She said Liam told her: “I used to be in a boy band – that’s why I’m so f**ked up.”

Rebecca, not her real name, was also staying at the CasaSur Hotel in Argentina when Liam, 31, fell to his death on Wednesday.

The 28-year-old said she has been left “shaken” by what happened, having seen Liam just moments before he died.

She told the Mail how “there was something a bit desperate” about Liam’s behaviour.

Rebecca encountered Liam in the foyer of the hotel in Buenos Aires on Wednesday afternoon and took photos of him at 4.26pm local time (8.26pm UK time).

Police were called to the hotel at 5.04pm after Liam fell, and after an ambulance arrived at 5.11pm he was declared dead.

Rebecca, from Washington DC, said staff at the hotel were “a little on edge” because Liam hadn’t checked out of his suite as he was due to that morning.

She said when she entered the lobby area, Liam was waiting by the lift and “wanted someone to recognise him”.

Rebecca added: “When the lift came he suddenly said to us without any prompting: ‘Yes, I’m Liam!’ really drawing it out, and then said ‘All right come on you lot, get in the elevator with me, I love a cuddle’.

“I decided against it and waited for the next one, but some of the other girls got in with him and half way up, he started saying ‘Oh, you’re Americans, I live in West Palm Beach.

One Direction stars break silence & make heartbreaking tribute to Liam Payne after ex-bandmate dies in tragic hotel fall
“I know Americans. You guys are f***ing crazy! You guys are f***ing dangerous!

“And then he grabs a girl who I think was with him and starts fake choking her, only lightly, but the others thought it was really disturbing.

Rebecca said when she returned to the foyer around ten minutes later, Liam came back to the area and laid on the sofa with his laptop.

She claims he became “upset” by an email on his screen and shouted “f**k this s**t mate” before smashing the laptop on the ground.

Rebecca added: “Everyone, especially the staff was really shocked. It’s a high-end hotel and his behaviour was so out of place – people were just chilling.

“I went over, asked ‘are you OK?’ But he just kind of grunted. Then he said ‘I used to be in a boyband. That’s why I’m so f**ked up.”

Rebecca said hotel staff were “freaking out and watching him really nervously”.

She also claims someone “from his entourage” apologised on Liam’s behalf and said: “I’m sorry, he just gets so high sometimes.”

Moments later, Rebecca said Liam again returned to the lobby and “just tripped and fell flat on his face”.

She said staff then helped him back in the lift.

Brett Watson, another guest at the hotel, said he and others saw Liam “causing a disturbance” minutes before he died.

Watson, from Chicago, told ITV Liam appeared to “pass out” in the lobby before he “had to be physically taken back up to his room”.

A 911 call from hotel staff on Wednesday revealed they needed “urgent assistance” from cops to help with a guest “behaving erratically”.

Recordings from the 911 calls made by the head of reception show them reporting “a guest who is destroying everything in his room”.

In a second appeal for help the receptionist said: “We need you to send someone urgently because I don’t know if the guest’s life is in danger.

“They must be in a room that has a balcony. And well, we’re a little bit worried he’ll do something, that he’ll put his life at risk.”

Liam – who was in Buenos Aires for a holiday after going to see pal Niall Horan’s tour – was found dead in the hotel’s inner courtyard at after 5pm local time (9pm UK time).

His death was confirmed as soon as ambulance crews arrived.

Cops discovered “what appeared to be narcotics, alcohol, destroyed objects and furniture” in his room at the Hotel CasaSur in Palermo.

Photos published by Argentine media showed white powder, burnt aluminium foil and a smashed TV screen inside his suite.

Forensic teams reported that a whiskey bottle, lighter and mobile phone were retrieved from the building’s internal courtyard where Liam’s body was found.

But cops are yet to confirm what the substances found in the room are and are due to run tests on them shortly.

The singer had been open about his battles with addiction in the past.

Officials have said “everything indicates” that he was alone when he died and could have been partly or fully unconscious when he fell.

A full toxicology report is still pending and could take weeks to become public.

    One Direction statements in full

We’re completely devastated by the news of Liam’s passing. In time, and when everyone is able to, there will be more to say.

But for now, we will take some time to grieve and process the loss of our brother, who we loved dearly.

The memories we shared with him will be treasured forever. For now, our thoughts are with his family, his friends, and the fans who loved him alongside us.

We will miss him terribly. We love you Liam. – Louis, Zayn, Niall and Harry.

Louis Tomlinson wrote: “His experience from a young age, his perfect pitch, his stage presence, his gift for writing. The list goes on.

“Thank you for shaping us Liam.

“I want you to know that if Bear ever needs me I will be the Uncle he needs in his life and tell him stories of how amazing his dad was.

“I wish I got a chance to say goodbye and tell you one more time how much I loved you.”

Zayn Malik said: “Liam I have found myself talking out loud to you, hoping you can hear me, I can’t help but think selfishly that there was so many more conversations for us to have in our lives.

“I never got to thank you for supporting me through some of the most difficult times in my life.

“When I was missing home as a 17-year-old kid, you would always be there with a positive outlook and reassuring smile and let me know you were my friend and that I was loved.”

He added: “When it came to the music, Liam, you were the most qualified in every sense.

“I knew nothing in comparison, I was a novice child with no experience and you were already a professional.

“I lost a brother when you left us and can’t explain to you what I’d give to just give you a hug one last time and say goodbye to you properly.

“I will cherish all the memories I have with you in my heart forever”.

And Harry Styles wrote: “I am truly devastated by Liam’s passing.

“His greatest joy was making other people happy, and it was an honour to be alongside him as he did it.

“Liam lived wide open, with his heart on his sleeve, he had an energy for life that was infectious.

“He was warm, supportive, and incredibly loving.

“The years we spent together will forever remain among the most cherished years of my life. I will miss him always, my lovely friend.

“My heart breaks for Karen, Geoff, Nicola and Ruth, his son Bear, and all those around the world who knew and loved him, as I did.”

Liam’s message read: ‘Course mate. I don’t have many mates I can trust who know how I feel and since being sober I’m wanting to branch out more instead of hiding away.’

The former One Direction star had reportedly arrived in the Latin American country earlier this month to attend his ex bandmate Niall Horan’s concert.

A statement from local police said they arrived to the hotel after they were ‘informed of an aggressive man who may have been under the effects of drugs and alcohol’. They have since launched an investigation.

Officials heard a loud sound in the courtyard before discovering his body just after 5pm, reported the BBC.

According to TMZ, Liam ‘had been acting erratic in the hotel lobby and smashed his laptop’ before he ‘had to be carried back to his room’.

Police had received a call from a worker at the hotel requesting urgent help with an intoxicated guest, according to audio related to the case obtained from the Buenos Aires security ministry.

‘When he is conscious he is destroying the entire room and we need you to send someone,’ the worker said.

Liam has been open in the past about his struggles with addiction, revealing that he experienced ‘severe’ suicidal thoughts and a wild ‘pills and booze phase’ during his One Direction days.

He celebrated the milestone of 100 days sober in May last year, and the singer said he felt ‘amazing’ and ‘super happy’.

Richard Madeley also said that Liam was ‘always very open about the demons who pursued him’ during Thursday’s Good Morning Britain.

He went on to reveal that Liam was ‘proud of the fact recently that he was celebrating being 100 days clean’.

Richard said on the programme: ‘He was always very open about the demons who pursued him.

‘It is so common that these young people who are extraordinarily famous at such a young age are thrust into this churning mill.

‘He was very very frank with his issues with drugs and he was very proud of the fact recently that he was celebrating being 100 days clean. He was 100 days clean and he was very proud, it was a real achievement.

‘Unlike some stars, he was very good with his public, open with people, happy to stand and chat.’

Liam was outspoken about how the global fame of One Direction changed his life and affected his relationship with drugs and alcohol, once admitting: ‘I don’t know if I’ve hit rock bottom yet.’

