Lorraine Kelly slams Lime bikes with brutal two-word comment after Joan Collins rant!

Lorraine Kelly opened up about Lime bike parking on her ITV show, slamming those who park on London pavements and comparing it to “horrible” graffiti across the city

Lorraine Kelly has slammed Lime bikes after Dame Joan Collins recently lashed out at the “loutish” cyclists using them. The ITV presenter was discussing Dame Joan’s recent criticism of Lime users who park their bikes on London pavements on this morning’s show.

The 92-year-old Hollywood star recently posted a photo of herself in a sea of Lime bikes on Instagram, writing: “#shocked about the #loutish behaviour of @lime #bicycle users #pavementsareforpedestrians #limebike.” Speaking about Dame Joan’s post, Lorraine said: “Good for her!”

When informed that Lime bikes don’t have a docking station and can be parked in certain areas, Lorraine said: “That’s daft.” She later said: “There should be docking places for people to put them back but don’t just leave them lying around. It’s indicative of the fact that people just throw their rubbish everywhere.

“People graffiti. People don’t care. Horrible. They don’t give a monkeys.”

The Mirror has reached out to Lime for comment.

Earlier this week, Lorraine sent an emotional message to Kelsey Parker live on air after the heartbreaking loss of her newborn Phoenix. Speaking to viewers during Monday’s show, Lorraine said: “We’ve got some very sad news for you this morning. That there is Kelsey Parker and her partner Will. Kelsey has been on the show many times. They very sadly announced the death of their baby son.”

Lorraine added that she’s sending the family her love after the tragic news. “I know how much she was looking forward to that and I can’t being to image what she’s going through,” she said.

Earlier this month, Lorraine appeared to drop a defiant hint to ITV bosses about her plans to fight for her show amid upcoming cuts, saying that she’s “not done yet”.

As part of ITV’s latest cuts to their daytime offerings, Lorraine’s show will be slashed to 30 weeks a year and will air for just 30 minutes instead of an hour.

In her first interview since the news broke, Lorraine said in response to being told that she’s a national treasure: “Well, that’s nice, but it’s only because I’ve been around for so long. I’ve been doing telly for over 40 years. It’s mad isn’t it? It’s absolutely crazy. I started in breakfast telly in 1984, and I’m still getting away with it. Extraordinarily.

“40 years in TV last year was incredible. I got a BAFTA. ‘Here’s a BAFTA for being alive.’ I thought, ‘Hang on a minute, I’m not done yet.'”
