Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce held a press conference on Friday ahead of the team’s sixth consecutive AFC Conference Championship appearance and addressed media rumors that Taylor Swift has distracted him throughout the 2023 NFL season.
Kelce, 34, stated that he and Swift, also 34, will be drowning out the outside noise because they’re happy, and that’s all that matters. The two-time Super Bowl champion then went on to address the media.

“You hear the media throughout the year if we’re not having success,” Kelce said. “Maybe throw it out there that I wasn’t focused or that the team isn’t focused on certain things, and if you’re in this building, you know exactly what’s going on.
“So, you gotta compartmentalize what you’re hearing and make sure that you’re staying on task, and giving everybody in the building and on that team the right perception.”

Kelce also addressed how dating Swift just added to his newfound fame from last year when he faced brother Jason‘s Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl during the debut season of their successful “New Heights” podcast.
“I brought this upon myself, and I do enjoy having fun with it all, and the biggest thing is making sure my focus is right here in this building,” Kelce said.
Kelce and the Chiefs visit the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday at M&T Bank Stadium and are once again underdogs.