Speaking to Stephen Bartlett on the Diary Of The CEO Podcast in 2021, Liam, admitted: ‘I was worried how far my rock bottom was going to be. Where’s rock bottom for me? And you would never have seen it. I’m very good at hiding it’.

‘I don’t even know if I have hit it yet. I can either make that choice now and pick my last moment as my rock bottom or I can make a whole new low.’

He admitted he had suffered for years with ‘social anxiety’ and ‘stress’ from being famous, and discussed the pressure his mental health was under while not having the freedom to go anywhere as a boyband member.

The Wolverhampton teenager first auditioned for the X Factor aged 14 before returning two years later when One Direction was formed.

They became one of the biggest pop groups in the world but six years after they were formed, with more than 20 million albums sold, the band were placed on indefinite hiatus.

The band have revealed how they went straight from The X Factor to stardom, with Liam recalling how his dad told him during the build up to the December X Factor final ‘don’t come home until Christmas the day that I left for the show and I never came home.’

Liam said his drinking began when the global mania for the boyband meant they were often stuck in hotel rooms, where alcohol was readily available

Liam had in recent years talked about his journey to sobriety, and how his drinking began when the global mania for the boyband meant they were often stuck in hotel rooms, where alcohol was readily available.

He told Stephen Bartlett on the Diary Of The CEO Podcast: ‘It feels to me, like when we were in the band. The best way to secure us was to lock us in our rooms, and what is in the room? A mini-bar.

‘So I had a party-for-one that seemed to carry on for many years of my life, and then you look back at how long you’ve been drinking? And Jesus Christ that’s a long time, even for someone as young as I am.’

In multiple interviews Liam explained how he’d used alcohol to cope with both the massive success of One Direction and their subsequent split, telling Men’s Health Australia in 2019 that ‘it’s difficult when you have the level of fame that we had in the band.’

‘There have been a lot of people in trouble with mental health that aren’t really getting the help that they need, and I think that’s a bit of a problem in our industry,’

‘It’s the same s**t that happens to everyone, that’s been happening since the ’70s. You know what the traps are and if you are lucky enough, like me, to be able to get out of that scenario and back into a sense of normality, then you know it’s a bit different.’

Emergency medical services director Alberto Crescenti said Liam had suffered ‘very serious injuries after falling from a third floor into an internal courtyard’.

‘We verified his identity using the passport he had,’ he said.

‘Afterwards we found out he had been a famous singer. Unfortunately the injuries he had suffered as a result of the fall proved to be fatal. There was no possibility of resuscitating him.’

Mr Crescenti told Argentine newspaper Clarin that ‘the team saw that he apparently had a fracture at the base of the skull’.

His body was transported to a local morgue where a post-mortem examination will be carried out.

Unverified pictures have since emerged online claiming to be Liam’s hotel room completely trashed with one image showing a smashed television screen

Further posts from the final moments of the star’s life showed him enjoying lunch in his hotel room, where he revealed the pair had been ‘waking up at 1pm every day’ and deciding on Forest Gump as a Halloween costume.

A further tragic selfie was captioned: ‘Lovely day in Argentina’ before the star shared a photo of his hotel, writing: ‘Happy I got some time away’ followed by a heart emoji.

He shared a further photo with Kate captioned: ‘Quality time.’

He and his former bandmates Harry, Niall, Zayn, and Louis, were brought together by Simon Cowell and former judge Nicole Scherzinger who saw their potential as a group.

After just a few weeks of getting to know each other and non-stop rehearsing, the group impressed Simon at their Judge’s Houses audition and sailed through to the live shows.

Despite the adoration, the band ultimately finished in third place on the X Factor but shortly afterwards Cowell sealed their fate by signing the fivesome to a contract with Syco.

Keen to capitalize on the boys’ already devoted fanbase, Cowell moved quickly with recording for the band’s debut album beginning in January 2011.

By September of that year One Direction’s first single was released with What Makes You Beautiful soaring to number one on the UK Singles Chart, after becoming the most pre-ordered Sony Music Entertainment single in history.

Their debut album, Up All Night was also a best seller, becoming the UK’s fastest-selling debut album of 2011, with the record leading to their first tour which kicked off in the UK that December.

After Malik announced his departure from the band in 2015, the band members went their separate ways.

During their time as a group, One Direction won five Brit Awards, four MTV Video Music Awards, amassed over three billion YouTube views and sold 50 million records worldwide.

After releasing five albums with one of the biggest boybands of all time, Liam released his first — and only — solo album titled LP1 in 2019.

Hunt for dealer ‘who gave Liam Payne drugs’ as Argentinian media publishes photos of destroyed hotel room strewn with drug paraphernalia

Police are reportedly on the hunt for the dealer who may have given Liam Payne drugs after Argentinian media published photos of drug paraphernalia strewn across the singer’s hotel room.

The former One Direction star, 31, plunged 40ft from the third floor of his hotel room into the courtyard of the Casa Sur Hotel in Argentina on Wednesday afternoon.

Following the tragic news of his death, Argentinian media published photos purporting to show the inside of the destroyed deluxe suite the singer had checked into earlier this week, where drug equipment was found.

Heavyweight respected news outlets including La Nacion and Clarin ran the photos, showing traces of a white powder and burnt aluminium foil as well as a smashed TV. The authenticity of the images has not yet been verified.

After the images were shared, La Nacion reported police would be investigating who supplied Liam with any banned substances if they are proven to have been in his room.

Early this morning, authorities confirmed two 911 calls were made from the Buenos Aires hotel with officers informed of ‘a guest who is off his head on drugs and alcohol’.

    It comes as:

Wolverhampton-born Payne had allegedly been acting erratically and had to be escorted back to his hotel room before the horrific incident occurred.

The hotel reception worker stated in the first call: ‘We have a guest who’s off his head on drugs and is destroying everything in his room. We need someone to come.’

He then phoned back after the line went dead, saying: ‘I don’t know if the guest’s life is in danger. The room has a balcony and we are afraid he might do something.’

The Familiar singer was said to have been ‘acting erratically in the hotel lobby and smashed his laptop’ before he ‘had to be carried back to his room’.

Seconds later the employee, who identified himself as Esteban, added: ‘Just send an ambulance, only an ambulance.’

Workers had heard a loud sound in the hotel’s courtyard before the singer’s body was discovered just after 5pm local time.

Paramedics dashed to the scene where Payne was discovered with ‘very serious injuries’  that left ‘no possibility of resuscitation’.

Police confirmed his death with officers reporting: ‘Liam James Payne, composer and guitarist, former member of the band One Direction, died today after falling from the third floor of a hotel in Palermo’.

It is believed the singer’s body was taken to a local morgue. The Foreign Office has also acknowledged that it is liasing with Argentinian officials ‘regarding reports of the death of a British man’ but declined to comment on his identity.

Shocked fans gathered outside the hotel after police cordoned it off with forensic investigators seen entering and exiting in white protective suits and blue gloves.

They were seen lighting candles and adorning the side of the road with flowers in an impromptu vigil as they paid tribute to the beloved music star.

The star’s final Snapchat post showed him happily posing with his partner Kate Cassidy as they looked into a mirror – a picture which was originally taken last August.

Payne had previously opened about his alcohol abuse – in July 2023, he revealed that he was six months sober after spending about 100 days in rehab.

‘I was in bad shape up until that point,’ he said in a YouTube video.

‘I watching this beautiful symphony, I was having a drink, and I thought, “You know what, this isn’t really serving me at all, I don’t really need this right now.” It’s the first time I’ve ever put a drink down and gone to someone else, “You finish this, I don’t need this right now.” And I haven’t picked one up since, which has almost been six months, which I’m excited about,’ he added.

Payne rose to stardom aged 16 after forming boy band One Direction on The X Factor in 2010 alongside Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, and Harry Styles.

