Kate Middleton shares new video with major update on her next appearance

The Princess of Wales has delighted royal fans by sharing a behind-the-scenes teaser video with ‘exciting news’.

Kate, 42, is recovering from cancer and chemotherapy treatment, in what has been dubbed a ‘brutal’ year by her husband Prince William. But in a major update on her next public appearance, it seems she wants to end the year on a high. That’s because Kensington Palace has confirmed Kate will host her annual Christmas carol concert this year at Westminster Abbey, which has become a firm fixture in the royals’ festive diaries. And to celebrate the news that the concert is set to take place on December 6, William and Kate’s Instagram account posted a special teaser video showing early preparations for the big event. In the clip, a printing press can be seen embossing Kate’s official cypher on to card ready for them to be made into invitations.

The caption reads: “Something exciting is coming… The invitations are fresh off the press for this year’s Together At Christmas Carol Service, which will be returning to Westminster Abbey on Friday 6 December. We can’t wait for you to join us too! Tune in on @ itv and @itvxofficial on Christmas Eve.”

It comes as the Palace said Kate, who honoured the war dead at Remembrance events at the weekend, particularly wanted the theme of this year’s service to celebrate those supporting others in need, with a focus on the importance of love and empathy.

Kensington Palace said: “This year’s service provides a moment to reflect upon the importance of love and empathy, and how much we need each other, especially in the most difficult times of our lives. The service will shine a light on individuals from all over the UK who have shown love, kindness and empathy towards others in their communities.”

The Palace added: “This year, Her Royal Highness wanted to celebrate the many people supporting those in need – individuals who have inspired, counselled, comforted, and above all else shown that love is the greatest gift we can receive. This theme takes inspiration from the Christmas story which encourages us to consider the experiences of others and the important human need of giving and receiving empathy.”

It will be the fourth time Kate has staged her Together At Christmas carol service, which is supported by The Royal Foundation. The event will be filmed and broadcast as part of a special programme on ITV1 and ITVX on Christmas Eve.

Unexpected return! Prince William welcomes Harry to the United Kingdom after a mystical message from Princess Diana: My mother spoke to me in a dream…

In an unexpected attempt to heal family wounds, Prince William has extended an official invitation to his brother Harry to return to the United Kingdom, a gesture that is attracting the attention of followers of the monarchy. According to close sources, William’s initiative arose after experiencing an emotional dream with his mother, Princess Diana, in which she conveyed a profound message about the value of family and the importance of resolving the conflicts that have marked their relationship in recent years.

Since Harry and Meghan parted ways with the royal family in 2020, the relationship between the siblings has gone through tensions and clashes that became even more visible after Harry’s statements about his experiences in the family and the publication of his autobiography. These tensions not only affected their connection as brothers, but also generated controversy in the public sphere and put at risk the perception of stability within the monarchy.

Harry’s response to the invitation has been positive. For him, this gesture is an important sign that his brother is truly seeking reconciliation. Harry, who has expressed on several occasions the desire to maintain a balanced relationship with his family, could see this opportunity as a way to alleviate the distance that has affected both his personal life and the life of his family in the United Kingdom.

Observers and analysts of the monarchy agree that this attempt at reconciliation could be a turning point, not only in the relationship of the brothers, but also in the public perception of the royal family. The image of unity and stability that the British monarchy represents has been weakened in recent times, and a reconciliation between William and Harry could be a sign of hope and strength in times of change.

The figure of Princess Diana continues to be fundamental in the lives of both princes. Diana’s relationship with her children was always characterized by a deep love and a special connection that many remember fondly. The fact that this approach has been prompted by a vision of Diana in a dream has touched the emotional fibers of many followers, who see in this act a symbol of her legacy and the spiritual bond that still unites her children.
Prince William Reflects on How Princess Diana 'Had a Really Big Impact' on Him
The expectations now are to see how this rapprochement will develop and if both brothers will be able to find common ground to build a solid relationship. Public opinion is following every move closely, hoping that this opportunity will bring peace and restoration to a family that, like any other, faces difficulties but also has the opportunity to heal.

This possible reunion between William and Harry not only represents an opportunity for family reconciliation, but could consolidate the unity and strength of the British monarchy, sending a message of hope and renewal to an institution that has survived numerous challenges.

Prince Harry has been recognised as a leader driving climate action as he’s been named on the second annual Time100 Climate 2024 list.

Yesterday, Time magazine unveiled the list of the “100 most influential leaders driving business to real climate action”.

