Ruth Langsford breaks silence on ‘painful’ Eamonn Holmes split – ‘I don’t want to be alone’

Loose Women host Ruth Langsford has admitted her divorce from Eamonn Holmes is ‘painful’ in a candid new interview but also insisted she is moving on with her life

Ruth Langsford has spoken for the first time about her split from husband Eamonn Holmes – admitting it has been “very painful” but insisting she refused to “crumble” and is moving on with her life.

The Loose Women star and Eamonn announced their break up last year amidst reports they had been living separate lives for some time already. Since then Ruth has had to watch on as Eamonn began a new relationship with girlfriend Katie Alexander. Ruth said: “A break-up of a relationship is hard enough for anybody to deal with.

“A divorce is very difficult and it’s very painful, but most people don’t have to do it in the public eye, with everybody having an opinion about you and writing things about you and commenting things about you. But that’s the nature of my job. I’ve always had that and if you can’t cope with that, you shouldn’t be doing this job.”

Asked how she is feeling now, Ruth added: “I’m all right. Relationship breakdowns are very difficult – marriage, friendship, whatever it is – but you just deal with it and you have to move on. You can either let yourself crumble or you pick yourself up and get on with life. It’s a choice.”

Ruth, who shares son Jack, 22, with Eamonn, added: “I’m not delighted my marriage is over but I’ve accepted that my marriage is over, so I am trying to now embrace the fact that I’m single and can make choices that are just about me.”

Ruth gave the interview to woman&home magazine with sources close to her saying she felt it was the right time to speak, choosing to promote her clothing range at the same time as touching on the break up. In the magazine, honest Ruth also says she has lost weight in part due to the divorce, which came after 14 years of marriage. Cracks had started to appear in their relationship before the formal announcement of the split and they had not been photographed together for two years.

“I have lost weight,” she said, confirming she is now a size 14. “Divorce obviously has something to do with it but I also went for a hormone check and rebalance, which helped. It could also hopefully mean that I’m coming to the end of menopause. I feel better when I’m a bit lighter.”

Admitting some self-doubt, she added: “I know I’m supposed to be empowered, look in the mirror and love my 65-year-old body. Well, I don’t always and, actually, I don’t think many women do. When I’m with my friends, we all complain about trivial stuff but it’s how we feel and that’s OK. Then, we pick ourselves up and get on with our lives because we have so much to be grateful for. We have a good moan, then another bottle of wine!”

Ruth took time off work from Loose Women when the split was first announced in May and returned in July with sources saying at the time she had been left devastated by what had happened and how quickly Eamonn moved on. Her presenting jobs on ITV and with the QVC shopping channel have helped her to look forward with a positive outlook. She said: “For a lot of people, whatever troubles you have, work is something that you have to get up and do. For me, it’s always been a good thing to dust myself down and concentrate on something else.”

She used her first interview to pay tribute to her friends who have had to help her through the split and sometimes been there during tearful late night conversations. Ruth said: “My female friendships are very important and, by God, have they stepped up. They did before, when my sister died, particularly. I’ve always known they’re there, but when the chips are down, they’re really there. They lift you up from the floor. They dry your tears, they bring food around, they phone you all the time to make sure you’re OK – and I would do the same for them. I can probably count those friends – the 2am friend – on one hand.”

By contrast to Ruth’s pain, soon after the split was announced, Eamonn was photographed with girlfriend Katie, although his friends insist they only became close after his split to Ruth. Speaking in June last year, Eamonn “I’m not OK. This is not a good time at all.” When asked about whether he and Ruth will continue to have a relationship of any kind, Eamonn added: “It’s too early to say but I hope we can still be friends.” He has since gone on holiday with his new partner Katie and has continued to work on GB News throughout the break up.

Ruth is now planning holidays herself, considering a visit to Thailand to see her best friend from school. Another option may be to go on a girls trip abroad to celebrate turning 65 as she says she would like to travel more. She said “As for the future, there is a certain feeling of liberation but I’m definitely not planning my next 10 years in finite detail!”

Ruth also suggested she will look to date again like Eamonn when the time is right. She said: “I’m quite fine being on my own, but not forever. When you’re in a relationship, it’s easy to say, ‘Great, I’ve got a weekend to myself,’ but when you think that might be every weekend, it’s a different story.”