Liam Payne was found next to a whiskey bottle, lighter and mobile phone in hotel courtyard after he fell, police reveal

Liam Payne’s body was found in a hotel courtyard next to a lighter, a whiskey bottle and a mobile phone with Argentinian police now hypothesising he has was ‘going through some type of outbreak as a result of substance abuse’ prior to his death.

The 31-year-old star plunged 45ft from the third floor into the courtyard of the Casa Sur Hotel in Argentina’s capital yesterday, before medics confirmed his death.

The singer died from 25 injuries sustained in his fall that led to ‘internal and external haemorrhaging’, preliminary autopsy results have revealed with the ‘injuries to his head alone enough to cause death.’

Chillingly, medics announced that the singer ‘did not adopt a reflex posture’ during his fall suggesting he may have been fully or semi unconscious at the time of his death.

Last night, guests staying in the same hotel as Payne shared chilling recollections of the moments leading up to his death including hearing ‘violent noises’ and a ‘scream’.

Speaking to the BBC, fellow guest Doug Jones  claimed: ‘I thought they were working on the room. There was a lot of noise, like heavy lifting, like banging, a lot of loud, violent noises, I thought.

‘So about 4pm, 4.30pm, I started hearing some more noise, I was still doing work, and I heard a really loud, violent scream around 4.45pm, 5pm.’

    The latest development comes as:

Yesterday, dramatic images of Payne’s hotel room surfaced following his death.

Payne was found dead by police who say they found the popstar’s medicines including clonazepam – a drug which is used to control epilepsy, involuntary muscle spasms and panic disorders.

The photos were published across the Argentinian media, including major broadsheets today and purport to show Payne’s suite at the Casa Sur hotel in Palermo.

There was a frantic call to 911 from hotel staff about ‘an aggressive man who could be under the influence of drugs or alcohol’ who was ‘smashing up his room’ minutes before he died.

These photos inside the luxury suite, published by Argentinian magazine Clarin, appeared to confirm the troubling report about Payne’s mental state.

On a table, the surface was covered with tin foil, white powder, a lighter and scorch marks on the wooden surface.

A blackened aluminium drinks can lid appeared to have been heated and a smashed TV screen on a shelf bore the signs of a heavy impact whilst a half-empty Champagne flute was nearby.

Police later confirmed that after a search of the popstar’s room medicines like clonazepam were found – a drug which is used to control epilepsy, involuntary muscle spasms and panic disorders.

More candle and aluminum foil remains were found in the bathtub of Payne’s suite, the bottom of which was stained and had some burns.

In a tape of the 911 call from the hotel manager to police, he could be heard saying: ‘I’m calling from the Casa Sur hotel in Palermo, we have a guest who is over the top with drugs and is breaking up the entire room.

    ‘We need someone to come.’

The call then cuts off and on a second call, the manager adds ‘when he is conscious he is breaking up the room.

‘We need you to send someone, please’.

Payne suffered a huge blow just days before his tragic death – he was dropped by his record label Universal Music, the Mail can reveal.

Originally signed to Sony as part of One Direction, Liam penned a deal with Capitol Records, a label owned by Universal, in July 2016 when he launched his solo career at just 22 years old.

Liam was said to have been ‘thrilled’ when he signed to Capitol in what was understood to have been a very lucrative deal.

The label is a subsidiary of Universal, but in the company’s recent reshuffle he came under the main label.

The Universal Music Group tribute read: ‘We are devastated by the tragic passing of Liam Payne.

‘His legacy will live on through his music and the countless fans he inspired and who adored him.

‘We send our deepest condolences to Liam’s family and loved ones.’

Capitol Records reposted the statement as well.

Multiple sources have confirmed to MailOnline that the singer was axed by the record label.

A source said: ‘Liam’s advance was massive and he didn’t recoup [it].

‘Out of all of the One Direction boys, Liam was on the wrong path musically.’

It is understood that the release of his second album was put on hold prior to Universal dropping him.

Meanwhile, it can also be revealed that Liam’s PR resigned earlier this month, which left him without any publicity representation.

The resignation came as Liam’s ex-fiancé Maya Henry began legal proceedings against the singer after accusing him of repeatedly contacting her.

One source said: ‘It is like all of Liam’s music career that he had built up since he went solo eight years ago was crumbling, there was very little left for him.

‘It must have absolutely devastated him.’

Last night Payne’s One Direction bandmates broke their silence following his tragic death as they released an emotional statement.

Over the course of his music career, the popstar collaborated with the likes of J Balvin, French Montana, Dixie D'Amelio and A Boogie Wit da Hoodie

After Malik announced his departure from the band in 2015, the band went their separate ways

In a joint statement last night signed from ‘Louis, Zayn, Niall and Harry’, they said they were ‘completely devastated’.

‘In time, and when everyone is able to, there will be more to say,’ they said.

‘But for now, we will take some time to grieve and process the loss of our brother, who we loved dearly.

‘The memories we shared with him will be treasured forever. For now, our thoughts are with his family, his friends, and the fans who loved him alongside us.

‘We will miss him terribly. We love you Liam.’

Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik all later released separate tributes.

Styles wrote on Instagram that he was ‘truly devastated’ and will ‘miss him always’.

‘His greatest joy was making other people happy and it was an honour to be alongside him as he did it.

‘Liam lived wide open, with his heart on his sleeve, he had an energy for life that was infectious.

‘He was warm, supportive and incredibly loving. The years we spent together will forever remain among the most cherished years of my life. I will miss him always, my lovely friend.

‘My heart breaks for Karen, Geoff, Nicola and Ruth, his son Bear, and all those around the world who knew him and loved him, as I did.’

Tomlinson said in a separate emotional tribute that he was ‘really struggling with the idea of saying goodbye’.

He posted a picture on his Instagram page of the two of them on stage with Payne lovingly putting his arm over Tomlinson’s shoulder.

Tomlinson said he would be an uncle to Payne’s son Bear if he ‘ever needs me’ and ‘tell him stories of how amazing his dad was’.

‘I’m so grateful that we got even closer since the band, speaking on the phone for hours, reminiscing about all the thousands of amazing memories we had together is a luxury I thought I’d have with you for life,’ he wrote.

‘I would have loved to share the stage with you again but it wasn’t to be.

‘I wish I got chance to say goodbye and tell you one more time how much I loved you.

‘Payno, my boy, one of my best friends, my brother, I love you mate. Sleep well X.’

Malik said he had been talking out loud to Payne ‘hoping you can hear me’.

In his own heart wrenching tribute, he said he had ‘lost a brother when you left us’.

‘And I can’t explain you you what I’d give to just give you a hug one last time and say goodbye to you properly and tell you that I loved and respected you dearly,’ he wrote.

‘I will cherish all the memories I have with you in my heart forever. There is no words that justify or explain how I feel right now other than beyond devastated. I hope that wherevere you are right now you are good and are at peace and you know how loved you are.

Liam Payne’s preliminary autopsy results reveal Liam Payne’s cause of death after tragic plunge

Liam Payne’s cause of death revealed after tragic plunge: One Direction star had a fractured skull after he fell from third floor hotel balcony in Buenos Aires while ‘off his head on drugs’

Former One Direction singer Liam Payne died from multiple injuries sustained in his fall that led to ‘internal and external haemorrhaging’, preliminary autopsy results have revealed.

The 31-year-old plunged from the third floor into the courtyard of the Casa Sur Hotel in Argentina’s capital yesterday afternoon, before medics confirmed his death.

Two forensic pathologists, named locally as Santiago Maffia Bizzozero and Victor Roberto Cohen, reached the conclusions during a post-mortem today in Buenos Aires.

Further tests are now taking place to see if the singer had consumed drugs and alcohol which could have played a contributing factor in the Brit’s death.

The autopsy took place at a city morgue in Viamonte Street a 15-minute drive south-west of Hotel CasaSur Palermo, the boutique hotel where the pop star plunged from a third-floor balcony yesterday around 5pm local time.

