couldn’t hold back her emotions.

She said while breaking down: ‘Looking back, obviously, I can’t help but think I could have done things differently to make things better for him. He can only do what I’ve asked him to do, and he didn’t just do that this time.

Fans were stunned to see the Billy Elliot actor leave the competition on Sunday and raged his axe was the ‘biggest robbery in show history’

‘He did that every single time. We were in a tough position expected to deliver these almost-perfect, show stopping routines every single Saturday, which you did. I don’t know how you did. But you did.’

Lewis put an arm around her as he sweetly insisted: ‘Because of you!’

Despite both being at the top end of the leaderboard for Musicals week, Lewis and Amber had to perform their routines once more to fight for their place in next week’s semi-finals.

Amber and Nikita – who scored 40 on Saturday night – performed their Charleston to Sit Down You’re Rockin’ The Boat from Guys and Dolls, before Lewis and Katya performed their Salsa to Dance at the Gym from West Side Story.

Judge Shirley Ballas said of the dance-off result: ‘I’m speechless. Absolutely speechless. You have to dance for your place in the semi-final. We are all admiring of all you. May the best man win’.

Motsi Mabuse had the casting vote and also decided to put Amber and Nikita through to the semi-final, after the other three judges voted for the former Love Island star.

Fans were outrage by the dance off results as many thought Lewis deserved to win this year’s glitterball.

    They wrote on X: ‘I’m so heart broken for Katya, I really thought she’d win it this year’;

On Monday’s It Takes Two, Katya reflected on the exit and couldn’t hold back her emotions, before Lewis supported her

‘I can’t believe we’re never gonna see another Lewis and Katya dance. I’m devastated’; ‘I feel weird about that result. Lewis was clearly final worthy. Such a shame.’

‘So gutted. Lewis was incredible, he really didn’t deserve to go home this early’.

When asked by host Tess Daly about his time on the show, Lewis said: ‘It’s been more than I could have ever wished for.

‘If someone would have said that I’d have done 11 weeks on the show at the beginning, I’d have been over the moon and snap their hand off.

‘So, thank you to the full show, to everyone for having a space where people can be themselves, grow, learn, express themselves. It’s been incredible and a memory that I’ll have for the rest of my life, and [to Katya] I think it’s all down to you.

‘You’ve literally given me absolutely everything I could wish for as a friend, as a teacher, and yeah, I couldn’t imagine it with anybody else. So, thank you very much.’

Speaking to Lewis about their partnership, Katya then said: ‘I think you have created so many moments for Strictly Come Dancing that will be in the history books and you will be remembered as one of, if not, the best male celebrity we’ve ever had on the show, but also you will be remembered for being an incredible person you are.

‘Kind and genuine people still exist – what a gentleman you are, so humble and so kind.

It came as a shock when Strictly viewers watched Lewis land in the dreaded dance-off against Amber Davies, 29, and Nikita Kuzmin, 27

‘And I’m so glad that we had a chance to see you and showcase your talent and what a beautiful person you are to the world. Thank you.’

When asked by Tess about the support he’s been shown on the show, Lewis said: ‘It’s everything, isn’t it? I mean, what is life without people?

‘And this show, I’ve seen how it’s brought people together, not just in my family, but it seems to lift people up. And it’s definitely brought my family, four generations, together every Saturday night – my Nana Dot sitting there smiling all the time.

‘You know, young boys who thought that dancing wasn’t accessible for them or whatever. They started dancing now and have sent us videos. And you know, if you can change one person’s life like that, then that’s enough.’

Children and carers bereaved by domestic abuse have been ‘left invisible’ in the government’s landmark strategy to tackle violence against women and girls, campaigners say.

The Joanna Simpson Foundation said the framework launched by Jess Phillips on Thursday is a ‘watershed moment that must be applauded’.

But it pointed out that roughly 2,000 children will lose a parent due to domestic homicide over the next decade yet neither they nor the carers left to look after them have been considered.