In the magazine she names Coronation Street actor Jacob Roberts as a celebrity crush describing him as “hot, tall and dark”. Ruth, who turns 65 in March, also speaks in the interview about her dementia fears, as both her parents had Alzheimer’s, with her dad passing away in 2002 and her beloved mum now 94.

She could be tested to see if she is more likely to suffer with the disease when she gets older but she “would rather not know” for the time being as there is currently no medication to treat it. Ruth has found some comments about her looks on social media hurtful but has no plans to go under the knife just yet.

I’m not saying that I’ll never have a neck lift or a chin lift because, who knows? By the time I’m 68, I might not be able to stand it any more. My grandma and mum were against vanity. If ever I said to my mum, ‘My knees are so chubby,’ she’d say, ‘You’re lucky to have knees.’ Perhaps somewhere in the back of my mind I’ve got a conditioning that to do anything like that is vain. There are times when I think, ‘Am I just cutting my nose off to spite my face?’ I say I don’t want injectables or fillers but I could look great.”

Eamonn and Ruth met in 1997 when they were introduced by mutual friends and they then dated for over a decade before Eamonn popped the question and they married in 2010. Sources close to the former couple admit their divorce has not been finalised and it is unclear how much longer that will take, with one source saying they expect it will be months before they have settled everything.

Frankie Bridge’s green River Island outfit on Loose Women has viewers rushing to snap it up

Frankie Bridge looked flawless in a green co-ord on Friday’s Loose Women, and fans have been quick to snap up the River Island outfit after she shared a snap on social media

If ever you feel yourself stuck in a rut with your wardrobe, I highly recommend snooping on Frankie Bridge’s Instagram account. The former Saturdays singer has become an infinite source of style inspiration, and shoppers have fallen in love with one of her recent looks .

Appearing on Friday’s episode of Loose Women, the 36-year-old looked ‘stunning’ in a green tailored co-ord. Viewers rushed to compliment her ensemble, commenting on her social media post ‘This colour on you’, ‘love this outfit’ and ‘so stunning’.

Styled by Lauren Paxton, the mum-of-two wore a Khaki Tailored Shirt with the matching Khaki Pleated Wide Leg Trousers . And despite its designer-inspired appearance, Frankie’s two-piece is actually from the high street and costs less than £100.

The £49 shirt cuts a dreamy silhouette, with a utility style collar, sleek sleeves and nipping in at the waist. It’s complete with four smart buttons that give it a polished look that’s perfect for the office.

Not everyone was a fan of Frankie’s look, with one follower adding ‘oh no, not green’, but if the khaki hue isn’t for you, the co-ord also comes in beige. Both colourways are available in sizes 6-18.

Frankie paired the top with the Khaki Pleated Wide Leg Trousers , which cost £45. They boast a flattering wide leg fit with pleated detailing. But the best part? They have a secret elasticated waistband at the back for added comfort – and is also ideal if you’re between sizes.

Moreover, the trousers feature belt loops, ideal for adding a chic black or tan belt. But if you prefer, there’s also the option to go for the Khaki Belted Tailored Mini Skort, which is £35.

The River Island co-ord comes in at £95 and can be worn together or as separates

For something a little more relaxed, but with a similar collar, M&S has this Pure Cotton Twill Collared Short Jacket for £59 . It’s cut in a comfy regular fit, with a neat collar and short length for a cool, modern look, while the two front pockets are super handy. The retailer also has this Tailored Collarless Blazer in a butter yellow shade , which is giving similar high-end vibes as the River Island number, but with a bit of a twist.

Another go-to brand for blazers is Nobody’s Child, and they’ve currently got a Chocolate Brown Double Breasted Relaxed Blazer on their website for £120. In a trendy shade, it’s got a timeless notch collar, double-breasted front and matching buttons. Alternatively, you can copy Frankie Bridge’s River Island look here.

  • Coleen Nolan breaks silence after sister Linda’s funeral with tear-jerking unseen footage

Coleen Nolan breaks silence after sister Linda’s funeral with tear-jerking unseen footage

Coleen Nolan took to social media to share unseen photos of her beloved sister Linda and a tear-jerking recording of her singing Somewhere Over the Rainbow hours after her funeral

Coleen Nolan has spoken out with a heartfelt post a day after attending her sister Linda’s funeral.