Liam’s body was taken last night to the morgue, where post-mortems following deaths in the city centre traditionally take place.

Alberto Crescenti, a director of emergency medical response service SAME, had earlier revealed the injuries Liam sustained in the fall included a fractured skull.

‘According to the emergency medical team sent to the scene he had a fracture in the base of his skull, extremely serious injuries,’ Mr Crescenti said.

He also told TN television that Payne was dead when paramedics arrived, adding: ‘Our role was to head there quickly, give medical attention, and try to resuscitate him, but his injuries were incompatible with life.’

Payne’s identity was confirmed by emergency services by checking his passport, but police do not yet have conclusive evidence regarding the circumstances of his fall.

The singer fell from a third-floor suite with a balcony overlooking an interior pool and the hotel’s on-site Michelin-star restaurant where he landed in the courtyard.

Police in forensic suits were minutely examining the room and its balcony late last night after their colleagues below erected a red tent on the spot where Payne died.

The patio where he died is next to the swimming pool and is also the site for outdoor tables at the hotel’s plant-based Sarco restaurant. No diners were there at the time, because Sacro closes after lunch at 4pm before reopening for dinner at 7.30pm.

Payne had arrived in Argentina earlier this month for his ex-bandmate Niall Horan’s concert with his girlfriend Kate Cassidy. She left two days ago, but he stayed on.

Around the same time, his ex-fiancée Maya Henry instructed lawyers to issue Payne with a cease and desist letter after accusing him of repeatedly contacting her.

Payne rose to stardom aged 16 after forming boy band One Direction on The X Factor in 2010 alongside Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Harry Styles .

    It comes as:

A hotel reception worker made a distressing 999 call requesting ‘urgent’ assistance after Payne had been acting erratically and was escorted back to his hotel room.

The hotel worker made two calls, saying in the first: ‘We have a guest who’s off his head on drugs and is destroying everything in his room. We need someone to come.’

He then phoned back after the line went dead, saying: ‘I don’t know if the guest’s life is in danger. The room has a balcony and we are afraid he might do something.’

Payne was said to have been ‘acting erratically in the hotel lobby and smashed his laptop’ before he ‘had to be carried back to his room’, according to local media.

Seconds later the employee, who identified himself as Esteban, added: ‘Just send an ambulance, only an ambulance.’ Workers had heard a loud sound in the courtyard before the singer’s body was discovered just after 5pm local time (9pm UK time).

A recording of the second call lasting about two minutes and leaked to local media overnight began with the 999 operator saying: ‘Hello, where is the emergency?’

The hotel employee replied: ‘Hello, good afternoon. I called just now but the line went dead. I’m calling from the CasaSur Palermo Hotel, address 6032, Costa Rica.’

    The conversation continued as below:

999 responder: ‘What happened there, sir?’
Hotel employee: ‘Well, we have a guest who is off his head on drugs and alcohol. And well, when he is conscious he is destroying everything in the room. And well, we need you to send someone, please.’
999 responder: ‘Under the effects of alcohol and drugs, did you say sir?’
    Hotel employee: ‘Yes, correct.’
999 responder: ‘You told me Costa Rica. Sorry but what number, sir?’
    Hotel employee: ‘Costa Rica, 6032’
999 responder: ‘That is Buenos Aires capital, between Arevalo and Kramer, right?’
    Hotel manager: ‘Yes.’
999 responder: ‘Hotel, you said? What’s the hotel called?’
Hotel employee: ‘CasaSur Palermo. And we need you to send someone urgently because, well, I don’t know if the guest’s life is in danger. They must be in a room that has a balcony. And well, we’re a little bit worried he’ll do something, that he’ll put his life at risk.’
999 responder: ‘How long has he been there? Or is it a residential hotel?’
Hotel employee: ‘No, no. He’s been here two or three days.’
999 responder: ‘Understood. And you wouldn’t know any other information because you can’t get into the room, no?’
    Hotel employee: ‘No.’
999 responder: ‘We’ll notify the SAME [Sistema de Atención Médica de Emergencias – or Emergency Medical Attention Service] medical response service, okay?’
Hotel employee: ‘Yes, what I ask you is that you send someone urgently because, well…’
999 responder: ‘Any other information you can give me. Who are you, the manager?’
Hotel employee: ‘I am the head of reception.’
999 responder: ‘You’d be in charge at the moment, right?’
    Hotel employee: ‘Yes.’
999 responder: ‘What’s your name, sir?’
    Hotel employee: ‘Esteban.’
999 responder: ‘Okay, this has been notified. Thank you for letting us know. You can hang up now.’
Hotel manager: ‘Are you sending the police as well or not?’
999 responder: ‘The police for the area you’re in? Give me a second. Area 14.’
Hotel manager: ‘No, just send the SAME medical response service.’

Outside the hotel, shocked fans gathered after police cordoned it off with forensic investigators seen entering and exiting in white protective suits and blue gloves.

Police in Argentina had received a call from a worker at the hotel urgently requesting help with an intoxicated guest, according to audio related to the case obtained from the Buenos Aires security ministry.

The worker said: ‘When he is conscious he is destroying the entire room and we need you to send someone.’

Emergency medical services director Alberto Crescenti said Payne had suffered ‘very serious injuries after falling from a third floor into an internal courtyard’.

‘We verified his identity using the passport he had,’ he added.

Mr Crescenti told Argentine newspaper Clarin that ‘the team saw that he apparently had a fracture at the base of the skull’.

His body was transported to a local morgue where a post-mortem examination will be carried out.

Mr Crescenti said Payne had fallen around 45ft (14 metres) and suffered ‘severe injuries which were incompatible with life’.

He said: ‘The alarm was raised at 5.04pm local time saying a person was lying in an internal patio at Casa Sur. At 5.11pm an ambulance arrived and the man was certified dead.

‘Afterwards we found out he had been a famous singer. Unfortunately the injuries he had suffered as a result of the fall proved to be fatal. There was no possibility of resuscitating him.’

Unverified pictures have since emerged online claiming to be Payne’s hotel room completely trashed with one image showing a smashed television screen.

The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office in London confirmed it is in contact with authorities in Argentina ‘regarding reports of the death of a British man’.

Payne had arrived in Argentina earlier this month to attend his ex-bandmate Niall Horan’s concert.

The star’s final Snapchat post showed him happily posing with his partner Kate Cassidy as they looked into a mirror – a picture which was originally taken last August.

Further posts from the final moments of Payne’s life showed him enjoying lunch in his hotel room, where he revealed the pair had been ‘waking up at 1pm every day’ and deciding on Forest Gump as a Halloween costume.

A further selfie was captioned: ‘Lovely day in Argentina’ before the star shared a photo of his hotel, writing: ‘Happy I got some time away’ followed by a heart emoji.

He shared another photo with Cassidy captioned: ‘Quality time.’

Payne’s death comes days after his ex-fiancée Maya Henry started legal proceedings against him.

The 23-year-old Texan model instructed lawyers to issue a cease and desist letter to the star after accusing him of repeatedly contacting her.

She had also accused Payne of obsessively contacting her friends and family including her mother Azteca Henry.

Payne formed boy band One Direction in 2010, alongside Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Harry Styles, after they individually auditioned for The X Factor.

After becoming one of the biggest pop groups in the world with five albums and four world tours, One Direction went on indefinite hiatus in 2016.

Earlier this month, Payne attended bandmate Horan’s Argentinian concert alongside his girlfriend Kate Cassidy.

Payne released his debut solo album LP1 in December 2019 which included the songs Polaroid, Familiar and Strip That Down featuring Quavo.

The song was one of two tracks that reached the top 10 in the UK official charts, alongside For You with Rita Ora from the film Fifty Shades Freed – which the duo performed at the Brit Awards in 2018.

