Ali Bastian shares cancer treatment heartache
The actress is currently undergoing weekly chemotherapy sessions. The treatment caused her hair to start falling out, and now Ali has revealed that she made the heartbreaking decision to shave her head.
Posting a picture of herself sitting in what looked to be a hospital chair, Ali shared the news. In the picture, she was seen wearing a blonde wig with touches of pink weaved into the ends. She said it was a “fun one” bought online.
I’ve found loosing my hair a lot harder than I imagined.
However, in her caption, Ali shared her sadness over the loss of her hair.
“I’ve found loosing my hair a lot harder than I imagined. I did shave my head in the end and didn’t feel the ‘taking back the power‘ bit that people talk about.
“Just felt a bit gutted,” she said.
‘Staggered by how much wigs can cost’
Looking on the brighter side, Ali shared how she’s taken to wearing wigs thanks to her acting past.
“However … being an actor I’ve worn wigs lots and I’ve found wearing a wig sometimes really helps me feel more ‘normal’,” she shared.
“This is a fun one I bought online for @hairweavon_com. I was staggered by how much wigs can cost so I’ve found a couple of places that do really good lace front synthetic ones.”

‘Total shock’
Ali previously revealed she was in “total shock” after she found a lump while she was breastfeeding daughter Isabella.
The actress told OK!: “It was a total shock. I have mornings when I wake up and I’ve forgotten and then suddenly I remember. I’m still trying to process it.”
After Ali’s chemotherapy ends, she will then undergo radiotherapy treatment. Early next year, she is due to have a mastectomy.