The Loose Women presenter and singer joined her family members as Linda was laid to rest on Saturday in a moving send off that was also attended by many of Linda’s celebrity friends.

Linda passed away on January 15 following a lengthy battle with cancer. Huge crowds gathered as Linda’s pink, sparkly coffin carried into church by Coleen’s son’s Shane and Jake. Coleen and her sisters – who formed The Nolans pop group in the 70s all wore pink breast cancer broaches and earrings for the service.

“Yesterday, we said a heartbreaking goodbye to my sister Linda for the last time, and it was a truly beautiful send-off.

“A couple of weeks ago, I came across an unreleased recording of Linda singing ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow’ and I wanted to share it with you all alongside some cherished old photos and videos. Thank you all for your continued support, love Col xx”

The post was met with a huge response from the TV star’s followers. Her fellow Loose Women Judi Love replied ‘This is so beautiful.’ Former Loose Women Saira Khan added: “Beautiful, just like she was.”

One of Coleen’s followers shared: “It’s a shame this couldn’t be released now it would be the most fitting tribute to Linda, possibly raise more money for research into cancer. Thank you for sharing this with us, you were in my thoughts yesterday and many other C patients. I know they lit a candle on the ward I stay in on the C unit for Linda. RIP Linda thank you for being that beacon of light to so many of us, never forgotten.”

On Saturday, Linda’s sister Denise Nolan-Anderson delivered the eulogy and praised her sister’s “courage in the face of adversity”. She added: “It’s time to rest now, Linda. The battle is over, you are free.”

Acknowledging the huge attendance on the day, Denise said: “She really loved going to premieres and opening nights, having her beautiful hair and make-up done, and always was the life and soul of any big occasion. She would have loved all the fuss today.”

Denise also praised her sister’s “courage in the face of adversity”. She added: “It’s time to rest now, Linda. The battle is over, you are free.”

The service was attended by a number of celebrities, including Charlotte Dawson, singer Lisa Maffia, comedian Tommy Cannon and actor Shane Richie, Coleen Nolan’s ex-husband.

Coleen, 59, recently revealed that her family decided to ignore one of Linda’s more outlandish requests.

The Loose Women star said: “She wanted everyone in black, wearing mantillas, those little lace veils that cover your face. I remember saying, ‘You are joking, Linda! If I see all my sisters in mantillas, I’m going to laugh the whole way through the funeral!’We’ve decided not to do that, but we are wearing black.

“Her coffin is pure showbiz – bright pink and sparkly, just as she wanted. The one thing my sister loved was bling – her trainers had bling on them, her handbags, her tops, her walking stick – so it feels right that she has a glittery pink coffin.”

  • Olivia Attwood’s rise from Love Island wild child to TV’s golden girl

Olivia Attwood’s rise from Love Island wild child to TV’s golden girl

The queen of reality TV and host of her own documentary series, Olivia Attwood, has certainly made a name for herself since she first appeared on our screens for Love Island

    Olivia Attwood
Olivia Attwood has undergone a major transformation over the years

Olivia Attwood has come a long way since she first graced our screens on Love Island in 2017. The 33-year-old has since carved out an impressive career, fronting her own string of TV documentaries, hosting her own podcast and joining Loose Women as a regular panellist with her quick wit and candid wisdom.

After the success of Olivia’s first two seasons of Getting Filthy Rich, the award-winning documentary series returns on ITV2 tonight (Sunday, 2 February) as she dives deeper into the adult industry, uncovering its diverse nature. As we welcome back the TV sensation, we’ve taken a look back at Olivia’s rise to fame, from growing up in London to her major transformation…

    Early days

Before becoming the golden girl of TV we all know and love today, Olivia had a typical upbringing in London with her parents, Jenny and Kai Attwood, and her younger siblings sister, Georgia and brother, Max. Reflecting on her childhood, she previously shared, “My parents taught me to always stand up for myself and never let anyone dim my light.” With her confidence and quick wit from the start, she expressed, “I hated being told what to do,” adding that school was “just another stage with too many rules.”

The 33-year-old has been open about her struggles with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) and the impact it had on her life. She previously shared on Loose Women, “Later in life I found myself with a severe battle of anxiety and depression, and came under the care of a psychiatrist who specialised in ADHD.

