Loose Women star forced to apologise after dropping ‘P-bomb’ live on ITV show

Mariella Frostrup was left red-faced after she accidentally swore on air during a heated debate

Loose Women’s newest panellist Mariella Frostrup accidentally let P-word slip during a passionate rant, seemingly oblivious to the cameras that were still capturing every word.

Discussing whether it was appropriate to send Valentines Cards to colleagues on ITV’s Loose Women on Monday, alongside her co-panellists Brenda Edwards, Myleene Klass and host Christine Lampard, Mariella inadvertently let slip a swear word.

In full flow about her dislike for Valentine’s Day, she lamented how commercialisation has tarnished what she saw as a “sweet thing from the 17th century”. The British-Norwegian journalist compared it to other holidays such as Christmas and other traditions.

Mariella conveyed her frustration by exclaiming: “I just feel like it’s taken something that was quite a sweet thing in the 17th century and commercialised it within an inch of its life, like Christmas, like almost everything that I can possibly think of.”

When discussing the pressure from pervasive commercial influences, she added: “It’s just sad, you know I feel like people feel like they are under attack from the relentlessness of the commercial world.”

However, the air turned blue when she let out: “I would be really p***ed off,” prompting immediate gasps and shrieks from both the audience and her co-stars. Brenda appeared gobsmacked, her hand flying to her mouth in shock, while Myleene’s reaction mimicked disbelief, reports the Liverpool Echo.

Quick to realise her mistake, Mariella backtracked with an apology, adding: “I am so sorry if I offended anyone with the P-word.”

Brenda could not withhold her gasps

The host expressed relief to Mariella by stating: “I’m glad you said it.” This prompted Mariella to respond with a touch of concern: “I hope I haven’t shocked the nation.” Christine Lampard, wife of football ace Frank Lampard, playfully retorted: “They were shocked.”

Mariella immediately offered up her apologies

In an attempt to wrap up the awkward segment and shift the mood, Mariella continued with what she’d been trying to get across before the red faced moment happened. She added with a smile: “If someone gave my husband that card I would be pretty annoyed.”

The audience and her fellow panellists seemed to take the blunder in stride, as they joined in with a comforting laugh to reassure that all was now forgiven.

Geordie Shore star Vicky Pattison bravely made her own AI-generated porn scenes in order to highlight the issue for a Channel 4 documentary

    Vicky Pattison
Vicky Pattison has faked her own porn film

Reality star Vicky Pattison has taken the bold move of faking her own sex video in order to investigate deepfake porn.

The Geordie Shore star has produced and directed the scenes in which her own face has been digitally added to the body of an actress. The TV star resorted to the drastic measure as part of a Channel 4 documentary which sets out to investigate the proliferation of deepfake porn and the impact it has on women and girls. She admits she “wrestled with the decision” for a long time before accepting that the video in which she seems to appears “may live online forever”.

The practice of deepfakes, in which individuals are digitally made to look as though they are taking part in pornography despite never having done so, is the latest way in which women can suffer sexual abuse online, with victims often left traumatised. Vicky, who got married this summer to clothing brand manager Ercan Ramadan, said she made the video to “fully immerse herself in this world, and properly understand the depth of shock and violation victims of image-based abuse feel”.

    Vicky Pattison
Vicky has made the campaigning documentary for Channel 4 to highlight online abuse

“I am hugely passionate about women’s issues, and have found myself increasingly disturbed by how prevalent the problem of deepfake porn is becoming,” she explained. “This is just the latest trend in the abuse of women and having met some of the inspirational women who have put their lives back together after being victims of sexually explicit deepfake abuse, I feel more strongly than ever that we need to stand with them and continue to put pressure on the greater powers within the government to catch up with the speed at which this technology is advancing.”

Vicky, 37, added: “As part of the documentary, I have made the challenging decision to release my own deepfake sex tape online, which I directed and produced with actors to ensure the process was fully consensual from start to finish. I wrestled with this decision for a long time, mulling over the permanence of it, and ultimately coming to accept the fact that this content may live online forever. Whilst I know this doesn’t compare to the distress and horror actual victims feel when they discover this content of themselves, I hope it will give some insight into what they go through.”

