  • John Torode was ‘offered lifeline’ after saying ‘worst racial slur’ there is, claims Richard Osman

John Torode was ‘offered lifeline’ after saying ‘worst racial slur’ there is, claims Richard Osman

Richard was working for the MasterChef production company at the time of the allegations…

Earlier this week, John Torode was axed by bosses at BBC series MasterChef after being accused of using racist language in an incident in 2018/19.

Now, Richard Osman, who was creative director of Endemol Shine – part of MasterChef production company Banijay – at the time, has claimed that John was given a lifeline after the allegation made against him was upheld.

    John Torode sacked from MasterChef

Earlier this week, a report into Gregg Wallace’s behaviour revealed that an allegation of racism against an unnamed MasterChef star had been upheld. John then revealed in a statement that he was the star accused of making a racist remark. However, he maintained that he had no recollection of the incident and wasn’t sure it even happened.

In a statement on Tuesday (July 15), the BBC announced that John’s contract at MasterChef wouldn’t be renewed.

“John Torode has identified himself as having an upheld allegation of using racist language against him. This allegation – which involves an extremely offensive racist term being used in the workplace – was investigated and substantiated by the independent investigation led by the law firm, Lewis Silkin,” they said.

“John Torode denies the allegation. He has stated he has no recollection of the alleged incident and does not believe that it happened. He also says that any racial language is wholly unacceptable in any environment.”

The statement then continued. “The BBC takes this upheld finding extremely seriously. We will not tolerate racist language of any kind. And, as we have already said, we told Banijay UK, the makers of MasterChef, that action must be taken. John Torode’s contract on MasterChef will not be renewed.”

John later claimed: “Although I haven’t heard from anyone at the BBC or Banijay – I am seeing and reading that I’ve been ‘sacked’ from MasterChef and I repeat that I have no recollection of what I’m accused of.”

It was initially reported that the BBC and Banijay asked John to resign over the weekend. They also allegedly told him to pretend he had mental health issues after being accused of racism. However, he refused.

Richard Osman reveals BBC offered John Torode a lifeline after racial ‘slur’

Now, Richard Osman, who was the creative director of Banijay’s Endemol Shine from the early 2000s until 2020, has alleged that John was offered a lifeline by the company.

Speaking on his The Rest is Entertainment podcast, he claimed: “They took John Torode aside, this was my understanding of the whole situation, and said: ‘We believe that this happened. We believe that you used this language.’ He denied it.

“They said to him – whether this was the BBC or Banijay – they said to him: ‘We will accept if you want to take a year off, you have to do a mandatory training course to understand and accept that this is not something we particularly want in our workplace,” he then alleged.

    Richard Osman on his podcast
Richard claims John Torode used the ‘worst racial slur’ there is (Credit: The Rest is Entertainment / YouTube)

‘I didn’t do it in the first place’

The star then continued. “That was denied. He said: ‘Of course I’m not going to do that. I didn’t do this in the first place anyway so why would I ever do this?’

“John Torode said: ‘The first I knew about it was I read it in the papers.’ And my understanding is that’s not true – the first thing he knew about it was when he was told it,” he then claimed.

Richard also hit back at claims that John was asked to quit and pretend he had mental health issues.

He used, I think, probably the worst racial slur there is. And they found that to be substantively true.

“The only conversation was: ‘We believe this happened. We will give you a second chance, a lifeline, which is you take a year, you take a series off, you go and do something, talk to people who maybe persuade you that this is not the way to act in a certain workplace.’ And he said that he was not prepared to do that,” he alleged.

“And by the way, there’s all sorts of things that weren’t upheld because they couldn’t say for certain they believed it happened. But, you know, on this particular occasion, it’s not woke gone mad,” he then claimed.

Richard also said show bosses wanted him to go on a training course about his use of language. John is said said to have turned that down too.

    ‘Worst racial slur there is’

Richard then alleged: “You know, he used, I think, probably the worst racial slur there is. And they found that to be substantively true. They found evidence that they were happy with — that that was true.

“He is saying: ‘I definitely didn’t do it. I certainly can’t remember it,’ but that one was upheld.”

There are now claims online that John used the N-word. He denies the allegations.

ED! has contacted John’s representatives, aswell as the BBC and Banijay for comment.

