The Waleses may have wished Prince Harry a happy 40th birthday but Prince William has no plans for any reconciliation, according to an insider.

The Prince of Wales has “no interest” in beginning a “complicated reconciliation process” with his estranged brother, the Duke of Sussex, despite his birthday message to him on Sunday, an insider has claimed.
The two feuding brothers saw their relationship crumble following Prince Harry’s sensational exit from the Royal Family and move to the US in 2020.
Harry has made a series of explosive claims against his brother and their family through a string of interviews, including his and Meghan Markle’s Netflix show, Harry & Meghan, and his own bombshell memoir, Spare.
But following Buckingham Palace and Kensington Palace’s online messages on the duke’s milestone birthday last Sunday, some royal watchers questioned whether the moves paved the way for peace talks between the two sides.
Kensington Palace’s message on social media site X read: “Wishing a Happy 40th Birthday to The Duke of Sussex!”

It included a tweet made earlier by Buckingham Palace which included a photograph of a smiling Harry and a caption: “Wishing the Duke of Sussex a very happy 40th birthday today!”
However, a friend close to the Prince and Princess of Wales has come out and claimed that the heir to the throne still regards Harry’s claims as “unforgivable” and reaching out to him is not his top “priority”.
They told the Daily Beast: “The honest truth is that William has no interest right now in reaching out to Harry and Meghan.
“He regards what Harry said in his book as unforgivable and, understandably given Catherine’s cancer diagnosis, just wants to focus on his wife and family first and his job second.

“There isn’t space for a complicated reconciliation process with Harry. It’s not a priority.”
A palace insider suggested that because Kensington Palace’s message had not been initialled “W & C” meant that it had not been sent personally by the couple.
They said: “It was just a company thing. Happy birthday blah blah blah.”
The outlet reports that while it has not been confirmed whether the King contacted his son on his birthday, it is understood the Waleses did not reach out.