She hopes that by highlighting the issue she can bring about change from those in power and from tech companies. “My goal is to foster empathy and drive action and to contribute to a larger movement for justice and change, so victims feel supported, understood, and empowered to reclaim their voices and control.”

The video has now been released on social media in a bid to help her understand how this type of content spreads online – and how to get it taken down. Nearly 4000 celebrities have become victims and the government has recently announced plans to criminalise the creation of sexually explicit deepfakes.

Vicky will speak to Northern Irish politician Cara Hunter and C4 New presenter Cathy Newman along with many other women who are not in the public eye.

Channel 4 specialist factual boss Shaminder Nahal said she hoped the “bold and insightful” film would offer real insight and spark debate. “Depressingly, almost every day, we hear about women being abused in different ways, and it’s a priority for me as a commissioner to try to expose and address issues around women and violence, and to explore what can be done.”

    Vicky Pattison and Ercan Ramadan

She said they were “hugely grateful” to Vicky for the way in which she had immersed herself i the subject of image-based abuse “in the most provocative and visceral way possible”. She added: “I hope that this bold and thoughtful film will move the discussion about deepfake pornography forward at a time when technology is moving so fast, we don’t even know where it will take us.”

Film-maker Phil Mount said Vicky had helped to create a “brave and harrowing” documentary which explored the darker side of technological advancement. He explained: “Artificial intelligence is evolving at an unprecedented pace, bringing both groundbreaking opportunities and, at times, deeply troubling consequences. Vicky Pattison and the courageous participants who have lent their voices to this project have been instrumental in shining a light on an increasingly topical subject.”

Vicky appeared in MTV’s Geordie Shore from 2011 until 2014 and followed it with appearances in Ex on the Beach and with her own show Judge Geordie. She won I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here in 2015 and the following year became a panellist on ITV ’s Loose Women.

Linda Robson has shared why her friend Pauline Quirke didn’t like all the “celebrity stuff”.

It was revealed yesterday by Pauline’s husband Steve Sheen that the actress will be retiring from “all professional and commercial duties” after being diagnosed with dementia back in 2021.

In a statement, he said: “It is with a heavy heart that I announce my wife Pauline’s decision to step back from all professional and commercial duties due to her diagnosis of dementia in 2021.

“Pauline has been an inspiration through her work in the film and TV industry, her charity endeavours and as the founder of the very successful Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts (PQA). Her talent, dedication and vision have touched countless lives, and will continue to do so through the legacy of her work and through PQA where her vision and guidance has facilitated many young people’s progression and interest in the arts, and enhanced their self-confidence.”

They concluded: “We kindly request privacy and understanding for Pauline and our family during this difficult period. Pauline just wants to spend time with her family, children and grandchildren.”

Pauline is best known for starring alongside friend Linda Robson in Birds of a Feather, where Pauline starred as Sharon Theodopolopodous. Linda played her on-screen sister Tracey Stubbs in the hit sitcom.

The pair have remained good friends throughout their life, with Linda previously rubbishing rumours of a feud between them.

Speaking on Loose Women six years ago, Linda revealed: “Pauline doesn’t like doing celebrity stuff, she doesn’t like live television. She’s been on here once or twice and will only come on if I’m on it.

“We’ve never had a feud. We’ve been best mates and we’re still best mates.”

Today, Linda did not appear on Loose Women, with host Ruth Langsford explaining that Linda had been aware of her friend’s diagnosis for “some time” but was on holiday or would have been there to talk about her friend.

Ruth told viewers: “Linda Robson, obviously great friends with Pauline, is actually away at the moment, otherwise she would have joined us today to talk about her friend. And obviously she has known for some time.”

Fiona Phillips’ devastated husband reveals his ‘living grief’ as he says ‘slow goodbye’ to the TV legend

‘Bit by bit, Alzheimer’s takes everything’

Fiona Phillips’ devastated husband and sons have revealed they are “enduring a living grief” as they watch the once “glittering” star slowly fade away.

The much-loved TV presenter, 64, was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s three years ago, when she was aged just 61.

