Loose Women viewers divided after Alexandra Burke’s Sister Act performance on ITV show

Alexandra Burke appeared on Loose Women as she opened up about being a hard-working mum-of-two – but some viewers were left unimpressed after her performance

Alexandra Burke graced the Loose Women set on Tuesday, July 2, opening up to the panel about juggling her career with motherhood.

The X-Factor sensation from 2008, now 35, is dazzling audiences in Sister Act The Musical at London’s Dominion Theatre, stepping into the shoes of Deloris Van Cartier, a role made famous by Whoopi Goldberg in the iconic 1992 film. Chatting with hosts Charlene White, Coleen Nolan, Brenda Edwards, and Janet Street-Porter, Alexandra, a proud mum, shared her zeal for the stage and revealed she was back to work just two months after each of her children were born.

She admitted that it can be “hard work at times” but quickly added that her drive to excel is all for her family. After her chat, the ‘Bad Boys’ hitmaker delivered a performance from Sister Act The Musical, reports the Express.

Donning her show costume, Alexandra belted out ‘Fabulous, Baby! with the support of two backup singers. However, the act received mixed reactions from the audience.

On X, previously known as Twitter, one viewer bluntly commented: “Cringe #loosewomen”, while another critiqued: “Possibly the worst rendition of that song Iv ever heard #LooseWomen.”

Another chimed in with “#LooseWomen Oh dear that was miming…”, and someone else questioned: “Are they miming? “.

One unimpressed fan remarked, “Hmm this performance isnt exactly blowing me away #LooseWomen”. “Ooo Alex.. That wasn’t fabulous. #LooseWomen”, another viewer expressed their disappointment.

However, other viewers were thrilled with Alexandra’s performance, with one fan tweeting: ” Fabulous! @alexandramusic #loosewomen”. Another viewer drew comparisons to a blockbuster film, commenting: “Very Whoopi Goldberg-esque ! ! #LooseWomen.”
