Loose Women star begs co-star ‘stop’ as she’s quizzed about sex live on ITV show

Loose Women returned to our TV screens on Tuesday afternoon and presenter Katie Piper was left embarrassed as her co-stars quizzed the panellist of her sex life

Loose Women’s Katie Piper was left red-faced after her co-stars quizzed the panellist about her sex life. During Tuesday’s episode of the ITV hit daytime show, viewers and the live studio audience were joined by Ruth Langsford, Coleen Nolan, Linda Robson, and Katie as the panellists delved into a chat Dame Jilly Cooper’s steamy novel Rivals, which is hitting screens next month (October 18) as a Disney+ series.

The book was first published in 1988 and is part of the Rutshire Chronicles, a collection of 11 romantic novels set among the British upper-class is the second book in the series.

Ruth, who is a fan of the books, started off by saying: “Looking forward to that one very much. Oh I remember those books very well. We were discussing this morning and straight away it got me thinking, ‘Where did you learn about sex?'”

Katie wasn’t on board with the chat as she turned to her co-star and said: “Ruth you’re giving me the ick. I don’t want this chat at lunch time with my coffee.”

Ruth jumped in: “You’re a grown woman. We are allowed to talk about sex,” as Katie turned to the camera and remarked: “Hi mum.”

She continued: “We didn’t really talk about it at home. I learned about it in science class and I think my only memory would be getting slightly aroused by the catalogues and not just the men. It was the men and the women so that was something I had to explore.”

Linda asked: “Did you not have chats with your mum?” Visibly embarrassed, Katie shouted: “No! Stop probing me.” Ruth then said: “Obviously in school yes you had the biology but I’m talking about when the girls would get together. There was always one girl in my school who did it and we all asked ‘What was it like’”.

Katie joked: “Is this a confession?” Everyone burst out laughing as Linda said: “I bet it was you.” Ruth confirmed: “It was not me.”

Coleen admitted: “It was all trial and error for me. That’s how I learnt, trial and error.” The remark had everyone laughing as she added: “Mainly error.”

Ruth pointed out: “And you have a sister.” Coleen replied: “Yes I was very lucky that I had five older sisters because my mum was terrible when it comes to talking about things like that so I never went to my mum.”

She added: “I know she was an expert on it but she just didn’t want to talk about it. I’m lucky I had an older sister because if I was worried I could talk to them about it.”
