Brooklyn Beckham has posted a sweet tribute to his sister Harper Beckham to mark her 14th birthday today – amid his ongoing feud with his parents David and Victoria. The oldest of Posh and Becks’ brood took to Instagram to share the touching message after speculation was rife on whether he would publicly post.

The 26-year-old shared a snap of himself and wife Nicola Peltz alongside his sister on his Instagram Stories. In the image, Brooklyn was seen wearing a tuxedo, while Nicola had a white sleeveless shirt and bowtie.

Harper flashed a smile in between the pair in a pale pink dress. Brooklyn wrote on the upload: “Happy birthday harper we love u x,” and tagged his wife. The actress, 30, reshared the post on her own Story.

Brooklyn was 12 when his youngest sibling was born. The pair have been very close over the years, but there was said to be tension from those close to the family who were worried he wouldn’t reach out at all amid a family feud.

Sources shared their fears after both Brooklyn and Nicola failed to see Harper when they visited London in May to film an advert. The location for the shoot was just over a mile from the family home.

One source said: “Brooklyn and Harper used to be inseparable. He adored her, he hopefully still does, but the problem is that Brooklyn has a track record for ignoring family birthdays now.

“It would be devastating for Harper not to hear from him. She hasn’t done anything and she’s only 13-years-old, she is the innocent party here.”

The worry came after Brooklyn had snubbed a number of other family milestones of late. After failing to attend any of dad David’s 50th celebrations, he also publicly blanked the former footballer’s proud moment as it was announced he was being knighted.

However, they can now breathe a sigh of relief that Brooklyn has acknowledged his sister on her special day. He follows posts from mum Victoria and brother Romeo earlier in the day.

Alongside a montage of throwback images and videos Spice Girls star Victoria wrote on Instagram: “Happy birthday to my world!! You are my everything and I’m so proud of the strong, confident, kind and talented young lady you are becoming.

Gogglebox favourite Lee Riley has thrilled fans by sharing a rare glimpse of his best friend Jenny Newby’s husband Ray, leaving viewers delighted to finally “put a face to the name”.

Lee, 57, took to Instagram this week to post a series of sunny snaps from a recent trip to Northern Cyprus, where he enjoyed a get-together with his long-time sidekick Jenny, 69, and her elusive other half.

He captioned the post: “What a fabulous catch up with my beautiful side kick Jenny and husband Ray at home in Northern Cyprus.” Lee shared a photo of him and Ray cheesing at a bar with Ray’s arm around his shoulders, a selfie of him and Jenny, and a photo of the three of them making silly faces beside the pool.

The snaps mark a rare public appearance for Ray, who has chosen to stay firmly off-screen during his wife’s decade-long run on Gogglebox.

While fans have come to know and love Jenny and Lee’s on-screen antics — from Jenny’s investigation in her H notebook during Line of Duty to Lee’s infamous mix-up eating her face cream — little has been seen of their personal lives away from the Channel 4 cameras.

Jenny and Lee are both from Hull and have been friends for over 31 years, since they met in 1994 when Jenny was the landlady of The Crown Inn pub in Paull and Lee was a regular customer.

Jenny previously spoke about the way they met to Ireland’s Big Issue magazine, saying: “Lee was a customer at my pub, The Crown Inn in Paull. He became a regular in 1994 and used to come in pretty much every night with his partner and we were friends from the off. We’ve been best friends ever since.”

Lee responded to that, joking: “I wish I’d never gone in the pub – it cost me a fortune. When I first met her, she had a perm and I can remember thinking, ‘She needs a haircut.’ We were firm friends immediately. I don’t think we’ve ever had an argument. We’re too placid to argue. She makes me laugh too much for me to ever fall out with her.”

Emmerdale aired some big scenes with Joe Tate and Dr Crowley this evening as the surgeon exacted his revenge. At the end of the last episode, Joe was hit over the head with a shovel.

At the start of the episode, Joe found himself on an operating table – with Dr Crowley looming over him. Dawn was worried that she hadn’t heard from Joe and she expressed her fears to Kim, who was desperate to get a first date with her new man Eddie.

