The Warriors beat the LA Lakers

In a highly anticipated matchup on Thursday evening, the Golden State Warriors, led by superstar Steph Curry, faced the Los Angeles Lakers at home in San Francisco. Curry showcased his unparalleled shooting prowess early on, tallying 16 points and two assists in the first quarter alone, shooting an impressive 6/8 from the field and 4/5 from beyond the arc.

However, it was his jaw-dropping assist to Andrew Wiggins that stole the spotlight, quickly becoming viral on social media.

Receiving a pass from Draymond Green, Curry swiftly and instinctively passed the ball to Wiggins, who capped off the play with a thunderous two-handed dunk. Despite being considered as the greatest shooter of all time, Curry’s playmaking abilities are equally remarkable, consistently delivering flashy assists on a nightly basis.

“Things LeBron thinks he can do,” a fan wrote on X.

Another added: “The awareness of his teammates movement to drop that assist without having to hold the ball a second long. Curry is the Messi of the NBA.”

The two-time MVP entered the game with impressive season averages of 28.0 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game, solidifying his status as one of the league’s top players even at 35 years old.

Improving their record

In a successful outing for the Warriors, they secured a convincing 128-110 victory over the Lakers, with Curry finishing the game with 32 points, eight assists, one rebound, and three steals.

It should be noted that the Los Angeles Lakers played without LeBron James due to a left ankle injury.

Despite a rollercoaster season, marked by ups and downs in performance, the Warriors currently hold the tenth seed in the Western Conference standings, positioning them for a potential play-in tournament spot with a record of 27-26 after bouncing back with an impressive 8-2 record in their last ten games.