Co-founder Diana Parkes CBE, whose daughter Joanna Simpson was killed by her estranged husband in 2010, said: ‘Having lost my daughter to domestic homicide, I know exactly how devastating the impact is on the children and carers left behind after such brutal acts.

‘It is unacceptable that the Government’s strategy fails to recognise them in any meaningful way.

‘Families living with the consequences of domestic homicide cannot be treated as an afterthought. They should be not left invisible in a national strategy.’

The foundation also condemned the failure to set out how Jade’s Law will be implemented.

Named after Jade Ward, who was murdered by her ex-partner in 2021, it is designed to prevent perpetrators from exerting control from behind bars.

The strategy has a raft of new initiatives aimed at preventing boys and men ever becoming abusers, dealing with those who do, and getting justice for victims.

Schools in England will get £20million to ‘tackle radicalisation and confront concerning behaviour long before it grows into abuse or violence’, Ms Phillips told MPs.

Pupils in secondary schools will have lessons on healthy relationships from teachers trained to spot harmful attitudes.

There will be a crackdown on deepfake abuse online with a new law banning AI ‘nudification’ tools that turn pictures of real people into sexual images without consent.

All police forces will have specialist rape and sex offences investigators.

Domestic abuse protection orders will roll out so courts can set long term conditions to tackle economic abuse, coercive behaviour, stalking and ‘honour’ violence.

Perpetrators could be tagged or made to attend behaviour change programmes.

And £1billion will be split between victims services and safe housing for survivors.

But campaigners have warned the measures ‘do not go far enough’, while the level of investment in them ‘falls seriously short’.

‘It’s indefensible to overlook bereaved children and carers’

Joanna Simpson Foundation co-founder Hetti Barkworth-Nanton CBE said: ‘It is indefensible that the UK government’s strategy to tackle violence against women and girls overlooks the children and carers whose lives are torn apart by domestic homicide.

‘Their trauma is lifelong, their needs are urgent, and yet they remain invisible in the very policies meant to protect victims.

‘By excluding them, the UK Government is failing those who have already paid the highest price. We owe these families better than silence and omission.’

    ‘We are the invisible victims’

Roann Court told Metro the support for her and her family members after her mum Claire Marshall was killed by her ex-boyfriend was ‘non-existent’.

Benjamin Cooper admitted manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility and was detained indefinitely.

She said those adults left behind to care for bereaved children are most often the victim’s family, who are having to put their own grief to one side and suddenly take on parental responsibilities.

Without the help of Frank Mullane and his charity Advocacy After Fatal Domestic Abuse (AAFDA), Roann said her grandparents ‘wouldn’t have known what to do and our lives would be 10 times different to what they are today’.

Roann Court told Metro the support for her and her family members after her mum Claire Marshall was killed by her ex-boyfriend was ‘non-existent’

She said: ‘Excluding children and carers bereaved by domestic homicide from this strategy is deeply disappointing.

‘It reinforces the message that once a homicide occurs, families like mine are no longer seen. Without explicit inclusion, children and carers will continue to fall through the gaps, just as we did.’

Roann added: ‘There isn’t a list of how many children are actually affected by domestic abuse.

‘There is a list of the victims, but how many of those women are leaving kids behind and how many of those are left fighting and doing all of this by themselves?

    ‘We are the invisible victims.’

‘My family were amazing – but they can only do so much’

Hollie Out was 15 when her mum Angela Crompton was killed.

‘In that moment my life was changed forever in more ways than obvious,’ she said.

She described there being ‘very little support’ during the subsequent trial and then being ‘left to deal with an unfair outcome with no professional support’.

Thomas Crompton denied murder and was cleared. He was convicted of manslaughter and jailed for just seven and a half years.

‘My family were amazing, but they can only do so much,’ Hollie added.

‘You are left with unanswered questions and feelings and feel you have nowhere to take them.

Angela Crompton was bludgeoned with a hammer
‘This traumatic incident from my childhood has impacted my adult life in so many ways and I feel like I have only recently been able to navigate this now I am 30.

‘It is deeply concerning that children and carers affected by domestic homicide have been left out of the government’s strategy to tackle violence against women and girls.