Back on the operating table, Joe was blackmailed by Crowley for money – who told him he would remove his kidney if he didn’t give him the money he needed. He warned Joe he needed to hand over the bank details and log ins or he’d be dead.

As Joe was asked about his passwords, he then revealed to Crowley that his password was ‘dawn97’, with fans left laughing over the obvious password choice. One shared: “not me thinking it’s be funny if joe’s bank password would be smth to do with dawn and turns out it actually is “dawn97”, hes so down bad for her im crying theyre so cute #emmerdale.”

Speaking about the big scenes, Ned said of his co-star who plays Dr Crowley: “James Hillier is a really nice guy and I enjoy working with him,” he said, “The character that he built is fun and has more dimensions than just a helper. I think it’s cool. He serves as a very interesting character going forward.”

Elsewhere, fans have been growing suspicious about Eddie and his real intentions, especially with the arrival of new character Celia, who is the farm owner living next to Moira and Cain.

Gregg Wallace has sparked more controversy with comments blaming his autism for his alleged inappropriate behaviour on MasterChef

Gregg Wallace has faced a backlash after linking claims of misconduct to his recent autism diagnosis. The former MasterChef presenter apologised for his inappropriate humour and language in a social media post.

He went on to mention his recent autism diagnosis, saying it was “suspected and discussed by colleagues across countless seasons of MasterChef”. Wallace, 50, continued: “Yet nothing was done to investigate my disability or protect me from what I now realise was a dangerous environment for over 20 years. That failure is now being quietly buried.” His comments have been met by anger from charities, experts and people with autism.

Oxford University research psychologist Dr Lucy Foulkes said sexually inappropriate comments were not a symptom of autism, and that his comments give autistic people a bad name. She explained: “Difficulties and differences in social interactions and communication are a key feature of autism.

“But it’s things like having difficulties with the typical ‘turn-taking’ of conversation, or not feeling comfortable making neurotypical amounts of eye contact, or having difficulties deciphering hidden and implied meaning from people’s explicit words. Nothing about autism or any neurodivergence explains why a man would make sexually inappropriate comments.”

Jessie Hewitson, Director of NeuroUniverse, made a similar point. She said people with autism “have been stereotyped since the dawn of time” and that such remarks risk sending the false message that they cannot take personal responsibility.

Earlier this week it was revealed Gregg, who’d presented MasterChef for 20 years, had been sacked from the cooking show. It came ahead of a report into his alleged behaviour, which is due out any day. An investigation by BBC News last year reported that 13 people had alleged that Wallace had made inappropriate sexual comments across a number of shows over 17 years. A further 50 more people came forward and made further complaints since, including allegations of touching and groping. Gregg, 60, denies any wrongdoing.

He posted a lengthy on Instagram on Tuesday, in which he claimed the upcoming report cleared him of “the most serious and sensational allegations” made against him.

“I recognise that some of my humour and language, at times, was inappropriate. For that, I apologise without reservation. But I was never the caricature now being sold for clicks,” he wrote. “I was hired by the BBC and MasterChef as the cheeky greengrocer. A real person with warmth, character, rough edges and all.”

He went on to reference his recent autism diagnosis – saying it was “suspected and discussed by colleagues across countless seasons of MasterChef.” “Yet nothing was done to investigate my disability or protect me from what I now realise was a dangerous environment for over twenty years,” he wrote.

In one report this week, a source close to Gregg claimed he couldn’t wear underwear because of his sensory issues. He has been accused of pushing MasterChef crew member on to a sofa and pulling down his trousers, while another claimed he once appeared “completely naked except for a sock pulled over his penis”.

Corrie viewers saw Dee-Dee Bailey quietly go through with christening her daughter Laila on tonight’s episode and the event marked the return of Adam Barlow after his absence

Viewers were thrilled by a character’s return on Coronation Street tonight after having not been seen for some time. The resident ended their absence by making an appearance at a special occasion in Weatherfield.

The latest episode of the ITV show saw Dee-Dee Bailey (played by Channique Sterling-Brown) quietly christen her daughter Laila away her family. She organised the event behind the back of her brother James Bailey (Jason Callender), who’s in the process of adopting his newborn niece. Fans saw Dee-Dee and other attendees gather at the Viaduct Bistro following the ceremony to celebrate the occasion. Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) and Alya Nazir (Sair Khan), who are Laila’s godparents, were with her, alongside vicar Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank), who led the service.