Payne and Girls Aloud singer Cheryl share a son Bear, born in 2017, having been in a high-profile relationship between 2016 and 2018.

The singer first auditioned for The X Factor in 2008 at the age of 14 singing Frank Sinatra’s Fly Me To The Moon, with judge Simon Cowell telling him to return to the ITV talent show two years later.

He impressed the judges in 2010 singing Michael Buble’s rendition of Cry Me A River before he was put with four other solo hopefuls at the boot camp stage of the competition – the group which later became One Direction.

In 2012, the boy band won their first Brit Award for best British single for their debut track What Makes You Beautiful, before picking up the Brit global success award a year later.

In 2014 and 2015 they also won best British video for Best Song Ever and You & I respectively.

After Malik left the band, the quartet won best artist video for Drag Me Down in 2016. They picked up the same award a year later for History.

In August last year, Payne postponed his scheduled tour of South America after suffering from a ‘serious kidney infection’.

He said the infection was something ‘I wouldn’t wish on anyone’ and he had been instructed by doctors to ‘rest and recover’.

Later last year he was banned from driving in the UK after admitting a speeding offence.

The singer was reportedly travelling at 43mph in a 30mph zone and was banned from driving for six months, as well as paying a fine, in October 2023.

In August this year, Payne was announced as a judge on a new Netflix show alongside former Destiny’s Child singer Kelly Rowland and The Pussycat Dolls star Nicole Scherzinger.

The stars were to judge attempts to create a band, looking at the contestants’ chemistry as they formed groupings in the musical competition series.

Among those paying tribute to Payne today was TV presenter Dermot O’Leary who recalled him auditioning for The X Factor as a 14-year-old boy.

O’Leary, who hosted The X Factor during both of Payne’s appearances, shared a photograph of the pair on stage, captioning the Instagram post: ‘The worst news’.

‘I remember him as a 14-year-old turning up to audition on The X Factor, and blowing us away singing Sinatra. He just loved to sing,’ he wrote.

‘He was always a joy, had time for everyone, polite, grateful, and was always humble.’

Styles’ mother Anne Twist posted a broken-hearted emoji on Instagram, captioning it: ‘Just a boy.’

Singer Olly Murs, who starred on The X Factor a year before One Direction, said he was ‘lost for words’, describing Payne’s death as ‘devastating’ on Instagram.

‘We always had a good laugh when we saw each other, sometimes the catch ups were only short and sweet but when we did it was mostly about how annoyingly good his hair always looked, or our love for Becks, the old XF (X Factor) days and the tour we shared together,’ Murs wrote beside a picture of the pair.

‘Liam shared the same passions as me, the same dreams so to see his life now end so young hits hard, I’m truly gutted and devastated for his family and of course his son Bear losing a dad.’

The Wanted star Max George said he met Payne while he was competing on The X Factor with One Direction, describing his death as ‘absolutely devastating news’.

‘Over the last few years I had the pleasure of getting to know him personally and spent some treasured time with him,’ he said on Instagram.

‘Liam was absolutely wonderful in terms of support when Tom (Parker) fell ill, performing at the Royal Albert Hall with us for Stand Up To Cancer.

‘He supported me a lot personally after Tom passed. I will never forget that.’

Payne attended the funeral of Parker, who died in March 2022 at the age of 33 after being diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour.

US singer Charlie Puth, a co-writer on Payne’s 2017 song Bedroom Floor, said he was in ‘shock’ after Payne’s death.

‘Liam was always so kind to me,’ he posted on Instagram, alongside a collection of photos of the pair working together.

‘He was one of the first major artists I got to work with. I cannot believe he is gone… I am so upset right now, may he rest in peace.’

Former SAS: Who Dares Wins host Ant Middleton said he ‘formed a brotherhood’ with Payne after they filmed a documentary together in 2019.

The ex-Special Forces soldier described the former One Direction singer as ‘a good friend of mine’ after the pair journeyed through Namibia for the programme Ant Middleton & Liam Payne: Straight Talking.

Middleton said during a live interview on Australia’s The Morning Show that it was ‘the first time hearing’ of Payne’s death at the age of 31 after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires.

‘After we filmed Straight Talking With Ant Middleton, he was my first celebrity guest and we formed a brotherhood,’ Middleton told hosts Kylie Gillies and Larry Emdur.

‘He was like a younger brother to me. He would confide in me, I’d go around and see him.

‘There were some issues there, but nothing that a young celebrity at his calibre wouldn’t suffer from.

‘I’m just shocked at the moment, wow, don’t really know what to say.’

Middleton said Payne ‘had a lovely aura around him’, describing him as a ‘lovely guy’.

‘He had positive energy around him,’ the 44-year-old said.

‘He was a visionary, he always thought and dreamed big, and that’s why he got to where he was, and he was loved.

‘He was one of those band members that was the glue, I believe, was the glue for One Direction, and it’s a shame to see such a positive individual die so young.’

Middleton added that he was away filming but wanted to ‘find out what’s happened to my good friend’.

Rylan Clark said Payne’s death was ‘so tragic’ on X, while fellow former X Factor contestants Jedward sent their love to Cheryl, his son Bear and ‘all the One Direction family’.

Socialite Paris Hilton also paid tribute on X, calling the singer’s death ‘so upsetting’, while BBC Radio 2 presenter Zoe Ball said ‘devastating news, dear Liam Payne’.

DJ and music producer Zedd, who featured alongside Payne on the 2017 song Get Low, called the singer’s death ‘absolutely heartbreaking’.

American singer and rapper Ty Dolla Sign said he will ‘miss’ Payne, captioning videos and pictures on his Instagram story: ‘Just talked to you two days ago my guy.’

Fellow boy band the Backstreet Boys also paid tribute, saying their hearts go out to ‘Directioners around the world’.

A statement on X added: ‘Words can not express the emotions we are collectively feeling right now, and it seems like the rest of the world is in the same boat.’

Education Secretary Bridget Phillipson has described the death of Payne as ‘very sad news’.

She told Sky News this morning: ‘It’s very sad news, it’s no age for someone to lose their life, and my thoughts are with his friends and family, this must be a total shock for them and very, very upsetting.’

She said of his friends and family that ‘my thoughts are with them at what must be a really difficult time’.

A number of industry bodies joined those paying tribute, including streaming giant Spotify, MTV and the Brit Awards who all said in separate statements that they are ‘deeply saddened’ by Payne’s death.

Payne’s journey to stardom began when he was just 14 years old at his lesser-known first audition for The X Factor.

Payne impressed judges with his own version of Fly Me To The Moon by Frank Sinatra – but was later eliminated from the show.

However, Payne gave his singing career another go auditioning for the competition again in 2010, where he quickly shot to fame as part of One Direction.

He and his former bandmates Horan , Malik , Styles and Tomlinson , were brought together by Simon Cowell and former judge Nicole Scherzinger who saw their potential as a group.

After just a few weeks of getting to know each other and non-stop rehearsing, the group impressed Cowell at their Judge’s Houses audition and sailed through to the live shows.

Cowell later admitted to Rolling Stone that it took him ‘about a millionth of a second’ to spot the group’s worldwide potential.

The fan reaction was instant too, with 1D hysteria soon dwarfing the show. Despite the adoration, the band ultimately finished in third place on the X Factor but shortly afterwards Cowell sealed their fate by signing the fivesome to a reported £2million Syco contract.

Keen to capitalise on the boys’ already devoted fanbase, Cowell moved quickly with recording for the band’s debut album beginning in January 2011.

One Direction became one of the biggest pop groups in the world with five albums, four world tours, one movie and a memorable music video for Red Nose Day in 2013 which featured then prime minister David Cameron happening upon them dancing in front of Number 10 Downing Street.

But six years after they were formed, with more than 20 million albums sold, the band were placed on indefinite hiatus with Malik having already left in 2015 to pursue a solo career.

