Prince Harry is not on good terms with King Charles or Prince William following his exit from the Royal Family in 2020.
Prince Harry has been inspired by his mother Princess Diana’s desire for “peace” to try and patch things up with the Royal Family, according to his memoir Spare.
The Prince and his wife Meghan Markle stepped down as working royals in 2020 and relocated to California, however their subsequent tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey and Netflix documentary series have worsened the feud between the two families.
In January 2023 Harry published his memoir Spare, which came under much scrutiny for his no-holds barred revelations about life in the Royal Family.
While many of the claims made by the Duke about his family were incredibly damaging, in one passage he explains how his late mother made him want to strive for peace.
He recalled: “I’d come to those gardens because I wanted peace. I wanted it more than anything. I wanted it for my family’s sake, and for my own—but also for hers.”

Harry added that Diana, who was killed in a car accident in 1997, “strove for peace”, and that she was “always working to bring peace to someone somewhere”.
He added reflectively: “I knew how desperately she would want—no, did want— peace between her boys, and between us two and Pa.”
Former royal butler Paul Burrell, who worked for Diana for many years, said that the late Princess would have been “heartbroken” about the fallout between her two sons.

Mr Burrell said on behalf of Slingo: “I saw first-hand Diana raise William and Harry and it was always Harry’s duty and his job to be a wingman for his brother.
“He always knew that William would be King and Harry would be second in charge, but something happened, and that was Meghan.
“She changed his world and turned it upside down. Diana would not be happy with the way he has deserted his post.
“He has not only deserted his post, he has deserted his family and his country.”
Harry and William were once close but are now barely speaking
The former royal staffer added: “If she was still alive, none of this would be happening because she would still have her hands on the reins and she would still be steering her children.
“She would be proud of William but she would have a broken heart over Harry because she would be torn over the love for her son and the desertion of his duty.”
Prince Harry came to the UK last month to celebrate ten years of the Invictus Games at St Paul’s Cathedral, but did not meet with any senior members of the Royal Family during his visit.
