Patrick Mahomes is ready to contest another Super Bowl with the Kansas City Chiefs and continue his incredible NFL career, despite not being one of the senior players of the sport. He has smashed various records and now he has his eyes on one of Peyton Manning‘s.

Mahomes is the quarterback for the Chiefs and they made it into the Super Bowl by beating the Baltimore Ravens. They are set to face the San Francisco 49ers, who put an end to the fairytale story of the Detroit Lions.

Mahomes is no stranger to winning playoff games, and he is now just one playoff game win away from passing Peyton Manning‘s record.

What makes that even more impressive is that he has played ten fewer playoff games than Manning did during his illustrious career, and he has got many games left to play before his career is over.

What has Manning said about Mahomes?

There were comments from Manning earlier in the season about Mahomes which showed that he has got a lot of time for the Chiefs quarterback.

On week 14 of the NFL season, the Chiefs were beaten by the Buffalo Bills and Mahomes looks particularly angry and animated during that match.

He admitted that he was not pleased with his actions, saying: “I was still hot and emotional, but you can’t do that, man.”

Manning actually came out in support of Mahomes and said about the game: “The receivers, they’ve had a case of the drops. I think Patrick Mahomes has been incredibly patient. You sort of saw some of the frustrations boil over… I think they should change that rule, that if they’re going to call that just blow the play dead so we don’t see what would have happened.”
