Gogglebox star Georgia Bell has revealed her heartbreak just hours after announcing her engagement. The 25-year-old became part of the Channel 4 programme in 2018 alongside best friend Abbie Lynn. It’s safe to say the pair quickly won over viewers with their charm. Throughout the years, Georgia and Abbie – who reside in Durham – have left audiences in hysterics with their witty remarks and amusing reactions to television moments. Beyond the programme, Georgia is a devoted mother to two boys, Hugh – who arrived in July 2022 – and Ralphie – who was born in November 2024 – with partner Josh Newby.
Recently, Georgia announced the thrilling news of her engagement to boyfriend Josh during a romantic getaway to Dubai. The hairdresser posted an Instagram video capturing the touching moment Josh popped the question during a boat excursion.
Georgia – who has been in a relationship with Josh since 2018 – wrote: “14.10.25 YES YES YES! ! Officially in our fiancé era. A memory to remember for a lifetime.”
Nevertheless, despite her joyful engagement announcement, this week has probably been emotional for Georgia, as she recently honoured her cherished grandmother.
On (October 20) Georgia shared an Instagram Story featuring a photograph of a stunning flower arrangement. In the bottom right corner, Georgia added a picture of her nan cradling a newborn baby.
She wrote: “2 years since you gained your wings nana. I miss you everyday.”
In Georgia’s engagement video, Georgia appeared absolutely shocked as Josh dropped to one knee whilst she sported a white mini dress and sunglasses.
Josh wore a blue and white striped shirt and light-coloured shorts as he swept Georgia, 25, away for a romantic proposal.
They embraced tenderly before sharing their first kiss as a betrothed couple.
The engagement post received overwhelming support from her fellow Gogglebox stars.
The Malone family wrote: “Such lovely news, congratulations to you all.”
Ellie Warner penned: “Congratulations wonderful news,” while sister Izzi Warner commented: “Aww lovely news congratulations.”
Jenny and Lee added: “Congratulations to you both wow great news much love to ya xx.”