Prince Harry’s bitter realisation about life with Meghan in telling recent trip

Prince Harry has made a surprise trip without Meghan Markle to Angola with one of his charities – and one expert believes it speaks volumes about how he regards his work five years after quitting the Royal Family

Prince Harry’s unannounced trip to Angola to follow in the footsteps of his late mother certainly caused surprise. It was only revealed that Harry was in the African country, where he visited a minefield, echoing a visit by Princess Diana shortly before her death, after he landed earlier this week.

He travelled to Angola as a patron of landmine clearance charity the Halo Trust and spoke to families in a remote village near Africa’s largest minefield while there. Harry made the trip solo, leaving Meghan at home in California with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, with sources citing safety concerns over why the Duke of Sussex made the visit alone.

It also proves a marked change from the work Harry first started pursuing after he and Meghan quit their royal roles and chased entertainment deals with the likes of Netflix and Spotify.

But for royal expert Jennie Bond, this type of work, such as highlighting the scourge of landmines, is the type of work Harry is best placed to carry out.

The former BBC royal correspondent told the Mirror : “I think this is precisely the sort of work that Harry should do. It is not only a hugely worthwhile cause, but it also connects him with his mother, which is something he yearns for.

“I think he is coming to recognise that the LA celebrity world is one in which he is not especially comfortable. And he seems quite willing to let Meghan take the limelight over there. He speaks frequently about a life of service, and trips like this certainly serve a very good cause indeed.”

On the trip, Harry was highlighting the threat of the munitions in Angola, the same nation Diana, Princess of Wales, visited in 1997 to urge the world to ban the weapons. Months before she died in a car crash, Diana, wearing a protective visor and vest, walked through a minefield being cleared by the Halo Trust.

She strode through a cleared path in a Huambo minefield, and the images of her in body armour and a mask gave the anti-landmine campaign global recognition.

And Jennie added: “I was with Diana in Angola all those years ago, and the impact she made by walking across a minefield was enormous. She told me that she was simply trying to be a humanitarian, and that is something Harry can also aspire to.

“I remember her befriending a 13-year-old girl called Sandra as she went through the pain of having yet another prosthetic limb fitted. Her leg had been blown off by a landmine. Years later, Harry met Sandra in Angola and reflected on all his mother had done.

“Sadly, despite all the publicity the Princess’s trip engendered for the cause, landmines remain a scourge in Angola. So I think it’s brilliant that Harry is continuing her work – and keeping her memory alive.”

Meanwhile, Harry, who also echoed Diana in a 2019 visit to an Angolan minefield, said: “Children should never have to live in fear of playing outside or walking to school. Here in Angola, over three decades later, the remnants of war still threaten lives every day.”

It is estimated that at least 60,000 people have been killed or injured by landmines in Angola since 2008, the Halo Trust said. The trust has cleared more than 120,000 landmines and 100,000 bombs from the country. Diana spoke out against the sale and use of landmines and famously called for an international ban on them during her 1997 trip.

On Harry’s latest trip, the Halo Trust said: “This renewed commitment builds on previous support from the Angolan government, which was first highlighted when the duke visited the country in 2019 to retrace the path of his late mother. That visit showcased how once-dangerous land could be transformed into a safe and thriving community.”

EastEnders’ Phil Mitchell faces worrying triple setback following mental health storyline

It was an emotional night for Phil Mitchell in EastEnders tonight as he discovered Callum and Johnny’s affair in explosive scenes just one day after Nigel’s departure

At the start of this year, EastEnders fans witnessed a devastating mental health storyline involving Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) as he was admitted to a mental health unit.

In March, Phil was discharged from the unit, and fans have seen him slowly get back to his usual self. Phil spent most of his time caring for his friend Nigel Bates who had been diagnosed with dementia, and in recent weeks, viewers had seen the smile back on Phil’s face.

However, things have come crashing down for Phil this week, realised Callum was cheating on Ben,As Jay contacted Nigel’s wife Julie, she came to Walford and took him back to Scotland with her. A devastated Phil couldn’t bear to say goodbye to his friend, as he left in a black cab.

During tonight’s episode, it was evident Phil was struggling with Nigel’s departure as he snapped at Kathy in the café. Although things looked up as he received a pep talk from his friend Linda, things took a drastic turn when he caught his son in law Callum with Johnny upstairs in the pub.