Now, after husband Martin Frizell left his job as editor of This Morning to care for Fiona, he has revealed they are “slowly saying goodbye to the woman they love”.

Martin Frizell’s ‘living grief’ over wife Fiona Phillips

In excerpts from their upcoming memoir – Remember When: My Life With Alzheimer’s – published in the Daily Mail, Martin has shared his fears of his wife Fiona Phillips soon being “wiped away” by the cruel degenerative disease.

He also explained the impact Fiona’s illness is having on her beloved sons. The couple, who married in 1997, share Nathaniel, 26, and Mackenzie, 23.

“Bit by bit, it [Alzheimer’s] takes everything. Through time, even the most glamorous, glittering star – such as Fiona was – will be wiped away. On top of the stress, the boys and I are enduring a kind of living grief – a slow goodbye to the woman we love,” Martin wrote.

“After someone is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, they are pretty much left to their own devices. There is nothing more that can be done and you are left to cope alone. As time has passed, I have come to understand that if I were to fall ill or worse, the whole house of cards would collapse. I have had to stay well for Fiona,” he added.

    This Morning exit

Martin said that he now takes care of the household chores, manages their finances, pays the bills, does the shopping, cooking and tidying. He explained that it’s “all the stuff he took for granted because Fiona dealt with it”.

As a result of her illness, stepping back from his full-time job was a no-brainer, he added. “It was knackering. There were times I felt drained, physically and emotionally.”

    Secret ‘separation’ from Martin

In the book, Fiona also revealed the toll her disease – which was undiagnosed at the time – had on her marriage. In fact, in the book she shared that the couple split for a short time, with Martin moving out.

Fiona said she started to become “more and more disconnected from Martin and the boys”. And, with their marriage coming under increasing strain, Fiona admitted that she “didn’t seem to have the energy for any of it any more”.

She didn’t realise how bad things were, however, until Martin said he was moving out. Happily the couple missed each other and reunited.

Announcing the news that she had the degenerative disease in the summer of 2023, Fiona said: “This disease has ravaged my family and now it has come for me.”

She added: “My poor mum was crippled with it. Then my dad, my grandparents, and my uncle. It just keeps coming back for us.”

Loose Women star Andrea McLean in tears as she addresses move to Spain

She’s hoping for a fresh start after losing her business and almost dying

Loose Women star Andrea McLean has broken her silence following reports she is set to quit life in the UK and move to Spain.

The huge move for Andrea comes after the presenter, 55, lost a huge amount of money after leaving the ITV show and almost died after contracting a life-threatening infection…

Loose Women star Andrea McLean’s difficult 2025

Andrea has had a difficult 2025 so far, and is now looking for a fresh start.

The star, who quit Loose Women back in 2020, saw her business dissolved in February.  This is despite a huge investment from the sale of Andrea’s £1m Surrey home. The most recent accounts for her former business, published in December 2023, showed it had just £292 in assets.

In April, the star also revealed that she had come within 24 hours of dying. Andrea was rushed to hospital before being diagnosed with pneumonia and sepsis.

Speaking to The Mirror at the time, she said: “I didn’t realise how severe my illness was at the time. But the doctors had told my husband, Nick, that had I not got to hospital when I did, had we waited another 24 hours to call for help, I may not be here now.”

The star sparked concern when she collapsed in her bathroom. Paramedics rushed to stabilise her dangerously low blood pressure.

    Andrea McLean’s hospital dash

Writing on her Substack in February, the star explained that her body had been weakened after contracting Covid three times. She’d also been battling the effects of Long Covid, and a nasty bout of the flu in December.

“I can’t remember much about A&E other than it was thorough. Questions, scans, lots of needles, and possibly the most painful insertion of a catheter ever experienced,” she said.

Andrea’s focused on what really matters – family and friends.

“Then my X-ray and CT scans came back. I had severe pneumonia, Acute Kidney Injury, and sepsis. Things happened quickly; drips, super-strong antibiotics via IV and orally, and I was transferred to the Emergency Assessment Ward,” she then continued.

