Prince Harry ‘won’t give up and is still determined to win back King Charles’ favour after UK trip’

Prince Harry had his heart set on patching things up with his father on his last trip to the UK – but he did not get to meet with King Charles. Now Insiders say the King’s youngest son is still determined to make amends – but it won’t be easy

Prince Harry is determined to win back his father’s favour after he did not get to see him on his last UK visit – but King Charles “just wants peace in his twilight years”, claims a source.

Insiders say King Charles will always have a place in his heart for Harry – but he doesn’t need the drama and wants to enjoy his twilight years peacefully. An inside source told the Mirror: “Harry’s made his bed. I’m an advocate for protecting your peace, and if this young man is bringing the drama, then good on King Charles for giving him the space he needs to grow. King Charles just wants to have his peace in his Twilight years. He doesn’t want to argue.”

The Mirror has been to Buckingham Palace and the Sussexes for comment. Harry has just returned to his home in California after his whistlestop visit to Nigeria with his wife Meghan Markle.

While there Meghan came over all emotional when she was presented a very special gift for Archie and Lilibet. She had earlier said how much she missed not being with her children for Mother’s Day so it was even more poignant.

During their high-profile visit to the African continent, we can reveal the Duchess of Sussex was left speechless by a gesture from young Grace Busari, 13. Meghan was overwhelmed when she was presented a pair of stunning hand-stitched teddy bears from 13-year-old Grace, daughter of CNN Nigeria Bureau chief and Senior Editor invited to join Meghan and Harry on their visit.

Meanwhile Queen Camilla has made a bold move as she put the Prince Harry drama firmly behind her – announcing her very own star-studded festival to raise money for charity this summer. The senior royal made the move during Harry’s trip to London where she revealed she was putting together a stunning literary festival – with her A-list pals including Helena Bonham Carter on the roster.

Queen Camilla has kept a dignified silence over the Sussexes’ after Harry made claims about her in his book Spare .In it, he made no secret of his feelings for his step-mum. The Duke of Sussex didn’t hold back as he opened up about life behind Palace walls in his debut memoir Spare.