Phil’s anger got the better of him as he realised Callum was cheating on Ben, as he lashed out and attempted to strangle Johnny. “That’s my son’s husband you’re messing with, do you understand me?!” he screamed as he had his hands around Johnny’s neck.

However, it wasn’t just Callum Johnny Phil lashed out at as he questioned Linda on how long she’d been “letting these two bunk up” in the pub. Jay and Billy were also on hand trying to calm Phil down but Jay is also in Phil’s bad books after he contacted Julie without consulting him first.

Towards the end of the episode, a raging Phil told Jay and Callum he was going to tell Ben that Callum had been “playing away.”

    Phil and Johnny

Still reeling from his discovery, Phil told the pair: “I think it’s about time Lexi lived with her real family, you know. Someone who’s got his own place, who’s a blood relative. Who’s willing and able to take on his granddaughter.”

“I’m Lexi’s guardian, that’s what Lola wanted,” Jay responded. However, Phil wasn’t having any of it as he told Jay: “But Lola ain’t here, is she?”

As Jay stormed out, Callum told Phil he couldn’t do that, to which he responded: “Watch me.”

However, fans aren’t convinced Phil will actually go through with it, as one took to X, formerly known as Twitter to write: “Phil won’t really take Lexi away (she’s 13 now so it wouldn’t go to court & she’d just be asked where she wasn’t to live). He’s angry & feels like Jay has taken away the only thing he had left, so wants to take away the only thing JAY feels he has left in return.”

However, now Phil seems to have pushed Jay, Callum and Linda away – and Nigel has gone back to Scotland, fans are worried about his mental health. We last saw him isolate himself when he was struggling.

“EE wanting Phil to have absolutely no one is testing me. Everyone has THE WORST timing #EastEnders,” said one.

How will the future pan out for Phil?

TV presenter Vanessa Feltz appeared to take a subtle swipe at her ex fiance Ben Ofoedu after he exchanged vows with her new partner Vanessa Brown earlier this week

Vanessa Feltz appeared to take a subtle swipe at her ex Ben Ofoedu following his marriage to another woman this week. The TV presenter, 63, and the Phats and Small singer, 53, were engaged and ready for marriage before calling time on their relationship.

Instead, the musician has now tied the knot with Vanessa Brown, leaving Vanessa to seemingly throw slight shade in his direction. The duo were together for 16 years before Ben pulled the plug on their pairing in 2023. Now, just weeks after proposing again, Ben is a married man.

And while appearing on her live Channel 5 chat show Vanessa couldn’t resist a sharp comment. It comes after Ben seemingly made a dig of his own. Following his ceremony at a stunning Cumbria castle, he explained how his nuptials were “a new beginning” and said: “I wasted 17 years of my life.”

Following Ben’s own dig, Vanessa struck back as she spoke with Carrie and David Grant, former Strictly star James Jordan and her daughter, Saskia Joss.

While the group discussed spouses, James said it “always worked” when he linked up with professional dancer wife Ola. Carrie and Saskia also gushed about their working dynamics, but it left Vanessa to joke: “And I’m sitting here single, single and all alone.”

Despite quickly moving on during the live show, Vanessa hinted it may not have been the end of it between the guests. She teased there had been “censored” discussion between the group during an ad break.

While she didn’t reveal what had been said, the guests were seen chuckling as the show came to a close.

Speaking MailOnline following his big day, Ben said: “I have always wanted to be married since I was seven years old. I always wanted to be with someone who would take my surname.

    Vanessa Brown and Ben Ofoedu

“I almost gave up on marriage, thinking there wasn’t a lady that would walk down the aisle for me. I can’t believe the day has come, it is a dream come true. It feels like I’ve been waiting for this moment all my life. This is the finale of the chapter that was 17 years of my life.”

Vanessa previously tied the knot with surgeon Michael Kurer back in 1983. Their marriage ended in divorce in 2000 after they had welcomed daughters Allegra and Saskia. They also now have four grandchildren.

Vanessa and Ben had initially planned to walk down the aisle together in 2007. However, they remained engaged before they called it quits over 15 years later. Shortly after their separation, Vanessa opened up on This Morning about coping with the split.

