Huge tattoo collection of legend Man Utd, David Beckham

DAVID Beckham has always known how to express himself on and off the pitch, from his trademark celebrations to his extensive collection of tattoos.

The iconic former footballer unveiled his latest inking on his left temple but where does this one rank amid his most famous tattoos and what do they mean?

He has had the planets inked on to his left temple.

The design was clearly visible under his shorter haircut on a trip to Macau.

But the meaning of this new tattoo is not known.

David Beckham’s other tattoos: Where are they and what do they mean?

David Beckham’s neck tattoos

One of Beckham’s most famous tattoos is on his neck; a gothic style cross and wings.

It is symbolic of David’s religion and acts as a protective guardian of his son Romeo, whose name is tattooed just below the angel-wings.

David, 43, also has the name of his daughter, Harper, on the side of his neck, which he updated to include the words Pretty Lady on her fourth birthday.

Beckham has a vertical tattoo down his left side in Chinese symbols, which translates as “Death and life have determined appointments”.

He has a tribute to his father under his right armpit, which shows a ship at full mast – an identical piece to which his father has also had tattooed.

David Beckham’s back tattoos

His back served as the star’s first piece of body art in 1999 to commemorate the birth of his first son Brooklyn, whose name he had inked in gothic print on his lower back.

David soon followed that up with a guardian angel between his shoulder blades and he then inked the name of his youngest son, Cruz above it.

Becks has two sleeve tattoos on both his arms with the centrepieces baring particular significance to his marriage to Victoria.

The most famous of David’s tributes comes in the shape of his wife’s name along the inside of his forearm, which he had inked in Sanskrit.

The pair both have Hebrew tattoos, which they got to celebrate their sixth wedding anniversary that translate as I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine.

He also has a separate rose inking on his left arm to mark the couple’s tenth anniversary.

This is joined by the words Lead with love and the numbers 723, a combination of the shirts he famously wore for Manchester United and later Real Madrid.

On his little finger, he has the year he was married adjacent to a small female-stick figure designed by his daughter Harper.