She later continued, saying: “It’s now February, and I’m still not well enough to handle normal stuff like getting up and rushing out the door to do the jobs I’d been booked to do, because every part of that process would end with me falling down, or at the very least sitting on a tube station floor feeling very unwell and embarrassed at the stares. I’m still having ‘funny turns’ while out for a walk, or attempting the mildest of exercise.”

    Andrea’s move abroad

Earlier today, The Sun reported that Andrea is keen for a fresh start on the continent, where she can focus on her writing. The star is already the author of three best-selling books.

“It’s been a tough couple of years and the business never financially recovered. Andrea made the decision to dissolve the business officially earlier this year,” a source told the publication.

“Now she’s planning a new life in Spain with husband Nick [Feeney]. After she nearly died, Andrea’s focused on what really matters – family and friends,” they then continued.

“She’s in a really good place, positive, loved up with Nick still, her kids are all grown up so she’s happy and making life work for her.”

Now Andrea has spoken out in a very emotional video.

    Andrea addresses Spain move

“You may have seen or heard in the papers that we are moving. And yes, we are,” she said, showing off some packed boxes behind her.

“I wasn’t going to say anything just yet, but in a nutshell a conversation I had with someone ended up in the papers, so here we are,” she then continued.

“Lots of reasons for this. It’s been really well documented that obviously, I’ve had a bit of a shocker over the last few years. Not only health wise, but obviously my business failing and then it culminated at the start of the year with, I had been very unwell. And what it made me realise is oh gosh, you only get one shot, and you have to seize the day,” she then continued.

Loose Women star Andrea McLean in tears

As she teared up, her husband came into frame to give her a cuddle.

“I don’t know why I’m crying. Oh so silly, I didn’t mean to do this. Those of you who know me, know I have always wanted to live by the sea and in the sun, and so that’s what we’re doing. The timing of course is not perfect – timing isn’t always perfect.
‘There is never a perfect moment, but what I realised at the start of this year is you don’t know how many moments you might have left. You have to seize them. It’s a good thing, it’s scary. I have no idea how things are going to pan out,” she then said.

Fiona Phillips’ husband shares fresh health blow as star handed ‘secondary’ diagnosis: ‘She’s in a lot of pain’

The husband of Fiona Phillips, Martin Frizell, issued a heartbreaking health update on his wife on This Morning today.

During Friday morning’s (July 11) show, the former boss of the daytime show joined hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary.

In July 2023, Fiona announced she had been living with the disease for over 18 months. She was diagnosed at age 61. In their new memoir, Remember When: My Life With Alzheimer’s, Martin shared his fears of his wife Fiona Phillips soon being “wiped away” by the cruel degenerative disease.

Martin Frizell issues health update on Fiona Phillips

As Martin sat down with Dermot and Alison, he revealed more about Fiona’s health while promoting their book.

While continuing to live with the disease, Martin revealed that Fiona has depression and would still like to work. “She wanted to be here, but she’s not well enough to come in and talk to you,” he explained.

Martin stated that their book was a “vehicle to give her a purpose”.

Alison admitted her decline has felt rather “sudden” since she was diagnosed. She asked Martin how “bad” Fiona was “right now”.

He replied: “She’d love to be here. But, she’s got anxiety, she’s got a secondary problem that causes her to be in pain a lot. It’s a lot of pain, which adds to the confusion.”

Martin explained there is a fairly recent photo of Fiona in the book where she is wearing a coat at the end of a road. “She thought I’d kidnapped her,” he told Alison and Dermot.

“You get all sorts of delusions and you get so worked up. She keeps saying, ‘I want to go home.’”

This prompted Alison to say, “So, she doesn’t recognise you, Martin?” However, Martin said she does “most of the time” but doesn’t know that he is her husband.

“It’s not frequent, but every now and then, she’ll want to go home to her parents,” he continued. Martin admitted he doesn’t have the heart to say “they aren’t here”.

Both of Fiona’s parents died from the disease. However, Fiona herself doesn’t carry the gene.

Lorraine viewers react as Dr Amir Khan makes ‘inappropriate’ joke about Christine Lampard

Not everyone took the jokes lightly…

Viewers were divided after Dr Amir Khan was accused of making an “inappropriate” joke to host Christine Lampard on Lorraine today.