Marking One Direction’s 10th anniversary in 2020, Payne shared a screenshot of a text message he sent to his father on the day he joined the group, reading: ‘I’m in a boyband.’

‘What a journey… I had no idea what we were in for when I sent this text to my dad years ago at this exact time the band was formed,’ he said.

In 2016, Payne signed a solo record deal with Capital Records UK.

He said at the time he was ‘really happy’ to have signed with them, adding: ‘One Direction will always be my family; I’m now excited to show what I can do as a solo artist.’

Over his solo career, Payne released hits Strip That Down and Get Low.

Away from the studio and stage, Payne entered into a relationship with former Girls Aloud star Cheryl, the pair having first met on The X Factor when she was a judge.

In March 2017, the couple announced the birth of their son Bear.

Proud new father Payne shared a photo of himself cradling a baby with dark hair on Instagram, with the caption: ‘I’m incredibly happy to welcome our new baby boy into the world, it’s a moment that I will never forget for the rest of my life and my favourite memory I have so far.’

The singer would go on to speak proudly of his son in the years to come, saying during one awards ceremony that Bear ‘constantly inspires’ him to be a better person.

In July 2018, Payne and Cheryl announced their split after two-and-a-half years together.

He opened up about their separation in the following months, saying it was tough to break up in the public spotlight and that announcing it was ‘like breaking up twice’.

In August 2020, Payne got engaged to American model Maya Henry, but the pair split during lockdown and announced the engagement had been broken off in June 2021.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, Payne helped provide more than 360,000 meals to people struggling as a result of the outbreak.

He donated to the Trussell Trust charity to support more than 100 food bank centres in Birmingham, Stoke-on-Trent, Coventry, Sheffield, Nottingham and Bristol.

Born in August 1993, Payne was frequently ill as a young child due to issues with one of his kidneys.

Over the course of his music career, the popstar collaborated with the likes of J Balvin, French Montana, Dixie D’Amelio and A Boogie Wit da Hoodie.

He leaves behind his parents, Geoff and Karen Payne, his son Bear, seven, and his two older sisters, Ruth and Nicola.

MTV released the following tribute: ‘We’re deeply saddened to learn of Liam Payne’s tragic passing today. During this difficult time, our hearts remain with his family, loved one, and fans.’

The Brit Awards said: ‘We’re incredibly sad to learn of the tragic passing of Liam Payne. Our thoughts and prayers are with his friends and family at this time.’

And Spotify added: ‘We are deeply saddened by the news of Liam Payne’s passing. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and the many fans who loved and supported him.’

MailOnline has approached Payne’s representatives for comment.

How Liam Payne got candid about recurring suicidal thoughts as he struggled through a 20-year mental health battle

The star, 31, fell from the third floor into the courtyard of the Casa Sur Hotel in Buenos Aires yesterday before medics confirmed his death.

Liam Payne was outspoken about how the global fame of One Direction changed his life and affected his relationship with alcohol , once admitting: 'I don't know if I've hit rock bottom yet'

Liam Payne was outspoken about how the global fame of One Direction changed his life and affected his relationship with alcohol , once admitting: ‘I don’t know if I’ve hit rock bottom yet’

Liam went onto compare going on stage and out in public to ‘putting the Disney costume on,’ admitting: ‘I was [drunk] quite a lot of the time because there was no other way to get your head around what was going on’.

‘I mean, it was fun. We had an absolute blast, but there were certain parts of it where it just got a little bit toxic.’

Speaking on This Morning in late 2019, Liam admitted he was as much scared of success as a solo artist as he was of failure.

‘That was the craziest thing, as the band stopped and we had a number of months off, it was almost like going through some weird, early retirement… it’s trying to find out who you are, what’s your purpose.’

‘I went through a number of different bits of therapy. As Strip That Down was coming out I was almost as afraid of its success as I was the failure which isn’t a very comfortable place to be in life.’

He explained how comedian Russell Brand was among those to guide him through those years, telling This Morning:

‘I went away, I had a thing with drink and it was a guy called Chip Somers who got me sober. I was sober for about a year and visited Russell Brand. We went down to meetings together.’ Brand was a patron of the Focus 12 treatment centre, founded by Somers at the time.

‘For anybody who’s having a problem with mental health, the best thing to do is speak to someone. We’re all as crazy as the next person.’

Whilst he was spoke about his year of being sober back in 2019, Liam later admitted his addiction continued during the Covid pandemic.

He went through a mental health crisis which he spoke about in 2021 while appearing on Ant Middleton’s Straight Talking programme.

He said he was ‘quite lucky to be here still’, and added: ‘There’s times where that level of loneliness and people getting into you every day every so often… it’s like, ‘When will this end?’… that’s almost nearly killed me a couple of times.’

‘I’ve been in a bad place, it’s definitely been on the menu a couple of times in my life… when things start to pile on top of each other that’s when it can really get you, you really have to change your view about it. One thing you can control in that situation is you.

‘You just get on with it, there will be another hurdle in a few weeks, a few months or maybe even the next day, you never really know.’

    It comes as:

Liam had also reflected on how badly his split from Girls Aloud star Cheryl affected him.

The pair having first met on The X Factor when she was a judge, and amid their whirlwind romnace in March 2017, the couple announced the birth of their son Bear.

The singer would go on to speak proudly of his son in the years to come, saying during one awards ceremony that Bear ‘constantly inspires’ him to be a better person.

But in July 2018, Payne and Cheryl announced their split after two-and-a-half years together, and he was later romantically linked to models Naomi Campbell and Maya Henry.

He opened up about his separation from Cheryl, saying it was tough to break up in the public spotlight and that announcing it was ‘like breaking up twice’.

Speaking to Ant Middleton in 2021 about his son, Liam said: ‘I get lonely if I can’t see Bear for a few days. It seems to the outside world that I have everything but there are so many parts missing. Uncertainty is a big thing in my life, I don’t know how long it will last.

‘Also, my home life situation is problematic and difficult. Distance is difficult. And there are 50 million rumours a week which are hard to ignore. Trust is difficult.

‘Being away from your child out of choice and no choice is difficult to barter with in your head. You know why you’re doing what you’re doing but you wonder what you’re missing out on. Have you got it right?

‘So many people get to the end of their life and go: ‘I wish I’d done this and that.’ I don’t want to be one of those people.’

Liam’s battles continued and in July 2023, he posted a video about spending 100 days in a rehab facility in Louisiana, telling fans he was celebrating six months of sobriety.

He said: ‘I just kind of feel like I’ve got more of a grip on life and everything that was getting away from me, I just feel like I’ve got more of a handle on it.

‘I just needed to take a little bit of time out for myself actually because I kind of became somebody who I didn’t really recognise anymore and I’m sure you guys didn’t either. I was in bad shape up until that point and I was really happy to kind of put a stopper to life and work.’

Liam said he hit ‘rock bottom’ after appearing on Logan Paul’s podcast back in June 2022, and apologised for taking his anger out on everybody else.

Liam thanked his son and his ex-girlfriend Cheryl for supporting his decision to get better. He added that his former bandmates Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik had ‘stuck by me’ and ‘came to my rescue’.

Discussing the infamous podcast, Liam said he ‘came across really big-headed’ and that ‘it was hard for me to watch back’ but that in a way it had ‘saved my life’ by causing him to seek help.

He explained how it was when he attended a Hans Zimmer concert in January 2023 that he was inspited to give up drinking.

‘I watching this beautiful symphony, I was having a drink, and I thought, ‘You know what? This isn’t really serving me at all. I don’t really need this right now.’ ‘

‘It’s the first time I’ve ever put a drink down and gone to someone else, ‘You finish this, I don’t need this right now.’ And I haven’t picked one up since, which has almost been six months, which I’m excited about.’

‘It’s good. It’s good to be in this position,’ he added. ‘I definitely don’t need those things anymore. The party’s over.’

