One special moment during the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle left him ‘blown away’, an expert has said, ending months of tensions over the big day

Prince Harry was left ‘blown away’ by Meghan Markle on their wedding day at one special moment, a body language expert has said.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex tied the knot six years ago on May 19, 2018, in a memorable service at St George’s Chapel on the Windsor Castle grounds. Millions watched around the world as the royal and his new American bride said their ‘I do’s’, confounding months of nervous build-up to the big day.

But it was one particular part of the royal wedding that seemed to leave a big impression on Harry and release any tension, according to body language analyst Darren Stanton.

Speaking to Betfair Live Casino, Darren said Harry seemed “nervous” while waiting for Meghan to arrive on their wedding day. But she on the other hand appeared “calm” and “confident”, with everything “falling into place” once she entered the church.

Describing the impact of her entrance on Harry, he said: “When Harry first saw Meghan on their wedding day, Harry was blown away. He couldn’t stop smiling and couldn’t stop looking her in the eyes. This shows how real their connection is. As soon as they locked eyes with each other, Harry’s body language relaxed. It shows how connected they are as a couple. It means that when they are together and can be themselves, but also feel comfortable when they have each other by their side.”

Speaking on how their relationship has developed since their wedding day, the expert also touched on how the couple have gone from strength to strength, and appear to have each other’s backs as husband and wife. He said: “When we look at Harry and Meghan as a couple, they are very compatible together. They balance out each other’s personalities perfectly. When they were having their photos taken after the ceremony, their gestures with one another showed how they had a passionate but very trusting relationship. They were tactile with each other, which speaks volumes about their trust levels as a couple. They know each other inside out and it comes across as completely natural.”

Much has happened for the couple since the wedding, including two children Archie, five, and Lilibet, two, as well as a dramatic exit from the Royal Family and attempts to begin a new media career in the US. And in a tell-all Oprah chat, Meghan claimed actually married Harry three days before their extravagant royal event. She said the Archbishop of Canterbury had carried out the wedding in their garden at Kensington Palace three days before the official date. Harry also said in the 2021 interview that the secret ceremony was attended by “just the three of us”.