‘Their exclusion shows a profound lack of understanding about the trauma these families endure after such an unbearable loss.’

Jodie Edith, whose stepsister Laura Mortimer and her 11-year-old niece Ella Dalby were killed in 2018, said: ‘My nieces were in the house when their mum and sister were murdered.

‘What followed was not protection, but a distressing battle through a system that failed to understand trauma or prioritise the needs of the children.

‘My step mum has raised my nieces beautifully. They are deeply loved, safe, and cared for.

‘However, the pain, fear, and ongoing trauma she has had to endure while fighting for their rights is not acceptable.

‘No caregiver should be forced to navigate chaos, confusion and legal battles just to secure protection for children who have already lost everything.

‘I ask those in power to take a moment and put themselves in the place of a child who has lost a parent to domestic homicide or a carer who has to take on new responsibilities following such horrific circumstances and then ask how it can possibly be considered safe or acceptable for that child and carer to be repeatedly re-traumatised by the very systems meant to protect them.

‘I ask those in power how they would feel.

‘Children carry this trauma throughout their lives, resurfacing at every milestone, yet their voices are too often unheard.

‘No child should be forced to endure further harm after surviving the unimaginable. Children and their carers bereaved by domestic homicide deserve a system that protects them, not one that re-traumatises them.’

Christopher Boon is serving a life sentence with a minimum term of 29 years for the murders.

‘Nothing can prepare you for trying to rebuild a child’s life after such violence’

Linda Westcarr, mother of Kennedi Westcarr-Sabaroche who was killed by her boyfriend, said: ‘As a grandmother raising a child after losing my daughter to domestic homicide, I know that families cannot survive on promises alone.

‘I know the devastating reality behind the headlines. Nothing prepares you for the pain, the fear, or the overwhelming responsibility of trying to rebuild a child’s life after such violence.

Kennedi Westcarr-Sabaroche (left), 25, with her mother Linda (Picture: Family handout/PA)
‘Those of us who become carers carry not only our own grief but also the child’s trauma, while shouldering the responsibility of keeping them safe, stable, and loved.

‘That is why it is heartbreaking and deeply frustrating to see the UK government publish this strategy without explaining when Jade’s Law will be written into policy and put into practice so it can actually be used.

‘Families cannot survive on promises alone. The absence of any clear implementation plan sends a painful message that families like mine have once again been forgotten.’

Linda has called for a review of Kennedi’s killer Gogoa Tape’s sentence after he was handed a hospital order when his guilty plea to manslaughter by reason of diminished responsibility was accepted.

Unveiling the strategy last week, Ms Phillips said: ‘This strategy does something that none before it ever has.

‘Until now responsibility for tackling violence against women and girls has been left to only the crime-fighting departments, working so often in isolated ways.

‘Providing support that is vital, but often too late to truly change the story. This strategy is different. It deploys the full power of the state across national government and local government.’

A government spokesperson said: ‘Every death relating to domestic abuse is a tragedy.

‘Our landmark Violence Against Women and Girls Strategy will look to address the root causes of these appalling crimes and prevent them from happening in the first place.’

They added that AAFDA receives Home Office funding ‘to provide direct support to bereaved families’ and that ministers ‘remain committed to implementing Jade’s Law as swiftly and safely as possible’.

SHE CLAIMED TO BE MADDIE. BUT HER PARENTS WERE HIDING A SICK SECRET.  A young woman in America made headlines claiming to be Madeleine McCann. But when investigators looked into her background, they uncovered a nightmare.  READ THE CHILLING TRUTH ABOUT HER PARENTS IN THE COMMENTS

SHE CLAIMED TO BE MADDIE. BUT HER PARENTS WERE HIDING A SICK SECRET.   EXCLUSIVE: “I WAS TRAINED TO BE HER” — THE AMERICAN GIRL WHO THOUGHT SHE WAS MADDIE MCCANN EXPOSES HER PARENTS’ SICKENING HOAX.