“It was a stroke of luck that it was diagnosed. [It’s] state of being constantly overwhelmed.” She added, “Pre-Love Island, I just kind of hit this point where everything came to a head. My anxiety was through the roof, I was fluctuating in and out of mild depression, and I had to actually get some help for it.”

Olivia explained the type of ADHD she has, “There are three major types. I fall into a combined type…There’s the typical type people look for – hyperactive child in the classroom, throwing things, breaking things. Other types – internalised, fidgeting, restless thoughts, disorganised, acting on impulse”.

    TV fame

She first began her career as a model and motorsport grid girl before entering the Love Island villa in 2017, where she finished in third place. Success soon followed as she starred in her own reality show with ex-boyfriend Chris Hughes, Chris and Olivia: Crackin’ On, before appearing on the likes of Celebs Go Dating, The Only Way is Essex and The Games.

Despite her personality shining through on reality TV and fans hailing her humorous and candid on-screen marks, Olivia knew that this wasn’t her “endgame”. So she went into the world of presenting. “I had to learn to tone down the drama, but not too much – just enough to be taken seriously without losing what makes me, me.”

Her determination and strive certainly paid off as the former reality sensation then graced our screens with the docu-series Getting Filthy Rich in 2022. She served up four in-depth episodes before returning for its second series last year. Following its huge success, the third series is back as Olivia plunges into the depths of the adult world, shedding light on its eclectic arena and some eyebrow-raising niches.

Getting Filthy Rich isn’t Olivia’s only show returning this year, as her ITV reality show, Bad Boyfriends, has also been recommissioned for a second series following, along with her ITV show, Price of Perfection. This comes as no surprise, considering Olivia’s extensive experience in the television industry.

Additionally, the superstar landed two shows of her own, Olivia Meets Her Match and Olivia Marries Her Match, with her husband, Bradley Dack, and regularly joins the panel on Loose Women. Not to mention her hilarious podcast, Olivia Attwood’s So Wrong It’s Right, which launched in 2023.

    Unrecognisable transformation

After finding fame on Love Island at the tender age of 26, Olivia has previously expressed discomfort with her appearance and early desire for cosmetic surgery. She disclosed to The Times why she opted for breast augmentation at just 20 years old, stating, “I was fixated and it was cheap and quick. These b****y boobs were so heavy. I was happy for a year, then I realised they didn’t look right for my frame.”

She recounted the ordeal of her implants continual sagging, lamenting, “The weight of the implants started to stretch my skin and they got lower and lower. I started to think, ‘This isn’t what I signed up for at all.” Olivia also shared her subsequent experiments with non-invasive beauty treatments, revealing, “I do the non-surgical stuff to my face – Botox, all the jazzy skincare, the Morpheus8, the lasers.

“I’ll try everything that’s new. I’ll do dots of filler here and there. Fillers are a journey I’ve been on.” She further commented on the illusion of naturalness in cosmetic procedures, adding, “The ‘natural’ that women are buying isn’t natural at all.”

Throwback photos of Olivia have resurfaced over the years, showing her with bleach-blonde air and noticeably smaller lips and brows before TV fame. In a snap from her pageant days in Las Vegas, Olivia remarked how “there is no top lip or eyebrows. So bizarre”. In another post, she joked about her bright blonde hair and dark tan back in 2014 as she said, “The colour of my skin/hair combination is really something.”

Olivia is thought to have begun getting lip filler a year or so before entering the Love Island villa, as they looked noticeably plumper in some 2016 snaps, while also opting for fuller brows these days. Ditching the bright blonde, today Olivia can be sporting warmer tones of blonde in her long locks paired with a full, bouncy chic fringe.

Peter Andre admits another vasectomy U-turn with surprising revelation

Dad of five Peter Andre exclusively reveals his final word on having a vasectomy – admitting he’s a bit of a “wimp” but feels a responsibility to do the right thing by wife Emily

    Peter and Emily Andre
Peter and Emily have agreed to stop at three children(Image: PeterAndre/Instagram)

Peter Andre is a doting dad of five, but after committing to getting the snip to avoid it becoming six, he now says he’s a bit “scared” of pressing ahead with a vasectomy. The popstar’s eldest child, Junior, will turn 20 this summer, and his youngest, Arabella, was born in April last year.

