Tireless Princess Anne appears to be TAKING A SWIPE at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle when interviewed about ‘slimmed-down’ Royal Family…

In an interview with Adrienne Arsenault last year, Princess Anne conveyed her skepticism towards the proposal of a ‘slimmed-down’ monarchy, given her increased royal responsibilities.

Anne hinted that the suggestion for fewer working royals seemed more acceptable when there were “a few more people around to make that seem like a justifiable comment,” likely alluding to Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and possibly Prince Andrew’s circumstances.

The recent loss of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, along with the advancing age of other working royals like the Duke of Kent and Duke of Gloucester, has further complicated the matter. Anne shared her candid perspective on the notion of a more streamlined monarchy, remarking, “It doesn’t sound like a good idea from where I’m standing.” She acknowledged ongoing discussions about the relevance of the monarchy but emphasized its role in providing long-term stability.

A number of other working royals, such as the Duke of Kent and Duke of Gloucester, are quite elderly and having to take a step back.

The Princess, who gave her honest opinion on the King having a slimmed-down monarchy, said: “It changes a bit. I mean, it doesn’t sound like a good idea from where I’m standing, I have to say.

“I’m not quite sure what else, you know, we can do.”

“I think it’s perfectly true that it is a moment where you need to have that discussion. But I would just underline that the monarchy provides, with the constitution, a degree of long-term stability that is actually quite hard to come by any other way.”

Regarding her role in the family now that her older brother Charles is King, Anne highlighted the family’s commitment to supporting the monarchy’s continuity, service, and understanding of community needs. She underscored the importance of showcasing the positive contributions of communities, contrasting media portrayals.

Known for her tireless work ethic, Princess Anne consistently ranks among the Royal Family’s busiest members, undertaking numerous engagements each year.