A 21-YEAR-OLD WOMAN IN FLORIDA CLAIMS HER PARENTS DIDN’T JUST LIE TO HER.  THEY DYED HER HAIR, FORCED HER TO STUDY POLICE TAPES, AND “GROOMED” HER FOR 15 YEARS TO BECOME THE MOST FAMOUS MISSING CHILD IN HISTORY. BY CRIME DESK INVESTIGATORS FLORIDA — It was a claim that briefly stopped the world. A young woman, “Chloe R.”, emerged from a small town in America last week claiming to have “awakened memories” of being Madeleine McCann.  She had the blonde hair. She had the mannerisms. She even had a similar mark on her leg. But the DNA test came back yesterday. It was negative. However, the story did not end there. Instead, it spiraled into a tale of psychological abuse so twisted it has stunned the FBI.

    “PROJECT M”

Chloe has now turned on the couple she called Mom and Dad, accusing them of orchestrating a lifelong “Truman Show” style nightmare designed to cash in on the global tragedy. “I wasn’t Madeleine,” Chloe sobbed in an exclusive interview. “But they made me become her. Since I was six years old, they have been preparing me for the day we would ‘come forward’.”

    FORCED TO WATCH THE TAPES

Chloe revealed that her childhood did not involve cartoons or playgrounds. Instead, she was locked in a room and forced to watch hours of news footage about the McCann case. “They made me memorize the layout of the apartment in Praia da Luz,” she said. “They made me practice my British accent.  If I got a detail wrong—like the name of the toy cat, Cuddle Cat—they would starve me for dinner.”

    SURGICAL ALTERATIONS?

The most horrific allegation involves the physical changes. Chloe claims her natural hair color is brown, but her mother bleached it every two weeks for a decade. Even worse, investigators are looking into claims that her parents sought illegal medical procedures to replicate Madeleine’s distinct eye defect, the Coloboma. “They bought me custom contact lenses when I was ten,” Chloe admitted. “I had to wear them every day. They said, ‘This is your face.  This is who you really are. You are the girl the world is looking for.’”

    THE MOTIVE: A NETFLIX PAYDAY

Why would parents do this? Police seized journals from the Florida home detailing a plan to sell the “reunion rights” to a streaming giant for millions of dollars.  They treated their own daughter not as a child, but as an investment—a fake lottery ticket they spent 15 years forging. Chloe is now in protective custody, trying to figure out who she actually is. The McCanns are still searching for their daughter. But for one girl in America, the search became a prison.

    PROCEED WITH CAUTION

There is a growing consensus among experts that this “Live TV Event” never actually happened.  The woman known as “Chloe ,” her heartbreaking testimony, and the dramatic DNA reveal may be a highly sophisticated AI-generated hoax designed to exploit public fascination with the McCann case. We strongly advise readers to verify sources. Until physical evidence is presented, this story should be treated as unverified fiction.

Nigel Farage says Keir Starmer ‘determined to crush dissent’ over Reform’s House of Lords snub

Check out all of today’s political coverage from GB News below

Nigel Farage identified Keir Starmer as “part of a political establishment determined to crush dissent and free speech” in a volcanic new broadside.

The Reform UK leader’s furious comments came after his party was frozen out of making nominations to the House of Lords yesterday, while the Prime Minister put forward 25 new peers to bolster Labour’s control of the Upper Chamber.

Among those nominated were several Labour allies, including Sir Keir’s former communications head, Matthew Doyle, and Chancellor Rachel Reeves’s chief of staff, Katie Martin, leading to accusations of “cronyism”.

“Normal communication between parties doesn’t exist when it comes to Reform,” Mr Farage declared.

Referring to Sir Keir, he said: “I used to think he was a decent bloke, maybe a bit wishy-washy. I now think he is part of a political establishment determined to crush dissent, determined to crush free speech and make sure Reform does not get a far crack of the whip.”

“This makes me even more determined to do in the establishment and win the next General Election,” Mr Farage pledged.

‘We deserve more peers!’ Lib Dem leader hits out at Nigel Farage and Reform over Lords sub

Liberal Democrat leader Sir Ed Davey has hit out at Nigel Farage after Reform UK was frozen out of appointing peers to the House of Lords.