It marked Adam’s on-screen return after fans had noticed that he’s been absent for months. The character is said to have last appeared in March prior to tonight’s episode, though there was no mention of where he’s been in the scenes.

One fan wrote on X in May: “Where’s Adam Barlow May I ask? Last seen onscreen 7th March 2025. Somebody do something.” Another said: “I’ve just realised something about #Corrie. Where the hell has Adam Barlow disappeared to?”

Questions over the character’s whereabouts have continued more recently. Last month, someone asked: “Where’s Adam these days? And Ken??”

Addressing his return this week, one fan asked this evening: “Bloody hell. Where has Adam been?” Another said: “OMG ADAM BARLOW RETURNS!” A third wrote: “Adam finally comes back and ruins lives. Welcome back, sweetheart. Nice new ‘do as well”

Someone else reacted: “Adam! Welcome back. We haven’t seen you since March. Hopefully you’ll have a story now.” Another viewer said: “Adam Barlow! Welcome back, hun. Can they make Adam and Alya interesting now please?”

Adam made his presence known in tonight’s episode though as he inadvertently prompted a confrontation between Dee-Dee and James. It came after he had asked Dee-Dee why her brother hadn’t joined them to celebrate, with her making excuses.

James later turned up at the bar and questioned his sister on her decision to christen Laila after he had previously dismissed the idea. Asked how he found out, James revealed that he had received a text from Adam about the gathering.

He shared the message, which read: “The christening was great. I know you’re not into God mate but come and toast your daughter.” Adam said: “Now I’m thinking it wasn’t the best idea.” He however said he was “trying to do a nice thing”.

Dee-Dee explained: “You know how much I wanted this for her. I tried to talk to you, James.” She added: “I asked you and you said ‘no chance’.” He responded: “So you went and did it anyway?” Dee-Dee said: “I’m sorry but you had no respect for my wishes.”

Alya and Adam went to get some treats so the siblings could talk the situation through. Later, Dee-Dee apologised for lying James but said that she was doing what she believed to be right. He questioned if he can trust her now though.

Coronation Street continues tomorrow from 8pm on ITV, ITVX, STV and STV Player.

The BBC has told Gregg Wallace that they don’t believe he’ll change his behaviour in a scathing letter from compliance boss Claire Powell that has been shared with The Mirror

Gregg Wallace struggles to grasp the difference between appropriate and inappropriate behaviour in the workplace, BBC bosses claim. And in a letter sacking him from his MasterChef job, the corporation insisted he is unlikely to change amid accusations that include groping, flashing and making sexual comments that go back years.

While the 60-year-old has admitted using inappropriate language at times, he denies the more serious allegations and has now hired an “aggressive” lawyer who may challenge his axing. In the letter from the BBC to Wallace, extracts of which have been seen by the Mirror, compliance boss Claire Powell refers to the findings of a law firm’s probe into his behaviour – which are yet to be released.

She said: “I do not have the confidence that you can change what seems to be learned behaviour for you to make what you perceive to be jokes in the work -environment, without understanding the boundaries of what is appropriate.

“You acknowledge some of your comments have offended or upset people. But it is clear that you struggle to distinguish the boundaries between appropriate and inappropriate -behaviour in the workplace, as well as lacking an awareness of why your behaviour impacts others.

“I do not have confidence that your behaviour can change.”

A source close to Wallace said the TV chef claims the letter is unfair. But show producers Banijay are understood to be in no doubt about the next steps that need to be taken after the report by law firm Lewis Silkin.

The insider said the letter refers to Wallace’s autism and appears to accept his condition. The source said: “He’s been formally diagnosed with autism, a recognised disability, but the BBC seems to be saying it can’t cope with a disabled person. It sounds a lot like discrimination to us.”

Wallace is now understood to have hired Dan Morrison, one of the UK’s top litigation lawyers who has worked with Nigel Farage and footballer John Terry.