The Duke of Sussex, 40, was named for his work with his environmental tourism initiative, Travalyst.

He launched the not-for-profit organisation in 2019 – when he was still a working royal – to help “both travellers and travel companies make better, greener choices”.

Harry was named in the same ‘Titan’ category as Bill Gates and Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, the King of Bhutan, and his profile bio reflected his inspiration for founding Travalyst.

It read: “The Duke of Sussex supports conservation groups in Africa and says he really became an environmentalist during a trip in 2012 to the Caribbean when a 7-year-old boy told him that England’s environmental impact was damaging the coral reefs.

“After that interaction, he was inspired to start Travalyst (‘travel’ and ‘catalyst’), a nonprofit that provides people booking travel with emissions and other sustainability data so they can consider the lowest impact options.

“The aim is to help make a dent in the industry’s carbon footprint; tourism makes up about 11% of global greenhouse gas emissions.”

During his recent trip to New York for Climate Week, Harry joined Travalyst as it announced its strategy for the next five years.

Kate Middleton’s Decision to Wear Three Poppy Pins Instead of Just One Is Deeply Personal

It’s a tradition she began years ago and has continued, including at Nov. 10’s Remembrance Sunday event at The Cenotaph

Kate Middleton wore three poppies pinned to her black Catherine Walker ensemble for Remembrance Sunday — and there’s a meaningful reason why.

The Princess of Wales, 42, made back-to-back appearances on Nov. 9 and Nov. 10, first at the Festival of Remembrance at Royal Albert Hall on Saturday night and then, on Sunday morning, at Remembrance Sunday at The Cenotaph war memorial. This marked a big step in Princess Kate’s gradual return to royal life, which began after she announced on Sept. 9 that she had completed chemotherapy, roughly six months after she announced on March 22 she had been diagnosed with cancer.

As she stood on the balcony of the Foreign Office building with Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, Kate wore three poppy pins affixed to her coatdress. While many members of the royal family stuck with just one, Kate’s choice to wear three had a symbolic meaning: they honor her great-grandmother’s three brothers, all of whom died in World War I, according to The Daily Mail.

According to The Mirror, Kate had the chance to view letters from her ancestors during an “emotional visit” to the Imperial War Museum in 2018. Kate began wearing three poppy pins to Remembrance Sunday as far back as 2015, having worn one just the year before, according to The Sun. She continued to wear the set of three every year until 2019, when she opted to wear the Codebreakers brooch in honor of her grandmother, Valerie Glassbarrow. In 2020, Kate went back to the set of three poppies, this time accessorizing them with the Royal British Legion crystal flower.

Remembrance Sunday takes place on the second Sunday of November every year and is a national commemoration to remember the members of the Armed Forces across the U.K. and Commonwealth who lost their lives in conflict or war. Kate has never missed Remembrance Sunday since marrying into the royal family in 2011.

The poppy has been used since 1921 to commemorate military members who have died in wars. The red flower is mostly associated with the U.K. and Commonwealth countries for Remembrance Day on Nov. 11, and the poppy symbol is believed to have come from the poem “In Flanders Fields” by John McCrae, a poem about World War I.

The royal’s Nov. 10 outfit was loaded with symbolism, even beyond the three poppies. She wore a coatdress from Catherine Walker, a tribute to her late mother-in-law Princess Diana, who counted Walker as her favorite designer and a personal friend. The night before, at the Festival of Remembrance, Kate paid another sartorial tribute to Diana, as she wore her Collingwood pearl earrings to the occasion.

On Nov. 10 at Remembrance Sunday, Kate wore a pair of Bahrain Pearl Drop earrings that were a gift from Queen Elizabeth, who received the earrings as a wedding present when she married Prince Philip on Nov. 20, 1947. (The Princess of Wales wore the same meaningful earrings to the late Queen’s funeral in September 2022.)

Queen Elizabeth, like Kate, also chose to wear more than one poppy — the late monarch wore five poppies, one for the Royal Navy, the Royal Marines, the British Army, the Royal Air Force and the Defense Medical Services.

Other working royals at The Cenotaph alongside Kate and Sophie were King Charles, Prince William, Prince Edward, Princess Anne, Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence, Prince Richard, the Duke of Gloucester, Birgitte, the Duchess of Gloucester and Prince Edward, the Duke of Kent.