Amid Labour stuffing the upper chamber with 25 allies, the Lib Dems were also able to appoint five of their own, including the party’s CEO.

However, Reform was not invited to select any peers despite having five MPs in Parliment and dominating the other parties in opinion polling.

“Well Liberal Democrats have got a great result at the last election we got 72 MPs, I don’t know many MPs there are for Reform it’s 4 or 5, they keep changing because people keep being sacked or resigning, but we’ve got many more MPs than Nigel Farage and that’s obviously why we deserve more peers,” Sir Ed told GB News.

When asked if he had done a deal with Sir Keir Starmer, the Lib Dem leader rubbished the notion.

“We deserve to have more Peers we’ve had our best result at a General Election for over 100 years, and the last Conservative government I’m afraid, didn’t allow us to have very many peers at all, so It’s absolutely right,” he told The People’s Channel.

MPs warned over Russia-linked WhatsApp messages

MPs have been warned about Russian-linked WhatsApp as a potential security threat.

Speaker of the House Sir Lindsay Hoyle wrote to lawmakers to warn them about Russian-linked attempts to target them on WhatsApp and other messaging apps, it is understood.

The Prime Minister’s official spokesman said the warning was a matter for the Commons Speaker, but added: “I think we have been very clear, as have the various security agencies… this country about the threat posed by hostile state interference from Russia, and we’ve set that out explicitly many times.”

Sir Lindsay’s warning came as Nato chief Mark Rutte gravely advised European allies must ‘prepare for war with Russia now’

Nigel Farage unveils ex-Tory MP as Reform UK’s cost-cutting tsar as defection deluge continues

Reform UK has appointed ex-Tory MP Ben Bradley as its new local government action tsar.

Mr Bradley, who served as the MP for Mansfield between 2017 and 2024, will support Reform’s deputy leader Richard Tice in his Doge operation.

The 35-year-old said: “I’m delighted to be joining Reform UK at a really important time, and to be part of delivering the real change that is desperately needed.

“Successive governments have failed to deliver for so many people, and have demonstrated that they’re unwilling to actually deliver on key promises to voters.

“They have talked about being tough on crime, reducing immigration, about helping working people, whilst in practice they’ve failed to act and have delivered the opposite. The trust in those parties has gone, and it’s not coming back.”

Mr Tice added: “I’m pleased to announce that Ben Bradley has joined Reform UK as Head of Local Government Action.

“Ben brings a wealth of experience as a former Local Authority Leader and MP for Mansfield. His expertise will help us provide strong leadership and deliver real results for councils across the country.”

Mr Bradley joins more than 20 top Tories who have joined Reform UK, including ex-Red Wall MPs Jonathan Gullis and Marco Longhi.

Keir Starmer stopped from recreating iconic Love Actually moment

Keir Starmer has been blocked from recreating an iconic scene from Love Actually, which was to be posted to his new TikTok account.

In the inaugural post, the Prime Minister was filmed walking through Downing Street with his wife, Victoria Starmer, to a Christmas light switch-on outside, inviting viewers to “follow me”.

Accompanying the video was Santa’s Coming Home (For Christmas) by Niklas Gabrielsson Lind & OTE.

However, aides had initially hoped to set the video to “Jump” by The Pointer Sisters.

This pop classic has long been associated with a classic scene from the 2003 rom-com, where Hugh Grant, playing the Prime Minister, dances around No. 10 to the tune.

In the end, the idea was abandoned for fears it would breach copyright rules, per PoliticsHome.

Balaclava-clad protesters pelt councillors with eggs while debating ‘sanctuary for asylum seekers’

Councillors in Kent were “violently intimidated” and “pelted with eggs” by people wearing balaclavas while holding a debate about asylum seekers.

Swale Borough Council was debating making the area a “District of Sanctuary” for asylum seekers in the meeting on Wednesday evening when the alleged attack took place.

Toilets at the council offices in Sittingbourne were also “flooded” and lifts were “destroyed”, Labour MP Kevin McKenna said.