Despite his July 2023 pledge to continue his sobriety, fans feared for the singer’s health following a string of worrying signs that his life once again had spiralled out of control.

In August last year Liam’s followers shared their concern after he cancelled his tour of South America after being hospitalised with a kidney infection.

Following the news about his condition, his mother Karen shared that she felt ‘helpless’ and was ‘worried sick’.

She told MailOnline at the time: ‘We are all worried sick about it but we just have to get on. It’s horrible – him being all the way over there.

‘All we can really do is sit it out here and hope for the best. There is nothing we can do. We feel helpless.’

Liam opened up about his mental health and revealed doctors diagnosed him with ‘a couple of conditions’ after he spent some time in a wellness clinic in the US last year after hitting ‘rock bottom’.

He shared a candid Instagram post to his Story in which he said he was having a tough day and family and friends could see he was still struggling.

Liam described ‘manic’ instances in his life and his difficulty in staying sober during ‘super low’ moments.

In the clip he admitted to having filmed the video numerous times before deleting it, before finally deciding this was the right time to share his story with his fans.

‘I know in my last video I mentioned I’d been diagnosed with a couple of conditions and I will not to go into too much detail, but one of them I have is, there’s a lot of manic things in my life which you guys saw,’ he said.

He continued: ‘But the other side of it is and that kind of feels like when when I would lose my sobriety in these moments that were super low and I felt like that today.

‘And it’s isolating the two things and seeing them separately and like I know what they are now’.

‘Luckily I have some amazing people around me that kind of look after me but I am sure they can see it in me too that I’m ‘not really here.”’

The song, For You, was one of two of Payne’s tracks as a solo artist that reached the top 10 in the UK official charts.

Payne was understood to be close friends with Ora, who was a judge on The X Factor in 2015, and even moved into her luxury £3.25million west London penthouse in 2021 with his ex-fiancée Maya Henry.

Posting to social media after the show, Ora wrote: ‘I’m devastated. He had the kindest soul, I will never forget.

‘I loved working with him so much – he was just such a joy to be around on and off stage. This tragic news breaks my heart.

‘Sending all my love and prayers to his family and loved ones. Our song For You takes on a whole new meaning for me now. R.I.P’

Payne had arrived in South America with his girlfriend Kate Cassidy on September 30, staying in Argentina for two weeks after only planning to spend ‘five days’ there.

On October 12, Ms Cassidy, 25, returned home to Florida after saying ‘I just need to go home’ in a TikTok video, with Payne staying behind and checking into the £230-a-night Casa Sur hotel alone.

Just 48 hours before his death, on October 14, it emerged that Payne’s ex-fiancée, Ms Maya Henry, had started legal proceedings against Payne, accusing him of obsessively contacting her and ‘weaponising’ his fans against her.

Two days later, Payne posted several social media videos, including one where he jokingly called his girlfriend a ‘loser’ for going home.

Hours later, police were called to the hotel following reports of an ‘aggressive man who could be under the influence of drugs or alcohol’.

Shortly afterwards, workers heard a loud sound in the hotel’s courtyard before the Wolverhampton-born singer’s body was discovered just after 5pm local time.

Shocked fans gathered outside after police cordoned off the area with forensic investigators seen entering and exiting in white protective suits and blue gloves.

The star was said to have been ‘acting erratically in the hotel lobby and smashed his laptop’ before he ‘had to be carried back to his room’, according to local media.

Payne released his debut solo album LP1 in December 2019 which included the songs Polaroid, Familiar and Strip That Down featuring Quavo.

He shares son Bear, born in 2017 with Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole having been in a high-profile relationship between 2016 and 2018.

In the same month, Payne was announced as a judge on a new Netflix show alongside former Destiny’s Child singer Kelly Rowland and The Pussycat Dolls star Nicole Scherzinger.

Among those also paying tribute to Payne today was TV presenter Dermot O’Leary who recalled him auditioning for The X Factor as a 14-year-old boy.

Payne had been staying in Argentina over the last few weeks and was pictured engaging with fans

O’Leary, who hosted The X Factor during both of Payne’s appearances, shared a photograph of the pair on stage, captioning the Instagram post: ‘The worst news.

‘I remember him as a 14-year-old turning up to audition on The X Factor, and blowing us away singing Sinatra. He just loved to sing,’ he wrote.

‘He was always a joy, had time for everyone, polite, grateful, and was always humble.’

Styles’ mother Anne Twist posted a broken-hearted emoji on Instagram, with the words: ‘Just a boy.’

‘Liam shared the same passions as me, the same dreams, so to see his life now end so young hits hard, I’m truly gutted and devastated for his family and of course his son Bear losing a dad.’

Shock and Outrage: Meghan Markle Allegedly Slaps Princess Charlotte!
Caught Red-Handed Slapping Princess Charlotte: Jessica Mulroney Reveals Meghan Markle’s Shocking Behavior During the Royal Wedding*

It sounds unbelievable, doesn’t it? Princess Charlotte was in tears during Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding in 2018. Now, Meghan’s friend, Jessica Mulroney, has spoken out, claiming that Meghan bullied Princess Charlotte during the wedding. Grab your popcorn because this is one story you won’t want to miss—a royal wedding gone sour, or a behind-the-scenes disaster?

On May 19, 2018, millions watched Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tie the knot. The event was filled with history and glamour, but behind the scenes, there was tension. Rumors of a fight over bridesmaid dresses, including those for Princess Charlotte, began circulating. Jessica Mulroney, Meghan’s friend, has offered a glimpse into what happened that day.

Tensions between royal family members are common, but this time, it seemed personal. Jessica claims that Meghan bullied Princess Charlotte. The issue started with the bridesmaid dresses; Meghan wanted them to fit her vision, possibly against royal traditions. This disagreement led to friction. Could this have been the breaking point that resulted in the tears seen around the world?

But did Meghan really bully Princess Charlotte? Speculation ran high about Meghan’s demands causing a rift. Mulroney’s post suggests that Meghan’s behavior was more than just a disagreement; she accused Meghan of bullying Charlotte. Stop for a moment: Princess Charlotte, the innocent flower girl, bullied at a royal wedding by one of the most talked-about figures in modern royal history. As shocking as it sounds, let’s consider the pressure of that day. Meghan was marrying into centuries of tradition, which could have caused tensions to boil over. But does that justify mistreatment, especially toward a young child?

While the world saw only the perfect moments, Princess Charlotte was spotted crying before the ceremony. The question on everyone’s mind is: why? Some believe Kate Middleton was upset by how her daughter was treated. If Mulroney’s claims are true, Kate’s protective instinct may have been triggered by something worse than mere nerves.

Did this incident set the tone for the famous royal rift? This bridesmaid row might have started the cooling relationship between Kate and Meghan. Sources suggest that Kate was left in tears after the confrontation, contradicting Meghan’s version of events. In interviews, Meghan has stated that she was the one who was upset. But could she have glossed over the pain felt by Charlotte and her mother?

Jessica Mulroney’s explosive posts have reignited this scandal. On Instagram, she shared that there’s more to the story, hinting at moments where Meghan allegedly crossed a line—not just with Charlotte, but with other bridesmaids as well. Meghan has always been seen as a champion of kindness and female empowerment, yet Mulroney’s revelations cast doubt on that image. Many wonder if Meghan was dealing with wedding stress in a way that compromised her ideals.

Mulroney’s posts don’t provide direct evidence but spark curiosity. Were Meghan Markle and Jessica Mulroney’s friendship broken because of these events? Could Mulroney be trying to protect her reputation while throwing Meghan under the bus?

Handling scandals is a delicate art for the royal family. Every word and action is carefully planned to protect the Crown’s image. However, since leaving royal duties, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been more open, giving us a glimpse into family strife but also opening the door to more scandals.

Princess Charlotte must feel uneasy knowing her experience as a bridesmaid is a global topic. As she grows older, reconciling these accusations with her aunt and uncle’s public image will be challenging.