Speaking previously about whether he wanted to become a dad again, the Mysterious Girl singer, who turns 52 this month, said he and wife Emily MacDonagh had agreed they would stop at three – they’re also parents to Amelia, 10, and eight-year-old Theo – and he was prepared to undergo a vasectomy. Chatting on Loose Women last week he hinted that he had yet to go through with it, and speaking exclusively to OK!, he elaborated more on his reasons why.

    Peter Junior and Princess Andre
He’s also dad to Junior and Princess(Image: INSTAGRAM)

“I appeared on Loose Women last week to promote the Frankie Valli tour and one of the topics we discussed is whether a man should get a vasectomy. Having children is a big decision,” he said in his exclusive column.

“We frequently expect the woman to have to find a way and take measures not to become pregnant, but actually I realise that us men have a responsibility too. The problem is, like many, I’m a bit scared of having that kind of procedure. I know, call me a wimp. Who knows? Never say never, I guess.”

Peter, who shares Junior and Princess, 17, with his ex Katie Price, also spoke recently on the Netmums podcast and said Emily had been busting a few vasectomy myths for him but he still wasn’t totally convinced it was the right step.

Peter is a proud dad of five after baby Arabella's arrival
Peter and Emily are also doting parents to Theo and Amelia(Image: Instagram)

“I literally thought that if you get it done, you start talking like this (high-pitched),” he revealed. “I literally did, so I started freaking out and I said, ‘I can’t do that’ and she [Emily] said, ‘What’s wrong with you?’. And I said, ‘Well, what if I start speaking really high-pitched?’ As if I don’t speak high-pitched already.”

After NHS doctor Emily assured him it was a myth, Peter said he was more at peace with the decision, but was then told by other men it was a “horrific” experience.

“I’m not going to lie, I’ve completely bottled it, it’s freaked me out,” he added. “If it means she doesn’t need to do anything to prevent it, I will do it, but it’s going to take some guts to do it.”

In his latest column Peter also revealed a special connection to the newest member of the royal family – baby Athena, the second daughter of Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.

Athena Elizabeth Rose Mapelli Mozzi was born on Wednesday, January 22, at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London several weeks before her due date.

Her name, Peter said, holds a very special meaning to him. “I love that they called their baby Athena.

That was actually one of our top contenders for Arabella – it was one of my favourites. Obviously, Athens is the capital of Greece so, being Greek, I think it’s a great name.”

Charlene White defies Loose Women director as entire panel burst into tears

Loose Women’s Charlene White left her fellow stars in floods of tears during Monday’s show as she paid tribute to her late best friend Darrell, ignoring producers to do so

Charlene White has tearfully opened up about her late friend Darrell on Loose Women, revealing that she powered through with a tribute to him on the show despite straying from the show’s plan.

Charlene’s close friend Darrell passed away last week after suffering with Sarcoma cancer – a rare type of tumour that develops in bone and connective tissue.

Speaking on Loose Women, Charlene revealed that while she could hear a producer in her ear saying that she wasn’t sticking to the running order, she wanted to send a message to Darrell’s wife Amy before the ad break.

“Straight into and I know the director is going to go, ‘That’s not what we planned Charlene!’ I don’t care,” she said. “I know that Darrell’s wife is watching – I love you lots. I know that we’ll get through this together,” she said. “As a family, as friends, as everything because sometimes friend loss can feel like family loss because they are your family.”

She then revealed that while heading into the break, the show would play the speech Darrell gave when receiving the Inspiration Award at Sarcoma UK’s Shining Star Awards. “He gave an incredible speech where he talked about what is important in the world,” Charlene said. “Going into the break, have a listen to him now.”

The programme then played a clip of Darrell’s speech: “I want people to realise yes Sarcoma is a bad thing, it can be really damaging. Lots of things can be too. When you wake up, think about the people that you really love and love spending time with…It’s all about people and love.”

Speaking earlier in the programme, Charlene opened up about losing Darrell – who was diagnosed with Sarcoma on his 40th birthday. “He popped round to my house for his birthday lunch and he told me all about it,” she said. “He fought through it for four and a half years, I’m incredibly proud of him.”

Charlene speaking about her grief quickly set off her fellow Loose Women stars, with Judi Love and Kelly Brook wiping away tears as they spoke about their own experiences with the deaths of loved ones.

After speaking about the death of her dad from cancer, Kelly told Charlene: “Whenever anyone goes through it, and I’m so sorry for your loss, it makes me cry because I know what it is and I have so much empathy. It’s the worst and all you can do is be there. So know that we all know what you’re going through.

