Strictly Come Dancing has been hit by another wave of fix accusations after the judges singled out one contestant as a favourite to win the show, only three weeks in.
Jamie Borthwick was lauded by the judging panel on Saturday night, after his performance of the Quickstep with his pro partner Michelle Tsiakkas to I’m Still Standing.
The EastEnders star, 30, dressed up as the iconic Elton John, complete with feather boa and rhinestone covered glasses, scoring an impressive 30 points.
However, viewers criticised the judges for predicting that Jamie would lift the Glitterball trophy, while others declared it was ‘unfair’ that the actor got to do the Quickstep, after he won the Strictly Christmas special with the same dance.

‘I think you could be one of the favourites to lift the trophy to be quite honest with you. I think you are an exceptional talent.’
Echoing the sentiment, Motsi Mabuse agreed: ‘Yes, Anton, I think the Glitterball is quite close to you!’
And host Tess Daly drew attention to the stellar comment after the feedback, saying: ‘Thank you judges. Two out of four mentioned the Glitterball… that’s big news!’
For his part, Jamie modestly declared he had long journey ahead to get to the final and said: ‘It’s a bit too early to be mentioning the Glitterball, but nonetheless, I appreciate everything they say.’
And viewers at home agreed with him, taking to social media to say: ‘too early for glitterball talk. Shish judges.’
‘Nah I can’t see Jamie lifting the glitterball. A lot of incredible dancers this year. Don’t even think he’ll reach the final.’
‘It’s only Week 3 and the judges already think Jamie is going to win; telling poor jamie he’s going to win the glitter ball when we all know it’s being rigged for chris is a choice…’
While others were annoyed that Jamie had received high praise for doing the Quickstep, which was the dance that he had performed on the Christmas Special last year.

Jamie Borthwick reveals feeling nervous ahead of Strictly performance
The soap star had been partnered with Nancy Xu for the festive episode, and danced the Quickstep to Merry Christmas Everyone.
They scored perfect 10s from all four of the judges and beat out fellow contestants Dan Snow, Sally Nugent, Danny Cipriani, Tillie Amartey and Keisha Buchanan to be crowned the winners.
Fans complained that it was ‘unfair’ he got to do the dance style again, writing: ‘jamie doing a quickstep when he did a quickstep in the christmas show and won feels unfair… this should’ve been one of the dances he never got to do.’
‘The judges mentioning the Glitterball after Jamie’s Quickstep ( the dance that won him the Xmas special last year) If that’s not a coincidence I don’t know what is’.
‘When Jamie won the the Christmas special it was with a Quickstep, so I’m a bit surprised they have given him the dance this series, seems a bit unfair?!
It comes after the second contestant to be eliminated from the competition was leaked online, ahead of the results show.
The BBC competition is set to air the prerecorded results on Sunday night, revealing which two couples received the least votes and ended up in the dance off.
However, a notorious mole on the show has already revealed the bottom two and leaked which celebrity will be sent packing.
