Stacey Solomon took to social media to share her son Rex’s new hair after he asked to have his long curly hair cut

Stacey Solomon took to social media to share her heartache after her youngest son asked to have his hair cut.

The reality star, 33, who is currently pregnant, broke down in tears upon revealing that her three-year-old son Rex wanted his long blonde curly hair snipped, so he could look more like his brother.

Stacey revealed Rex’s new look this evening on Instagram, after she took him on a trip to the hairdressers. The Loose Women star admitted she was left devastated by the trim.

She shared a picture of the youngster with his new hairdo, captioning it: “Rex’s Big Boy Haircut.

“Today we went for our usual barber trip with the boys but this time Rex asked for “A Zachy (big brother) Haircut” instead of his usual “Thor hair” request.

“Me & Joe may have shed a tear (crying laughing emoji) But we’ve always said it’s his hair, his choice.You look so handsome Rexy we love you so so much. Our big boy (crying emoji).”

Stacey then admitted that she had kept his curls, although she said she wasn’t sure what she would do with them.

She had previously opened up about Rex’s long hair, saying: “I never wanted to cut his hair. I’ve always struggled with first haircuts. I wait until they say ‘Mum I want a haircut’ so they’ve all had really long hair for ages.

“I feel like as soon as you cut their hair they are not babies anymore and look about 15.”

The reality star is due to have her fifth baby this month. Alongside Rex, she shares daughter Rose, one, with Joe Swash

Joe has a teenage son called Harry, while Stacey has son Zachary, 14, from her relationship with Dean Cox, and Leighton, 10, whose dad is Aaron Barham.

Stacey and Joe married in July last year, after getting engaged in 2020. The pair have been a couple since 2016 and are currently expecting their third child together.

On their pregnancy, Stacey said: “Coming soon… Much sooner than we thought When we found out we still wanted to have that first few months you usually would to adjust and get excited and enjoy it to ourselves, but that didn’t leave us with very long left.

“So this time next month, we will be getting ready to say hello to a whole new pickle. So grateful.”