Last week, Charlene revealed on social media that her heart had “broken into a million pieces” following Darrell’s death. “There will be many of you who will aware of me talking about one of my oldest and best friends Darrell @djoptic and his mission to beat the enemy which is Sarcoma cancer,” she wrote.

“In the early hours of Saturday morning, four and a half years after he was diagnosed, after a week of saying goodbyes to those he loved, sharing stories and banter, he took his final breath surrounded by his wonderful wife @mrsamymcdonald and children Maya and Theo.”

The TV personality went on to say: “He has been my brother since we met at 16 years old, I was the best man at his wedding, and god-mother to his eldest. The nonsense our little crew would get up to was hilarious back in the day, he was there for every milestone. My heart is broken into a million pieces.”

Rumer Willis says Bruce Willis is “doing great” amid the LA wildfires and his ongoing battle with dementia.

The 36-year-old actress is the daughter of Hollywood star Bruce – who was diagnosed with Frontotemporal dementia (FTD) – a degenerative disease, which causes behavioural changes and communication difficulties – and his ex-wife Demi Moore, and revealed that the family are just trying to “rally around each other” as the disaster has been unfolding across California.

Speaking on UK TV show ‘Loose Women’, she explained: “He’s doing great. I think, obviously as many people in California, the thing we’re all kind of the most scared, dealing with is just fires and wanting to make sure everything is okay. Because my family, we’re all so close, I think what’s so beautiful is the way that we rally around each other, [it’s] so lovely, because we really are a unit.”

The ‘House Bunny’ star – who has 21-month-old Louetta with former partner Derek Richard Thomas – noted that being a mother has improved her confidence and admitted that she is “grateful” for how her parents emphasised the importance of family to her even when they decided to go their separate ways when she was growing up.

She said: “I feel like I am my most grounded, intuitive, connected self. What I am thinking about when it comes to my daughter, I noticed sometimes in other decisions in my life, I can be a little anxious or indecisive or not know what to do. I find if I really listen to myself when it’s about her, I feel really grounded and quiet – and I’m able to make really definitive decisions that I feel really helped me with that confidence.

“I think the thing I’m most grateful for is that even when they split up, they created such a beautiful foundation of prioritising my sisters and I, that I never felt like I had to choose or like, they never played against each other.

“We were a family, and we still are very much a family no matter what… And not only did I feel like that has set me up in my life to have such a beautiful foundation of my own family, but now, as I’m working through co-parenting as well, I feel deep gratitude for the example they’ve set.”

Kelly admitted her mistake on Loose Women about Emma Bunton

Kelly Brook left her Loose Women co-stars completely gobsmacked after admitting she walked out of Emma Bunton’s Christmas show.

On Monday’s episode of the hit ITV daytime show, Kelly joined Charlene White, Brenda Edwards and Judi Love in the studio, where the conversation quickly turned to a jaw-dropping revelation. Kicking things off by discussing the recent phenomenon of theatre-goers leaving productions midway through to avoid ‘spoilers’ before the film adaptation is released. With Wicked receiving ten Oscar nominations, it seems some fans are ditching the West End show to keep the big-screen experience fresh.

But as the debate raged on, Kelly dropped a bombshell of her own. “I do have a confession…” she admitted, before dropping her Emma Bunton-shaped secret. “I love going to the theatre, I’ve seen so many West End shows, musicals, all sorts… But I do need to apologise to Emma Bunton – she invited me to her Christmas show at the Royal Albert Hall.”

Attempting to justify her actions, Kelly explained: “I had a puppy that was six months old, and about half an hour into the show… I got immense anxiety that this little puppy was going to absolutely wreck my house. Eat everything! I just said to my husband, ‘I’m not enjoying the show.’ It was nothing to do with Emma – Emma is fantastic…”

Judi, clearly in disbelief, asked: “Your mind was somewhere else?” To which Kelly nodded. “My mind was somewhere else. I just could not relax.” Charlene pressed for more details. “So, you lasted like three songs?”

Kelly, appearing embarrassed, admitted she and her husband made a sneaky exit. “I said, ‘Let’s just pretend we’re going to the bar…’ and we slipped out and left the show. We went home. The puppy was fine. It was all in my head! And now, any time I’ve got a dog, I cannot see a show.”