Queen Camilla was absent from this weekend’s Remembrance events, missing both events on Nov. 9 and Nov. 10  as she continues to recover from a chest infection. On Nov. 9, the palace released a statement confirming her absence that said, “Following doctors’ guidance to ensure a full recovery from a seasonal chest infection, and to protect others from any potential risk, Her Majesty will not attend this weekend’s Remembrance events.”

“While this is a source of great disappointment to The Queen, she will mark the occasion privately at home and hopes to return to public duties early next week,” the statement continued.

This weekend marked a big step forward in Princess Kate’s gradual return to public duty, which is expected to continue in December with her annual Christmas carol concert at Westminster Abbey. In her emotional Sept. 9 video announcing she’d completed chemotherapy, she said in part, “Doing what I can to stay cancer free is now my focus. Although I have finished chemotherapy, my path to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes.”

“I am, however, looking forward to being back at work and undertaking a few more public engagements in the coming months when I can,” she added. She’s kept true to her word, attending both private and photographed meetings at Windsor Castle around some of her key causes and stepping out with the Prince of Wales in Southport, England on Oct. 10 ahead of her Remembrance appearances over the weekend.

“She is clearly a vital piece of the royal family, really important both symbolically and in reality as a future Queen,” royal biographer Sally Bedell Smith tells PEOPLE. “It was good that people saw her. You can’t say she is back … but she is coming back.”

“Being a senior member of the royal family and doing these ceremonial events is obviously important to her,” Bedell Smith adds.

Meghan Markle reacts to the explosive secret about Archie’s paternity revealed by Matt Lauer

Meghan Markle responds to Matt Lauer’s shocking revelation regarding Archie’s paternity (video)

During a guest appearance on a well-liked YouTube channel devoted to celebrity rumors, former NBC anchor Matt Lauer dropped a bombshell regarding the paternity of Meghan Markle’s son, Archie. The shocking revelation has caused waves throughout British tabloids and social media.

Even though Lauer never said outright that Archie wasn’t Prince Harry’s son, his well-chosen remarks and sly looks unnerved viewers.

Lauer made reference to his own demise as a result of sexual harassment claims while highlighting the perils of unquestioningly putting your faith in public individuals and the media. The media has a habit of presenting some couples in a particular way, he said, pointing a finger at the camera. Although fairy tales are promoted to us all, the reality is frequently much more mundane.

Lauer went on to cite a royal family-affiliated source who had leaked shocking details about Archie’s fatherhood. Lauer brought highlighted differences in the timeframe between Meghan and Harry’s relationship and Archie’s birth, despite the awfully hazy facts of this purported knowledge.

Suspense filled social media, with #ArchiePaternity going viral across the globe. There were several speculations and memes circulating.

While ardent supporters of Meghan Markle rejected Lauer’s allegations as the desperate ramblings of a disgraced media personality, some said that there might be more to the tale than meets the eye given Meghan’s conspicuous absence from recent royal festivities.

One aspect of Meghan Markle’s encounter with Lauer persisted as especially unnerving: her total lack of comment. Meghan has not yet responded to the circulating reports regarding Archie’s paternity, despite the international uproar around her name.

Others claim that this quiet says a lot. From her contentious relationship with her own father to her outspokenness on social issues, Meghan Markle has never been afraid to speak her mind. Her resounding silence on this subject contrasts sharply with her often frank remarks. Meghan Markle ignites the flames by refusing to address the rumors. Social media era silence can frequently be interpreted as acknowledgment of guilt or shame. Every day that goes by without Meghan saying anything lets the rumors fester and get worse.

Reporters who disagree say that Meghan is deliberately keeping quiet to shield her son from the media circus. This argument has some merit, but it’s crucial to keep in mind that Meghan seems to be hiding something the longer she remains silent.

The real story is still unknown. Matt Lauer’s reliability is called into question due to his past, even though he has a background in journalism. But the fact that a well-known media figure would comment in such a way on a royal child guarantees that the rumors will never stop swirling. There’s no turning back Meghan Markle’s silence on this one. Her carefully built reputation will be further harmed by these explosive charges the longer she puts off responding to them.

The image is just one of thousands that Anwar Hussein, now 86, and his sons Samir, 44, and Zak, 43, who have followed in their father’s footsteps, have taken of the Royal family over the years.

But it also held a very special place in the late Princess of Wales‘s heart.

‘Out of all the pictures you’ve taken, this is probably my favourite one’, she told Anwar.

Now the veteran snapper and his talented sons are exhibiting a selection of these  remarkable photographs of the late Princess and her family, paired with their first-hand accounts of the stories behind each moment.

