Place where Princess Kate will take George, Louis and Charlotte on holiday revealed

Princess Kate’s plans for the summer have been revealed as she looks to prioritise quality family time

Princess Kate will be taking her three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis to Balmoral for a summer break with the rest of the Royal Family, it has been confirmed.

First exclusively revealed by the Daily Express last month, it was later followed up in the Mail on Sunday that she and Prince William will be keeping up their annual tradition of getting away to Scotland in August.

There had been questions raised over whether Kate would be well enough to make the journey to the royal Scottish estate but a source revealed that their arrival is likely to be in mid-August.

King Charles is spending the beginning of the month at Castle Mey, where he attended the Mey Highland Games this weekend, but he will stay at his own home Birkhall on the estate when the rest of the family join him at Balmoral.

The source told Express.co.uk: “William and Kate will be joining the Royal Family at Balmoral. It will be a rather low key affair this year where everyone will meet to just relax and unwind.”

Princess Anne and her husband Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence are thought to also be on the guest list, as are Zara and Mike Tindall and their children Mia, Lena and Lucas.

When Kate makes the journey to the Scottish Highlands it will be the furthest she has travelled since she started treatment for cancer earlier this year.

While undergoing preventative chemotherapy, the Princess has generally split her time between Adelaide Cottage in Windsor and the family’s Norfolk property, Anmer Hall.

The Royal Family like to take time off from their duties in August and spend time relaxing at Balmoral, with outdoor pastimes such as fishing and long walks in the grounds on the agenda.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will not be travelling to Scotland however, as the source added: “Harry and Meghan will not be joining the rest of the Royal Family in August.

“The King is keen for it to be a happy family occasion which will see members of the Royal Family come together for just over a week to discuss plans for the future and to unwind.

“The Sussexes will not be part of that meeting but may join the King at a later date when the Queen and the rest of the Royal Family have left.”

On the bank holiday weekend King Charles will be attending a special Sunday service at Crathie Kirk, the church close to the Balmoral estate.

However this may cause a diary clash for the Tindalls, as Zara has submitted an application to compete at the Wellington International Horse Trials in Hampshire on that weekend.

“NO PARENT SHOULD EVER HAVE TO LIVE THIS.”  Jesy Nelson brought Westminster to a standstill — and left Health Secretary Wes Streeting visibly fighting back tears — as she broke down while begging for urgent change to SMA Type 1 testing. Her voice cracked. Her hands trembled. And then the room fell silent as Jesy sobbed: “I look at my children and think… why wasn’t this caught sooner?” Witnesses say even hardened officials struggled to keep composure as she spoke of fear-filled nights, unanswered questions, and the unbearable weight of watching parents learn devastating news too late. Wes Streeting was seen blinking back tears as Jesy pleaded: “Early testing saves lives. It saves families. No parent should ever, ever have to go through this pain.” The moment cut far deeper than politics — raw, unfiltered grief colliding with power, in a confrontation Britain wasn’t ready for. Support flooded in within minutes, with parents calling her words “heart-shattering” and campaigners saying this could be the speech that finally forces change. One thing is clear: this wasn’t a celebrity appearance. It was a mother’s cry — and it left scars on everyone who heard it. SS
