Joe Swash has shown off the damage to his vehicle after a lorry smashed into his car.

The former EastEnders star, 42, took to his Instagram stories on Saturday morning to show off the state of his car after the frightening collision. The short video clip posted to his stories saw the actor’s car pulled over on the motorway after being hit by Scania lorry.

The star panned the camera across the lorry and then onto the passenger side of his car which was all battered in after being hit by the truck. Alongside the video, Joe wrote: “I got hit by a lorry!!! Done the side of my car. F**k.”

Joe has been rehearsing for the Panto, and on Friday night, his wife Stacey Solomon took their kids to go see their dad perform on stage as he made his debut.

The former Mickey Miller actor has is starring in a special Beauty and the Beast pantomime at the Grove theatre in Bedfordshire. The actor is playing the role of Buttons in the stage production.

Speaking about his Panto role, Joe said: “I’ve never quite made it to Prince Charming level yet. I’m playing a character called Flip Flop. At Christmas, that’s the best character. My kids, they’re going to come down and they’re going to watch it. I’m going to make sure they all laugh.”

“The whole family will definitely be coming. We’re going to try and find it hard keeping them away from from the theatre. My mum, all of mine and Stacey’s lot, they were more excited about it than me.”

And on Friday night, former X Factor star Stacey, 35, brought the couple’s children down to see their dad perform.

Taking to her Instagram stories to share her excitement, Stacey told her followers that after a day of decorating Pickle Cottage in Christmas decorations, she was rushing out the door to make it on time to see Joe make his stage debut in the production.

The mum-of-five gushed that the kids were beyond excited to see Joe in action as Buttons, and that the family were ‘so proud’ of him. Joe’s car accident came just hours after his family travelled to the Grove Theatre to see him perform.

It comes after Stacey allegedly broke down in tears after what looked like a row with her husband, Joe in the street last month.

According to an onlooker, Joe exited a building alone and “stormed off down the street” while vaping. Joe, who was wearing a long puffer coat, was then taken to one side while someone else went to check on Joe, it has been claimed.