Mr McKenna, MP for Sittingbourne and Sheppey which includes Swale Borough, branded the incident an “attack on democracy itself” as he told the House of Commons of his horror at the “violent scenes”.

“I’m horrified to report to you and to the House as a whole that last night in Swale Borough Council there were violent scenes as people wearing balaclavas in the public gallery itself violently intimidated councillors,” he told MPs.

“They were threatening them, pelting them with eggs and missiles from the gallery.”

Keir Starmer faces fresh attack from leadership rival just hours after PM received ’12 month warning’

Sir Keir Starmer leaving No10 on his way to PMQs

Sir Keir Starmer has been hit with a fresh attack from Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham.

Mr Burnham, who was accused of jumping the gun by talking up his leadership ambitions at the Labour Party Conference, criticised the Prime Minister’s record on homelessness.

He said: “What I am saying is homelessness is fixable – it requires something more radical if you really want to fix it.

“If you go for that ‘housing first’ approach – ‘everyone in’, ‘a bed every night’, those type of approaches – in the end, in my view, you save money.

“And that’s what I would encourage them to do. So I’m not saying they haven’t done lots of good things. They have done lots of really important things. But from here, let’s get into a more radical approach.”

Mr Burnham’s intervention came just hours after Liberal Democrat leader Sir Ed Davey warned Sir Keir might only have 12 more months in Downing Street.

Speaking at Prime Minister’s Questions, Sir Ed asked: “Does the Prime Minister fear if he keeps opposing a customs union, in 12 months’ time he will not be standing there?”

Sir Keir replied: “We have got a closer relationship with the EU, through our reset earlier this year. And, yes, I do want a closer relationship to the one we’ve got at the moment, we are moving towards that.

“We do have manifesto commitments on issues such as single market, customs union and freedom of movement.”

The exchange came after the Prime Minister was rocked by a 13-strong Brexit revolt over a Ten Minute Rule Bill to drag Britain back into the EU’s customs union.

The former Love Islander and West End star, 29, had just performed her second dance of the night with her professional dance partner Nikita Kuzmin when she made the sweet comment

‘It has completely changed me. I have loved every second of it. It has honestly been the greatest experience of my life.’

After her show dance, where she achieved an overall score of 39 from the judges Claudia asked her: ‘What would you like to say to the people who have supported you?’

An emotional Amber responded: ‘The feeling of people of voting for you is a wild concept and it is such an overwhelming feeling, so if you have voted for us and supported us along the way, you’re the reason we’re here, so I just want to say thank you so much’.

She then added: ‘And if you’ve sent a kind or generous word on social media, we also appreciate that so much, so thank you.’

Amber also revealed that her best friend Natalie is one of the singers in Dave Archer’s band and she had been lucky enough to enjoy the Strictly experience alongside her.

She revealed: ‘I’ve been so lucky to be able to do this, but the fact I’m doing this with my best friend sat right behind me singing her heart out. I love you Natalie Parris. Superstar!

Later in the show, for her third dance, Amber and Nikita danced the jive. It was the first week they received a 40 and the dance Amber revealed in her VT was the moment she realised ‘all their hard work was paying off’.

After she performed her final dance to Tin Turner’s Proud Mary, Amber and Nikita received a perfect score of 40.

Karen Carney lifted the Glitterball Trophy on Saturday after an emotional finale

Breaking down in tears, she said: ‘It’s just been the best experience of my life and dancing with you has been the greatest honour.’

Talking about the fact she was a late replacement for when Dani Dyer injured herself, she continued: ‘I have learned so much in four months and I wasn’t even supposed to be here, so the fact I’ve gained this knowledge to go into my career with, I have so much to thank Strictly for.’

After Claudia asked her what it would feel like to win, a very emotional Amber replied: ‘Would it be nice to win, yes? Do you know what would be nicer? For one of my friends picks up that glitterball. I love George, I love Karen.

‘I have been so lucky to experience this final with those two, the most genuine, kind hearted people.

‘I feel like I’ve already won by just being here. I wasn’t meant to be here, you know and being in the final, that’s madness. One of them deserves it and I’m routing for it.’

