Kanye’s beef with Drake goes back years and has long since evolved past who has the better bars to something much more personal

KANYE West has insisted he’s the greatest rapper of all time while taking aim at Drake in a since-deleted social media tirade.

The Instagram outburst came after suspected issues between the Grammy Award-winning artist and his architectural designer wife, Bianca Censori, 29.

In the message, Kanye, 46, asserted his hip-hop dominance by calling out both Kendrick Lamar, 36, and Drake, 37, – who currently have enthralled in a separate beef since the release of the former’s verse on the Future and Metro Boomin single, Like That.

The Yeezy founder claimed, “Everyone knows I washed Kendrick on no more parties in LA.”

Ye then turned his attention to the First Person Shooter rapper as he stated, “Everyone knows I washed Drake at the Free Hoover Concert.”

The Vultures 1 artist was referencing the 2021 Drake and Kanye co-headlined Free Larry Hoover Benefit Concert that supposedly signified the end of the two rappers’ long-running beef.

Kanye touched on his successful collaboration with the shoe brand Adidas and their cutting ties with the rapper after he made antisemitic remarks.

He wrote, “Everyone knows I brought Adidas into this culture and took them out.”

The Carnival rapper called out significant figures in the fashion world, including his ex-wife Kim Kardashian, 43, Balenciaga creative direction Demna, and deceased Off-White creator Virgil Abloh as he asserted, “Everyone knows Lotta, Demna, Virgil, Jerry, [and] Kim all worked for me.”

He returned to speaking about music as he listed his impressive discography, including My Twisted Dark Fantasy, The Life of Pablo, Graduation, and Watch the Thrones – along with several albums and singles.

Kanye boldly claimed, “I am the only person to come back number one after cancellation,” before stating, “There is only one GOAT.”

“I stand by me,” he added.

He then signed off, “My friends call me Ye:).”

Ye’s powerful declaration seemed to be brought on by Kendrick’s call out of Drake and J. Cole when he rapped, “Mother f**k the Big Three, it’s just Big Me,” a callback to Cole’s verse in the First Person Shooter.

KIM Kardashian was spotted hugging and laughing with Kanye West on Friday night-
The Middle Child rapper called himself, Drake, and Kendrick the current GOATs of the rap game.

Kanye appeared to have taken exception from being left off the list of greats.

IT’S WHAT’S FOR DINNER…

Kanye’s beef with Drake goes much deeper than his current turf war with the other two hip-hop heavyweights.

On June 29, 2018, Drake released his fifth studio album, Scorpion.

The project included the Billboard Hot 100 hit single In My Feelings in which the For All the Dogs artist rapped about a love interest named Kiki.

Listeners thought “Kiki” was a thinly-veiled reference to Kanye’s then-wife Kim Kardashian.

Kiki is Kim’s family nickname.

Despite Kiki’s real identity as Drake’s former love interest K’yanna Barber and not Kim, Kanye disclosed that he did not appreciate the Certified Lover Boy rapper perpetuating rumors about Kim.

Not long after, on Thursday, September 20, Kanye took to social media to discuss the rumors about a supposed hookup between his then-wife and Drake.

The Chicago-born rapper said, “The fact that people are making rumors and thinking that you f***ed my wife and you’re not saying anything, and you’re carrying it on like that… don’t sit well with my spirit.”

“Y’all be promoting that negativity; you think that’s cool for social media.

“If you get in an interview, don’t mention my wife. Don’t be making no suggestions like somebody f***ed my wife.”

Around the same time, it was revealed that Kanye was the one who spilled information about Drake’s personal life – the fact that he had a son fans didn’t know about – to fellow rapper Pusha T.

In Pusha’s diss track The Story of Adidon, Kanye’s labelmate aimed at Drake and even went as far as to mention Adonis.

The lyrics exposed that Drake had a then-secret son which only exacerbated the feud between himself and Kanye and Pusha.

Fast forward to August and September 2021.

In August and September 2021, Kanye and Drake sparked more controversy as the two musicians traded lyrical jabs with each other on the former’s album DONDA and the latter’s record Certified Lover Boy.

BEST BROS… FOR A TIME

On November 16, 2021, it appeared as if the feuding performers had put their beef to rest when they posted clips and photos of each other to their respective Instagram stories.

The pair were photographed alongside mutual friend and record executive J Prince as they captioned their posts with dove emojis.

The occasion happened to be a party at Drake’s residence in Toronto.

While in The 6, Kanye and J Prince attended a comedy show by Dave Chappelle.

As they hung out, Dave said during his set, “Make some noise for Kanye and Drake… and make some noise for our reconciliation!”

After they made peace in Toronto, things between the two frenemies appeared to be mended until Drake made another dig at Kanye on the Drake and 21 Savage joint album Her Loss.

On the track, Circo Loco, Drake rapped, “Linking with the opps, b***h, I did that s**t for J Prince….B***h, I did it for the mob ties.”

The Yeezy designer seemed to have enough as he responded to the lyrics on Twitter and commented, “Enough already I done gave this man his flowers multiple times.

He continued, “Let’s see who are real ops are in this music game. Imagine all the rappers on the same side and everyone cleaning up each other’s contracts. It’s kingdom time. Love Drake.”