Princess Diana: Accredited Access Exhibition, is arriving in St Katharine Docks, London for the first time from May 25.

It has previously featured in Melbourne, South Carolina, Las Vegas and more to critical acclaim.

The exhibition consists of ‘larger than life images, bespoke art installations and first-hand narration’ in a 60-minute experience delving into the lives of the royal family.

Accredited by the Royal Family, the Husseins make up the longest-standing family of official royal photographers, having collectively spent over four decades working side-by-side with the princess and her family.

They received special access to document the lives of the royals in public, as well as capturing more intimate, private moments, including the unforgettable revenge dress which dared to break royal protocol and the princess’ simple handshake with an AIDS patient that showed the world how to be human.

Samir and Zak followed their father’s footsteps into royal photography by capturing the lives of Diana’s sons Prince William and Prince Harry, and now are multi-award winning and celebrated photographers themselves.

The story behind Diana’s ‘favourite’ photograph reveals that she met the youngster during her visit to Imran Khan’s cancer hospital in Lahore, Pakistan, during April 1996.

Sadly, he was gravely ill and did not survive.

‘She was so sad when she found out the boy had passed away shortly after her visit,’ the photographers note.

Other iconic moments are captured on camera – including Diana’s lone visit to the Taj Mahal in India in 1992.

On the same night in 1994 that Prince Charles admitted to the nation he had cheated on his wife, she attended a Vanity Fair party – and made sure the world’s media was firmly fixed on her.

Speaking to The Sun, Zak said: ‘Sometimes you don’t even realsie you’re documenting history until after, like this photo my father took of Diana wearing her ‘revenge dress’ on the night Charles made his notorious adultery admission on television.’

Boris Johnson breaks silence after book claims Queen Elizabeth called him an ‘idiot’

The former prime minister has dismissed claims the late Queen called him an ‘idiot’ just two days before her death.

Boris Johnson has dismissed claims Queen Elizabeth II once referred to him as an “idiot” just days before her death, calling the allegations “highly unlikely”.

According to the book, titled ‘Out’ by Tim Shipman, the late Queen allegedly made the harsh comment during a family gathering at Balmoral Castle in Scotland.

Appearing on GB News, Boris denied the claims and told the host: “I think it’s highly unlikely that she said that.”

He added: “Because, of course, no prime minister organises the funeral. It’s done by DCMS.

“I think it’s possible that it’s malicious tittle-tattle and what I can say, as I do say by my book ‘Unleashed’, I only mention her for the second time in a very decorous way. What I do try to give a picture of what it was like to meet her and the truth about the relationship.”

In his new book, Tim Shipman, claims Queen Elizabeth II joked, “At least I won’t have that idiot organising my funeral now” after accepting Boris Johnson’s resignation as prime minister.

In an additional quip about his personality, the author also claims the late Queen added that Boris was “perhaps better suited to the stage” and made the quip with “mischief in her eye”.

The incident allegedly occurred when the late Queen appointed Liz Truss as her 15th prime minister in one of the final official acts of her reign.

Further dismissing the claims on GB News, Boris questioned the source: “I’d like to know who the source of that is. I’m told by Shippers that it was a courtier to a Tory cabinet minister, which is three removed and I think it’s highly unlikely to be accurate.”

The author also notes the final few days of Queen Elizabeth II’s life had been “happy ones”. He penned: “She had enjoyed a gathering of her family and treasured staff two evenings before her death. The late Queen passed away on September 8, 2022, at Balmoral, which is where she had been staying for the summer.

Liz Truss, who was Prime Minister at the time of the late monarch’s death, has shared details from her final meeting with Queen Elizabeth II.

The late Queen had welcomed Ms Truss to her home in the Scottish Highlands on September 6, 2022, to appoint her prime minister, and because of her health issues she was not able to travel to London to do so.

According to Ms Truss, The late Queen told the former prime minister they would be “meeting again soon” at her final official engagement before her death.

The politician described the late monarch, who was 96 when she died, as appearing “frail”, but she said she was “mentally alert”, “absolutely on top of” the proceedings and reassured Ms Truss they would meet again soon.

She said: “In the meeting at Balmoral, she was absolutely on top of what was happening.

“She was very, very keen to reassure me that we’d be meeting again soon. It was very important to her.”

The book ‘Out’ by Tim Shipman is published by HarperCollins and is published on November 21.
