Carol McGiffin fumes that Prince Harry ‘needs to stop acting like a perpetual victim’

Prince Harry will appear in two new interviews over the weekend in which he’s set to mention his family, with the situation having been a topic of discussion on ITV’s Loose Women this afternoon

Carol McGiffin has said Prince Harry needs to stop “acting like a perpetual victim,” while discussing his upcoming TV interviews on the latest episode of Loose Women.

It comes ahead of two new interviews with Prince Harry, 38, airing over the weekend. He will appear both on ITV in the UK and CBS in America on Sunday, ahead of his memoir Spare being released next week.

Teaser clips have been released in advance showing the youngest son of King Charles III, 74, saying that he wants to reconcile with his family.

The news prompted discussion on Loose Women – with Brenda Edwards speculating that Prince Harry may want “acknowledgement” from his family.

She suggested that he might be seeking acknowledgement from them over the way that he and his wife Meghan Markle, 41, have been treated.

Her co-star Carol, 62, however disagreed. She said: “The problem is his. He’s the one with the problem [and] who keeps going on about. [And] he doesn’t say what he wants.”

Carol said Prince Harry “acknowledges himself that the Royal Family ‘never complain, never explain'”.

She continued: “They know full well that even if [the Royal Family] did think they were in the wrong and gave them an apology or acknowledgement, Harry and Meghan would make it public so it’s not going to happen.”

Carol further commented that it’s a “one-sided story,” adding: “We only hear what [him and Meghan] want to say. The Royal Family are never going to say anything”.

Loose Women airs weekdays on ITV and ITV Hub from 12.30pm.