On Friday’s (July 11) show, Christine went live with Dr Amir while he was in Bradford. He appeared on the show to warn viewers about the first hosepipe ban of the year.

However, it was a playful joke that left those at home a little uneasy…

While talking from the Ilkley Pool and Lido in Bradford, Dr Amir said the location had been impacted by the ban that the Yorkshire council had put in place.

While expressing his upset over the ban, the segment took an unexpected turn when Dr Amir showed off his shorts, which had Christine’s face plastered all over them.

Bursting into laughter, Christine found the attire hilarious.

“I’ve been waiting my whole life to have you near my nether region,” Dr Amir remarked while Christine continued to giggle.

“That may have made my morning!” Christine said. “I hope they’re waterproof!” she added.

Christine and Dr Amir then discussed how the nation could keep cool during the extreme weather conditions. One of his suggestions included filling a hot water bottle with ice and putting it between your legs at night.

“I’m having a lot of fun in between my legs today, Christine,” he said while demonstrating in the same shorts. Christine looked horrified before continuing to laugh.

While Christine didn’t appear offended, viewers were a little unsure about Dr Amir’s jokes this morning…

    ‘Totally inappropriate’

#Lorraine Amir inappropriate much with Christine! I can’t believe it of him! Especially after the whole Greg Wallace debacle,” one user wrote on X.

“Couldn’t believe what he was saying, totally inappropriate,” another person shared.

#Lorraine well that innuendo was very embarrassing,” a third remarked.

However, some came to Dr Amir’s defense. Despite never confirming his sexuality, one user said: “He’s gay, so it’s ok.”

Viewers were also happy to see Christine on the show in good spirits. “Thank the lord Christine is back, the show has improved 100%,” another insisted.

Davina McCall’s ‘heartache’ over split from ex as she rules out marriage to boyfriend Michael: ‘She refuses to ruin it’

She doesn’t want to ‘rock the boat’ on their ‘healthy’ relationship by saying ‘I do’ again

Davina McCall won’t marry her hairdresser boyfriend Michael Douglas, it’s been claimed, after fearing history will repeat itself and their romance will end in divorce.

TV presenter Davina has been married twice before, while Michael has also been through a divorce.

And, following the end of her marriage to Pet Rescue presenter Matthew Robertson, with whom she shares three children, Davina is sworn off walking down the aisle for a third time.

Davina McCall ‘rules out marriage to boyfriend Michael

Speaking to OK!, a source claimed Davina has “vowed” not to say “I do” for the third time.

“After her marriage to Matthew ended, Davina vowed she wouldn’t get married again, especially as it was her second divorce – and she wants to stick to that. There were many reasons she split with Matthew, ones she’ll never go properly into. But it made her realise that marriage is not for her and didn’t make her happy in the end.”

The source continued: “There was so much heartache when they split, as not only did they have to deal with the breakdown of their relationship, they had to do all the horrible legal stuff. It’s hard to stay amicable, even if they’d both wanted to. Divorce lawyers are nasty and she just can’t go through that again.”

    ‘She refuses to ruin it’

They also said that Davina “doesn’t want to rock the boat” by tying the knot again. And she’s worried that they might “marry then split” and she “refuses to ruin” things with Michael, who is the resident hairdresser on Katie Piper’s Weekend Escape.

“Davina herself admits that they don’t want to rock the boat by getting married again. It’s such a healthy and happy relationship and they can’t stand the thought of ever hurting each other, which is what might happen if they marry and then split. It would be no benefit to anyone. This is the happiest she’s been and she refuses to ruin it.”

    ‘Let’s not rock the boat’

The presenter recently opened up about the prospect of marrying Michael. She said it’s “not even on the table”.

She explained: “That’s not even on the table, it’s just not. He’s been [married before] so we both just feel like we are happy, let’s not rock the boat. Let’s just keep things on the down-low.”

Soap star Bobby Brazier has spoken about his brother Freddy Brazier following reports of tension within their family. The EastEnders actor shared his thoughts on his younger sibling.