His firm’s profile page states: “Dan has recovered billions of pounds for his clients over 25 years of legal practice. He is known for his aggressive approach to litigation and his ability to negotiate favourable settlements for his clients.”

Wallace is expected to try to sue the BBC, although it is not yet clear if this will be for unfair dismissal, or something else.

He was warned by the BBC after a complaint was raised about him in 2018 on the show Impossible Celebrities. He apologised and was offered counselling.

Wallace was told in a meeting to change his behaviour and had coaching the following year. There were also complaints about him that same year on MasterChef. He was given a dressing down by Kate Phillips, who was then controller of entertainment and is now the BBC’s chief content officer.

She reportedly told Wallace his behaviour had been -“unacceptable and cannot continue”. BBC News has claimed that 50 more people have made claims about him.

Banijay last night declined to comment. The BBC also said it would not comment beyond the statement issued on Tuesday, which stated: “Banijay UK instructed the law firm Lewis Silkin to run an investigation into allegations against Gregg Wallace.

“We are not going to comment until the investigation is complete and the findings are published.”

Wallace insisted earlier this week: “I will not go quietly. I will not be cancelled for convenience.”

JoJo and Chris’ romance – and her baby plans

JoJo and Chris appeared on Celebrity Big Brother together, and there was a lot of speculation regarding their relationship status.

When they were in the house, they were very cosy, but JoJo was in a relationship with Kath Ebbs. However, the pair broke-up at the after-party.

JoJo and Chris then started spending a lot of time together, and they have now become more than friends – despite the 10-year age difference.

She even recently teased baby her plans.

In a recent interview with Capital Buzz, JoJo opened up about the baby names she has chosen for when she has kids. The pop star previously revealed that ‘Freddie, Eddie and Teddy’ were her dream baby names. She even has the two names tattooed on her arm.

However, when asked if they are still the monikers she’s picked for her children, she replied: “Absolutely not. Got a new name for children, and I think it’s Silver, Silver Siwa.”

The King has heard stories of traumatic rescues along the English coastline during a trip to Kent today, before stopping to help clear away rubbish from the beach

King Charles heard how RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution) crew on the South Coast made a “traumatic” rescue to save the lives of migrants crossing the channel.

It comes as President Macron and Sir Keir Starmer held a summit to discuss how to tackle migrant crossings from France to the UK shores after the French State Visit earlier this week.

During an away day to Deal in Kent, Charles visited the Walmer lifeboat station where he met Andrew Holland, Victoria Ward, Dan Sinclair and James Foster. The four were awarded with the Thanks of the Institution award by the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.

Sinclair told the King: “Myself and three crew members saved five lives from a sinking boat in the channel ten miles off shore on a cold winter’s morning in 2022. It was quite a traumatic call-out. The boat started taking on water and started sinking in front of our eyes.

“There were 40 on board. Luckily we pulled five of them out of the water, the other 35 were pulled out by UK border force.”

When the King asked about the vessel they were travelling in, Sinclair said: “It was in a small dinghy.” Charles appeared to suggest that they were not particularly hardy to which Sinclair replied: “They’re not very seaworthy, no.” The rescue was previously featured on the BBC series Saving Lives at Sea.

Afterwards, Charles, 76, headed to the pebble beach in Deal, greeting lifeboat staff and receiving a cheer as the national anthem played.

In an impromptu walkabout, he asked the crowd “have you all been standing here boiling for hours?”

Speaking to staff as they simulated a “shout” alert, he told them they were “incredible” before joining a litter pick on the beach.

The King told RAF cadets who had joined the clean up: “Do you all do it regularly or have they just dragged you out today?” He was told: “We’d like to do it more regularly.”

In a long walkabout along the sea front he met members of the public including a bare chested man who admitted to the King: “I’ve come a little under-dressed.”

Charles asked the crowd who had been waiting for hours in the heat: “You haven’t all died of sunstroke have you?”

Earlier, the King, wearing the pin badge of the cinque ports, arrived at Walmer Castle by helicopter and was introduced to Lady Colgrain, Lord Lieutenant of Kent, and the castle’s current Lord Warden, Sir George Zambellas, former First Sea Lord and Chief of the Naval Staff.

