Loose Women star Penny Lancaster, who is married to singer Rod Stewart, volunteered as a Special Constable during the procession for King Charles and Queen Camilla’s Coronation
Loose Women’s Penny Lancaster looked completely different after taking on a volunteer role at King Charles III’s Coronation.
The 52-year-old, who is married to singer Rod Stewart, took on the role of Special Constable in order to help keep the streets safe on the “special day”.
Special Constables are volunteer police officers, with them having the same police powers, uniforms and equipment as normal officers.
In the snap, she smiled for the camera as King Charles and Queen Camilla rode by in the background in their carriage.
She rocked a police uniform as she kept the crowd safe.

“Reflecting on The Coronation of Their Majesties King Charles III & Queen Camilla,” she captioned the post.
“I was honoured to have been given the opportunity to serve during this very special day. A very proud moment, I’ll never forget.”
Penny added: “Thanks to some members of the public in the crowd that day, I have some wonderful images to cherish, thank you.”
Fans rushed to the comment section to praise the star for taking time out of her day to volunteer.
“You are so grounded & normal. Well done you & thank you for your dedication to service!!! Your proud face says it all….bless your heart,” one user said.
Another added: “Hat’s off to you Penny. I admire your dedication to keeping our nation safe. Thank you.”

“We were standing right in front of you. You’re such a sweet and kind lady. We had a wonderful time, thank you for your service,” one proud fan said.
Penny completed her training to become a special police constable for the City of London Police in April 2021. She was on duty for the Queen’s state funeral last September, at the barriers near Queen Victoria’s Memorial outside the Palace.
Her husband Rod previously discussed the King’s Coronation and explained why he wouldn’t perform.
The singer, who led a singalong of Sweet Caroline at the late Queen ‘s Platinum Jubilee concert outside Buckingham Palace last year, said: “No, I won’t be there.
“I think I have worn out my royal welcome. I think I will leave it to someone else. I will be in Las Vegas.
“But my wife will be on duty as a policewoman though.”
