Henry Cavill takes on the role of Wolverine variant – Prepare for the transformation performance!

The latest Barside Buzz folks says that Henry Cavill will play a Wolverine variant in Deadpool & Wolverine, plus that Eternals 2 is ‘transformed’ into another project. There is of course only one place to start and that’s Henry Cavill as Wolverine. I mean, really?

Well the first outlet to make this claim was GFR. They don’t have a good enough hit rate for me to cover their scoops but they do get a few. The reason I am covering it now is because CWGST is now corroborating this story, and they are not alone. Toast does have a very good hit rate.

Honestly, this is not that bad an idea if Cavill was going to be Wolverine in the MCU post-Secret Wars. However, I will throw some doubt on that as Cavill may be too old to start playing Logan with a young X-Men cast. Therefore, if this is just a one and done, never see Cavill again in the MCU, it more feels like a waste to me.

Just guess work an opinions from me folks, for all I know I’m wrong. But this is an interesting rumor to say the least.

Second up from MTTSH, who backs that there will be no Eternals 2 movie, However, she also says that’s partly because the film ‘transformed’ into another project.

Look, if there’s never a movie called Eternals 2, even if some of the characters return, then it got canned as far as I’m concerned. As for what it transformed into, there’s not a lot to go on here. Some fans have started speculating this will become an animated sequel instead. I have no thoughts on that, but there’s also no evidence to suggest it’s true.

Truth is, I’m not sure whether the majority of fans are that bothered if we do get Eternals 2. I liked it more than many is memory serves. However, It was just okay, so I’m not really going to get upset if it never happens.

What do you think of this Barside Buzz? Henry Cavill will play a Wolverine variant in Deadpool & Wolverine, plus that Eternals 2 is ‘transformed’ into another project. Let us know what you think below?