Dr Kathryn Bedford, English Heritage’s curator in the east and southeast, gave the King a tour of the castle, which was built as a device port by Henry VIII between 1539-40 to protect English from possible invasion by Catholic Europe.

At the state banquet with President Macron on Tuesday, Charles used his speech to say that “no fortress can protect us” as the challenges facing countries today “know no borders”.

Amid conversations between Macron and Sir Keir Starmer about the issue of migrants crossing the channel, Sir George said that the “pressure on coastal towns on the south coast” was a “universal issue”.

Former Lord Wardens of the castle include George V, Winston Churchill and the Queen Mother who held the position from 1978 until her death in 2002.

During her time as warden, Queen Elizabeth had living accommodation inside the castle where she spent weekends holding events. Today, the castle is undergoing a multi-million-pound restoration project to restore the roof.

When asked how conservation work was going, Neil McCollum, regional lead for English Heritage, told the King it was “endless, there’s always something that needs doing”.

Charles also spent time talking to mayors of the different port towns.

In the Queen Mother garden at Walmer Castle in Kent, designed for Queen Elizabeth’s 95th birthday, the King met mayors of the 14 coastal cinque ports. He said: “I remember as a child going on the Romney, Hythe and Dimchurch Railway.”

When he was told it was still running Charles said “Hurray!” He went on to say that he recalled “standing on the bridge watching the golden arrow [another railway line] passing underneath in the olden days, in the 50s.”

When he was passed a bunch of Dahlias by a representative of Hythe which caused Charles to remark that it reminded him of “Barry Humphries and his Gladdies”, referring to the late Australian comedian’s jokes about dahlias.

In a meeting with primary school-age children who are carers, the King was asked what his favourite dogs and flowers were, revealing they were Jack Russells and “Schnauzers, the ones with the moustaches”.

Chatting animatedly to the children, the monarch also revealed that delphiniums were his favourite flowers.

Organisers have said that Katie Price has dropped out of an event just days before she was due to perform. The news was shared today, with it suggested that she will no longer take to the stage due to “unforeseen circumstances”.

Katie, 47, had been due to make an appearance at Barnsley Pride over the weekend. The event – which is just one of the Pride celebrations that are taking place in the UK this summer – will be held in the town of Barnsley on Saturday. She was scheduled to headline the afterparty at nightclub Funny Gals. It was previously advertised that Kerry Katona, 44, would be the headliner, with Katie said to have replaced her pal after she previously pulled out of it herself.

Organisers of the afterparty shared the news on social media this afternoon. They wrote: “Important announcement. We sincerely apologise to all our visitors who are looking forward to join us for our Barnsley Pride 2025 events.”

They continued by saying that Katie would no longer headline. Organisers wrote: “Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, Katie Price will no longer be headlining our Funny Gals Main Stage / After Dark Official Pride Afterparty.”

Fans were told that those behind the event were “disappointed”. They said: “We want to make it clear that this is beyond our control and that we are genuinely disappointed, as we were very excited to have her as part of our line up of amazing acts.

Additionally, the original headliner, Kerry Katona, also had to cancel due to personal reasons. The entire team here at Funny Gals shares in this disappointment, and we deeply regret any inconvenience or disappointment caused.”

Organisers then provided details of the “incredible line-up of acts” that are still scheduled to perform. They concluded: “We look forward to celebrating pride with you and thank you for your understanding and continued support.”

It’s stated that the afterparty will feature drag artist Vicki Vivacious, who appeared on RuPaul’s Drag Race UK back in 2023. The line-up for the event is said to also include X Factor’s Sami Brooks, a Pink tribute act and other performers.

Last month, Katie performed at a Pride event in Portsmouth. She later shared that she had an “amazing night” at Portsmouth Pride, where she performed songs such as We Don’t Have to Take Our Clothes Off and I Got U.

Katie, who was joined by her daughter Princess Andre at the event, was seen on stage in footage shared on social media. At one point, she brought reality TV star Ella Morgan onto the stage.

They paid tribute to each other at the gig and Katie said that despite speculation they “love each other”. She also poked fun at Ella having been romantically linked to Katie’s partner JJ Slater whilst on Married at First Sight.