The public is split on this issue. Some defend Meghan, saying the media unfairly targets her, while others believe this incident proves that Meghan disrupted the royal family’s harmony. This latest revelation adds another chapter to a saga with no end in sight.

What can we learn from this drama?

    1. Communication is Key: Whether planning a royal wedding or managing work relationships, misunderstandings can cause conflicts. Talk things out before they escalate.

    2. Set Boundaries Early: Stressful events like weddings expose unresolved tensions. Set expectations and boundaries early to avoid emotional blowups.

    3. Choose Empathy Over Ego: This story centers around a little girl caught in the crossfire. When stress is high, it’s crucial to step back, breathe, and approach situations with empathy.

We may never know the full truth of what happened between Meghan Markle and Princess Charlotte. Was it a miscommunication, a difference in style, or something more personal? Jessica Mulroney’s claims add fuel to the fire, but without more evidence, opinions vary. One thing is clear: the royal family faces the same relationship complexities as everyone else.

So what’s your take on the situation? Do you think Meghan Markle was unfairly targeted, or does this new information change your view? Share your thoughts in the comments below and let’s keep the conversation going! This royal drama shows no signs of slowing down, and your voice could be part of the next chapter.

With Jessica Mulroney’s recent revelations, many wonder what this means for Meghan Markle’s public image. Will these allegations spark further investigations into the royal wedding, or will they be quietly swept under the rug as just another tabloid-worthy dispute?

Meghan and Prince Harry have always spoken out against unfair press coverage, sharing their stories in interviews and legal battles. Now they face new allegations. Will Meghan respond to these claims? Might she release a statement or give her side in an interview?

Megan has used media to reshape public views of her life, but she might also choose to stay silent, allowing the story to fade away. Meghan and Harry have been focusing on their Netflix projects and charity work, which could help shift the public’s focus to more positive topics. However, remaining silent might allow public opinion to shape how people see her.

Megan’s friendship with Jessica Mulroney has been strained. Mulroney was a key figure in Meghan’s rise to fame, but now her accusations have raised questions about their friendship. Was Mulroney’s move a betrayal, or a way to protect herself?

The palace might respond to these allegations, even if just a hint. The royal family usually remains quiet during disputes, but the Sussexes’ visibility and controversies might change that. Palace insiders might leak counternarratives to the press, shaping the story without breaking protocol.

Public opinion is crucial for Meghan Markle. She has supporters who see her as unfairly treated, but this scandal could sway even her loyal fans. Will this incident damage her credibility, or is it just another challenge she can overcome?

This situation is about trust, not just wedding dresses or hurt feelings. Meghan and the royal family have been fighting for public trust for years, and this latest drama highlights how fragile that trust can be.

Jessica Mulroney’s claims have stirred the pot, but could there be more to the story? Royal scandals often have layers that aren’t immediately visible. Others might come forward with their own accounts, indicating that this could be just the beginning of a larger story.

This isn’t just about Princess Charlotte and a tearful bridesmaid; it’s about power, privilege, and family tensions.

This story is undeniably human, even if it involves royalty. Family dynamics are complex, and we’ve all experienced tension at weddings or family gatherings. The stakes here are high, with global attention on every move.

The royal family may live in palaces, but they face emotional struggles just like the rest of us. Stress can lead anyone to snap, and the bridesmaid dress drama illustrates that even the calmest can lose their cool under pressure. How we react in those moments defines us.

Friendships can change, sometimes painfully. Jessica Mulroney’s role in this scandal demonstrates how loyalty and self-preservation can shift even when reputations are at risk.

Meghan Markle Humiliated: People Magazine Drops Her in a Hilarious Twist
It Looks Like People Magazine Has Finally Had Enough of Meghan Markle’s Drama!

    People Magazine Celebrates 50 Years—But Where’s Meghan?

As People Magazine celebrated its 50th anniversary, a few notable celebrities graced their covers. While you might think to ask who was featured, I’m more interested in who was missing.

Let’s check out the clip (minus the music for copyright reasons, of course). There’s Nicole Kidman, Matthew McConaughey, Jennifer Aniston, Viola Davis, Venus Williams, The Rock, Reese Witherspoon, Michael J. Fox, and many more recognizable names. But wait—where’s Meghan?

    The Mystery of Meghan’s Absence

Honestly, I have my theories. I believe People Magazine used to act as a mouthpiece for Meghan and Harry, often publishing flattering pieces about them that were likely fed to them by their PR team. There’s even been evidence of this that I’ve reported on before.

But it seems like People Magazine has finally had enough of the drama, dropping both Meghan and Harry from their celebratory event. Interestingly, instead of featuring them, they included a **dog**! To me, that’s a cheeky signal that they’re throwing shade at Meghan and Harry.

    The Royal Dog Drama

Now, let’s talk about the infamous dog narrative surrounding Meghan and Harry. Remember Harry’s claim in his memoir *Spare* about an alleged fight with Prince William, where he fell into a dog bowl? I find that hard to believe!

And then there’s Meghan’s questionable dog-related history. For example, her recent venture, American Riviera Orchard, hasn’t produced any products for sale as of this recording—another big fail on her part. Plus, we’re still waiting for a clear explanation regarding her previous dog that mysteriously had its legs broken.

A Sign of Things to Come?

With People Magazine marking its 50th anniversary, the omission of Meghan and Harry is highly significant. Instead of celebrating with them, the magazine opted to highlight a dog. This change seems to indicate that they’re officially distancing themselves from Meghan and Harry.

When the Hollywood Reporter recently published an article alleging bullying by Meghan, she didn’t respond through People Magazine. Instead, she chose US Weekly, a much lower-tier publication. This shift suggests that People Magazine is done with the drama.

Twitter Reacts: The Public Weighs In

Twitter users have not held back on their thoughts regarding this situation. One user, Sonia Patterson, humorously stated she wants to buy a corgi and name it “Megan.” Another remarked that it’s clear you’ve become “persona non grata” in Hollywood if you’re excluded from such celebrations.

In the midst of this, there are hilarious memes circulating on Twitter that poke fun at Meghan’s absence. One Twitter account cleverly noted that a dog was included instead of the Sussexes, emphasizing the shift in public perception.

The journalist also told Woman’s Own that while the former Spice Girl has never been on the show, there have been some “fabulous stars” drinking tea with the loose-lipped women, including Whoopi Goldberg and Goldie Hawn.

Victoria and David’s live were under the microscope again recently when Tom Bower released his explosive new book, which is based on the couple’s marriage.

The House of Beckham: Money, Sex and Power, written by the investigative biographer, includes many alleged events about their relationship through extensive research, expert sourcing and interviews with insiders.

Victoria was said to be “livid” after its release when murky details surrounding David’s alleged affair with Rebecca Loos were published. There were also damning details about her rumoured dislike of Geri Horner, who the fashion designer reportedly mocked for her celebrity romance with Chris Evans.

With the book’s release just weeks before their 25th wedding anniversary, Victoria was said to be unhappy with the timing and how it might portray the pair.

A source told Closer Magazine: “Victoria is livid about the upcoming book, because what was supposed to be a landmark date for them is instead going to be reliving the hell that almost broke her. Instead of being able to celebrate their marriage and the ups and downs of their journey and the love and life they have built together, it’s all coming under attack.” The mum-of-four was also reportedly “worried” about the book being set up to “bring down” the couple’s image and portray them as “work and money obsessed people”

The book came after the release of David’s self-titled Netflix documentary, in which his wife opened up about the great difficulty they faced in their marriage when he was accused of infidelity.

Speaking in his Netflix documentary, Victoria shared: “Up until Madrid sometimes it felt like us against everybody else but we were together, we were connected, we had each other. But when we were in Spain, it didn’t really feel like we had each other either. And that’s sad. I can’t even begin to tell you how hard it was and how it affected me. It was a nightmare.”