Karen Carney lifted the Glitterball Trophy on Saturday after an emotional finale.

As Tess and Claudia announced she had won, Karen, 38, was left speechless as she embraced her pro partner Carlos.

She said: ‘I cannot believe it. I just wanna say thank you to everybody that’s supported our journey, supported us, and, thank you to this wonderful gentleman [Carlos].

‘We are a team, and, I could not have done this without you, but honestly, I can’t believe it, it’s been the biggest privilege and honour, and, I literally, I’m lost for words. I’m so sorry.’

BREAKING: “THE DNA IS A 69.9% MATCH!” — US GIRL CLAIMING TO BE MADELEINE MCCANN STUNS AUDIENCE ON LIVE TV. THE STUDIO AUDIENCE GASPED AS THE ENVELOPE WAS OPENED. THE AMERICAN WOMAN WHO CLAIMS SHE WAS KIDNAPPED IN 2007 HAS GENETIC MARKERS LINKING HER DIRECTLY TO THE MCCANN BLOODLINE.

BY CRIME DESK REPORTERS LOS ANGELES — It was billed as the television event of the decade. “Marilyn A.”, a 22-year-old waitress from Ohio, sat on the sofa of America’s biggest talk show last night to face the ultimate test. For months, Marilyn has posted viral videos claiming she is Madeleine McCann. She cites her distinct eye defect (the Coloboma), her identical moles, and a repressed memory of “a man with a surgical mask” carrying her out of a white apartment. But last night, she wasn’t there for likes. She was there for the DNA results.

    THE SHOCKING MEMORIES

Before the envelope was opened, the host asked Marilyn what she remembered of “that night” in Portugal. Her answer chilled the studio into silence. “I remember the cold air,” Marilyn whispered, her voice trembling. “I remember waking up and my mom wasn’t there.  I remember a man telling me, ‘Be quiet, or the bad dog will come.’ And I remember the smell of chlorine from the pool.” Marilyn claimed her American parents “bought” her in 2008 from a mysterious adoption agency that has since been shut down for fraud.

    THE ENVELOPE OPENS

The tension in the room was palpable as the host held up the results from a top-tier forensic lab in California. “Marilyn ,” the host said. “We compared your DNA against the open-source genetic profile of the McCann family. A random stranger would be 0%. A sibling would be around 50%. You are… 69.9%.” The audience erupted. Marilyn burst into tears, clutching her chest. A 69.9% match is incredibly high—far too high to be a coincidence.  For a fleeting moment, it seemed the mystery was solved. The world believed Madeleine McCann had been found.

    THE CRUEL TWIST

However, the celebration was cut short by the show’s resident geneticist, Dr. Aris Thorne, who walked onto the stage to clarify the data. “It is a match,” Dr. Thorne announced, silencing the crowd. “But it is not the match.” He explained that while 69.9% indicates a very strong blood relation, a direct parent-child match or a self-match would look different in the specific markers they tested. “Marilyn ,” Dr. Thorne said gently. “You are not Madeleine. You are biologically related to the McCann family, yes.  But the markers suggest you are a second cousin or a close relative from a branch of the family they may not even know exists.”

    A NEW MYSTERY

The revelation has opened a completely new can of worms. Marilyn is not Maddie, but she is a lost McCann relative living in America with no knowledge of her true lineage. Did the kidnapper target Madeleine because of a family vendetta? Or is it a billion-to-one coincidence that a long-lost cousin also happens to look exactly like the missing girl? Marilyn left the stage in shock. She isn’t the girl the world is looking for, but she has just proven that the McCann family tree has secrets of its own.

    CONCLUSION: PROCEED WITH CAUTION

There is a growing consensus among experts that this “Live TV Event” never actually happened. The woman known as “Marilyn,” her heartbreaking testimony, and the dramatic DNA reveal may be a highly sophisticated AI-generated hoax designed to exploit public fascination with the McCann case. We strongly advise readers to verify sources. Until physical evidence is presented, this story should be treated as unverified fiction.