Freddy, 20, is said to have a strained relationship with their father, Jeff Brazier, 46, at the moment. It’s previously been reported that he left the family home and moved in with his maternal grandmother Jackiey Budden, 68.

He was said to have missed birthday celebrations for his older brother Bobby, 22, last month amid the rumoured rift. Freddy later expressed interest in going to rehab for “smoking” before saying he had changed his mind.

Bobby has now suggested that his brother has growing up to do. The actor, who, like Freddy, was just a child when their mother Jade Goody died in 2009, however, described him as a “good boy” in an interview released today.

Speaking to the Sun, Bobby said that Freddy is “very sensitive” and “wants to please” people. He continued: “When he grows up a little bit, that will serve him well.”

Bobby added: “There are things I don’t like about him and there are things about me he doesn’t like.” He concluded: “Freddy will be OK I don’t know if he looks up to me, but I look up to him in many ways, but he’s a good boy.”

The comments come following much speculation over the family in recent months. Earlier this year, it was reported that Jeff had launched legal proceedings to stop Freddy Brazier – from seeing his late reality TV star Jade’s mother Jackiey.

More recently, Freddy announced last month that he was planning to go to rehab, with him sharing at the time that he had been addicted to “smoking”. As reported at the time, he wrote: “I’ve decided that I will be cutting down and I want to go to Rehab In Marbs as I feel if I’m in England I won’t take getting clean seriously.

“I’ve been smoking from the age of 12 and it’s time to stop. It was a bad coping mechanism that turned into an addiction, something I relied on and something that made me feel sane and some what OK.

“I’ve found a boxing club and a rehabilitation centre. Ive found someone I want to get to know and I’m happy. I got a good bunch of friends and I [want to] get out and enjoy myself. I want to be clean so I can live happily and have healthy relationships with people and be there for all of my family rather then feeling like I’m in the middle and have to choose a side.”

He added: “I haven’t been able to feel loved properly as I have never loved myself and it starts now. I want to play football and take up boxing I want to be happy and be in a healthy relationship and have a healthy relationship with my Nana and my father.”

Amid speculation about his family, he said: “Every day is a new story about me and my Nana and father. It’s getting boring now. Mind your business and have a good rest of the week.”

He however later suggested otherwise. As reported last month, he wrote in a subsequent post on social media: “You know what I don’t need rehab! I just need a holiday with a good group of boys or a retreat.”

ITV chef James Martin appears to be so scared of crime of London he now takes a protection dog with him on trips to the capital. It comes after yobs smashed the rear windscreen of his car in broad daylight earlier this year, and he says other friends have been targeted there.

The Saturday Morning star posted a pic of him with one of his dogs, a Belgian Malinois, in a “working dog” harnass. He posted alongside the pic: “London.”

Earlier this year the 52-year-old pledged to go to London next time with one of his dogs. He said as well as his car being targeted he revealed “two of my friends’ cars got stolen, one other mate got mugged and nowI had this happen – all in broad daylight, all in central London,”

He added: “London is broken big time… next time I’m bringing the Malis,’, which refers to his two Belgian Malinois dogs. As well as his cookery show, he has presented James Martin’s Great British Adventure, Islands to Highlands and James Martin’s French Adventure. He has also published over 20 best-selling cook books.

However, he endured a bout with facial cancer in 2018. In November 2023, he announced he was taking a “little break from work” for several months of further treatment.

Speaking to audiences while on tour, he said: “For me personally, I’ve been through a lot of s**t with cancer but I’m getting sorted at the end of next month. I will be back fighting at the end of February but I’m going on a little bit of a break to get that sorted.

“I just wanted to say thank you for all your support and all your messages.” Recently, fans of the chef have been left disappointed after he announced he will no longer appear at the Yorkshire Dales Food & Drink Festival just days before the event. James wrote: “I’m so sorry but unfortunately, due to circumstances outside of my control, I will no longer be appearing at the Yorkshire Dales Food & Drink Festival.”

James had been one of the headline names expected at the festival, which is set to take place from July 18 to 20 at Aireville Park in Skipton. The popular event was launched in 2016 but didn’t run last year, so attendees have been looking forward to this summer’s comeback featuring music acts such as The Feeling and Go West.