Adding insult to injury, Judi demanded to know where Kelly had been sitting. When she revealed she had front-row seats, the panel absolutely lost it. Charlene, still in shock, urged her to make amends. “Do you want to apologise to Emma again?”

Turning directly to the camera, Kelly made her plea: “Emma, I would love to come back to your show again if you would kindly invite me. I know, I know, it was terrible! But the puppy was six months old!”

Elsewhere on the show, emotions ran high as the panel shared personal heartbreaks in a deeply emotional discussion about grief and how to talk to children about death.

Charlene broke down in tears as she opened up about losing her best friend, while Judi became visibly emotional speaking about her late mum. Kelly also welled up as she reflected on the loss of her father.

Loose Women is available to watch weekdays on ITV at 12:30pm, or ITV+1 at 1:30pm

Is there a series 3 of Whitstable Pearl?

There is indeed a third series of Whitstable Pearl. It landed on Acorn TV in October 2024. However, it is now available to watch on free-to-air channel U and U&Drama.

In the latest episodes, Kerry Godliman reprises her role as restaurant owner Pearl Nolan. Series 3 finds Pearl fully immersed in her private investigating, leaving most of the running of the restaurant to her mother Dolly and Ruby.

Meanwhile, DCI Mike McGuire returns to Whitstable having been away for a few months… He arrives back a changed man – leaner, fitter and more Zen. But will this last? It doesn’t take a private investigator to take a damn good guess!

A synopsis tells us: “There is still clearly a deep connection between Pearl and Mike… But Pearl’s concern is more about Mike’s state of mind throughout the series.

“As their paths continually cross, solving Whitstable crimes, it becomes clear to Pearl that Mike is far from resolved with his wife’s death and is determined to help him find closure.”

Series 1 first aired on Acorn in 2021, followed by series 2 in 2022. Fans had to wait a bit longer for series 3, which came two years after series 2 in 2024.

How and when can I watch Whitstable Pearl series 3?

Whitstable Pearl series 3 arrives on U&Drama on Friday, July 25, 2025 at 9pm.

It will stream as a box set from launch.

    Who’s in the cast?

Kerry Godliman returns as Pearl Nolan, restaurant owner-turned-private investigator. Kerry is perhaps best known for appearing in Ricky Gervais’ TV shows, including Derek, Extras, and After Life. She led the cast of Jack Dee’s sitcom Bad Move between 2017 and 2018, before going on to play Teens in the gritty drama Save Me.

Trigger Point fans will know her as Sonya Reeves in the first two series.

Howard Charles reprises his role as DCI Mike McGuire. He previously played horribly menacing Curtis in Top Boy, and Porthos in The Musketeers alongside Strike‘s Tom Burke.

Frances Barber stars as Dolly, Pearl’s mum. The veteran actress is known for her multiple film roles, as well as significant roles in Rhodes, Real Women II, Silk, Funland, and Doctor Who. More recently, Frances starred as Cheryl in Dreamland, and Olivia Arnold in The Chelsea Detective.

Isobelle Molloy plays Ruby. The young actress previously portrayed Bella Young in EastEnders.

Comedian and actor Robert Webb returns as Pearl’s boyfriend Tom. Of course, TV audiences know him best for being one half of Mitchell and Webb comedy duo with Ludwig‘s David Mitchell. Together they created and starred in Peep Show, and Back.

EastEnders and Grantchester star Kacey Ainsworth portrays Cassie in episode 2.

Jaye Jacobs plays Tanya Thomas in episode 2. She’s best known for playing Donna Jackson in Holby City between 2004 and 2022.

The always funny W1A star Rufus Jones plays Theo in episode 3.

‘Allo ‘Allo legend Vicki Michelle – aka Yvette ‘Oooooh, René’ Carte-Blanche – will also guest star in the series. She’ll play Patti in episode 4.

Kate Robbins also pops up in Whitstable Pearl episode 4 as Janet.

Gavin & Stacey and The Feud actor Larry Lamb plays Dickie Masters in episode 4.

Merseybeat and The Archers’ David Hargreaves stars as Jacob Cranage in episode 5.

Nick Moran, of Lock, Stock and 2 Smoking Barrels fame, stars as Anthony Corella in episode 6, aka the series 3 finale.

    How many episodes is it?

Whitstable Beach series 3 is six episodes in total. That follows the same pattern as the previous two series. Each episode is roughly an hour long.

In episode 1, a local photographer called Izzy asks Pearl to investigate a cold case. Her plea comes after she’s knocked unconscious on the beach while taking photos of a young woman she believes to be Gemma, the missing daughter of her friend Val.

Val is convinced that Gemma’s husband Luke had something to do with her disappearance seven years ago. Having visited Luke, Pearl immediately becomes suspicious when she finds parcels with handwritten labels in Luke’s bin. She subsequently enlists Mike’s help to forensically test the evidence and discover if Gemma has returned.

Filming locations include the harbour, the yacht club, and the beach. Various scenes have also been shot in neighbouring Margate, the Port of Ramsgate, Dover, and Hernhill.

  • Katie Price hits out at Peter Andre’s ‘pathetic and sad’ management company after being ‘banned’ from Princess’ 18th

Katie Price hits out at Peter Andre’s ‘pathetic and sad’ management company after being ‘banned’ from Princess’ 18th

    The Pricey is not happy!

Katie Price did not hold her tongue as she slammed Peter Andre’s management company for reportedly ‘banning’ her from daughter Princess’ 18th birthday party.

The Pricey was married to singer Peter for four years before their split in 2009. The former couple share two children – Junior, 20 and Princess.

On June 29, Princess Andre turned 18 – but it was claimed that Katie was ‘banned’ from her celebrations due to the reality star’s partying. As a result, Katie has unleashed a scathing rant believed to be aimed at Peter and his “pathetic” management company.

Katie Price hits out at Peter Andre’s team

Katie was back for another episode of her podcast, The Katie Price Show, this week – and it didn’t take her long to bring up being ‘snubbed’ from Princess’ party guestlist.

Chatting to co-host and sister Sophie, Katie said: “Princess is now officially an adult so Mummy and Princess can now go out together.” However, she then scathed: “If certain people would let her be seen with me.”

Certain people don’t think it’s good for Princess to be seen with me. Certain people that used to look after me.

The mum-of-five then added: “Everyone knows she’s doing this documentary – and I’m not in it. Certain people don’t think it’s good for Princess to be seen with me. Certain people that used to look after me.”

Sophie replied: “You aren’t on brand Katie. You are too risky, Katie, that’s why.”

    Katie Price fumes ‘it’s pathetic’

Not impressed, Katie Price snapped: “It’s pathetic. I’m her mother. It’s so sad.”

She continued: “When certain people who used to look after me are now looking after…” Sophie then interrupted Katie and told her to “save it for another day”.

It’s believed Katie was referring to Peter Andre and their old PR team, The Can Group. The Can Group is now in charge of Pete’s career, as well as Junior and Princess’.

Not finished, Katie then went on: “I’m just saying. Princess was like: ‘I’m having a party.’ And I wasn’t invited because it was for ‘filming’.”

Sophie replied sarcastically: “Oh of course it was! I wonder what restaurant did that for free.” Katie added: “Of course Mummy wasn’t invited because it was for filming.”

    Plans for a ‘real’ 18th

Shew was then asked by Sophie: “So are we going to have an 18th party for her? A ‘real’ 18th?”

Katie fired back: “The fact is there’s stuff my daughter is doing and I’m not allowed to be seen at any of it.

“Certain people who are filming Princess’ documentary used to do my filming. It’s fine, it’s just there’s always conflict of interest. People will cotton on to this. So we do have to do something for Princess’ 18th.”

    ‘She wasn’t invited’

Earlier this week, it was alleged that Katie was ‘banned’ from Princess’ birthday celebrations, after her partying antics made headlines recently. The reality star has enjoyed trips to Dubai and Ibiza, partying with the likes of Wayne Lineker and EastEnders star Dean Gaffney.

However, according to a source this hasn’t gone down well with Princess.

“It should be Princess’s time in the limelight but, sadly, Katie just can’t help herself. She’s been doing everything she can to keep herself in the papers,” an insider alleged to MailOnline.

They added: “Anyone who knows Princess will say she loves her mum but, equally, she is very difficult at times. Nobody around Princess wants that for her, so it was very much for the best that Katie wasn’t at the bash. She was never going to be part of the celebrations, she wasn’t invited.”

ED! has contacted Katie’s representatives and The Can Group for comment.