She said at the time: “People have been amazing. Absolutely amazing, and of course it helps a lot. I can’t sleep at all, so reading thousands and thousands of messages from lovely people on Instagram is something to do in the night.”

She added: “When you have to end a relationship it’s very hard. I’ve had what feels like millions of messages from so, so many people going through it.

“I wouldn’t want to minimise in any way what it’s like when you’re heartbroken. It’s horrible.”

Katie Price has continued to take aim at her ex husband Peter Andre as she revealed their daughter Princess has moved out of her home. The former glamour model, 47, dropped the bombshell that she was banned from seeing her daughter at her 18th birthday celebration earlier this month.

She had raised concerned she had snubbed the milestone birthday as she headed to Ibiza and Dubai, while Princess was celebrating back home. However, Katie later claimed she was banned from attending because her eldest daughter is filming a documentary.

Princess is embarking on her own glitzy showbiz career and has landed herself her own ITV show. The teenager decided to film her birthday celebration, resulting in Katie not being able to attend as it is being made by her ex Peter’s production company.

Princess’ new show will focus on her life with dad Peter and her step mum Emily as well as brother Junior. The company, Can Associates, were behind Katie and Pete’s mega money ITV show but the former glamour model has since fallen out with them.

Due to the show, Princess has moved out of Katie’s home so she can film with her dad instead. Katie revealed she currently has an empty nest at home as Princess is now away at Pete’s house and son Junior has moved into a flat with his girlfriend.

“I am not even allowed to breathe near the documentary, she has been predominantly staying at her dads while she is filming,” Katie fumed on her Katie Price Show podcast.

She explained her daughter will return to her home as she added: “Princess will live with me it’s only because she has been filming that she has been at Pete’s because I am not allowed anywhere near it. She has only got about two weeks left of filming.”

On a previous episode of her podcast, Katie fiercely hit out at her ex Pete over their daughter. She quipped: “Princess is now officially an adult so mummy and Princess can now go out together. If certain people would let her be seen with me.”

The mum-of-five continued: “Everyone knows she’s doing this documentary – and I’m not in it. Certain people don’t think it’s good for Princess to be seen with me. Certain people that used to look after me.”

Her sister Sophie told her: “You aren’t on brand Katie. You are too risky Katie that’s why,” but Katie hit back: “It’s pathetic. I’m her mother.” She added: “It’s so sad. When certain people who used to look after me are now looking after…”

Katie went on to explain the reason for her not attending Princess’ birthday bash as she fumed: “I’m just saying. Princess was like ‘I’m having a party’. And I wasn’t invited because it was for ‘filming.’”

“Oh of course it was!” said Sophie sarcastically, “I wonder what restaurant did that for free.” Katie snapped: “Of course mummy wasn’t invited because it was for filming.”

She went on: “The fact is there’s stuff my daughter is doing and I’m not allowed to be seen at any of it. Certain people who are filming Princess’ documentary used to do my filming. It’s fine, it’s just there’s always conflict of interest. People will cotton on to this. So we do have to do something for Princess’ 18th.”

Danny Miller has become a dad again after his wife Steph welcomed the couple’s first child. The family shared an adorable video of their eldest children meeting the new baby

Emmerdale star Danny Miller has become a dad again after his wife Steph welcomed their third child. The actor – who recently returned to the ITV soap as Aaron Dingle – and his wife have announced the arrival of their son.

The couple already have Albert & Edith together but have now added another baby to their brood and they shared an adorable video of the kids meeting their little brother. In the adorable clip, the children held their baby brother and gave him kisses as they welcomed him into the world. Danny also appeared in the clip with his newborn son.

Alongside the video, he wrote: “When 4 became 5 … The one where Albert & Edith meet their new baby brother.” His co-stars reacted to the exciting news, with Isabel Hodgins (Victoria Sugden) writing: “So cute!!! Congrats guys.” Michelle Hardwick – who plays Vanessa on the ITV soap – added: “Ahhh congratulations to you all.”

Just recently, Danny revealed that three children was enough for him and Steph. He said: “Three is definitely the magic number – and probably the last one! My job is very demanding, and we’re a few hours away from family, so it’s not easy, but we’re excited. We’ve got two beautiful children already. It just feels like we’re completing the family.”

Danny also insisted that fatherhood hasn’t changed his work ethics. Speaking about his supportive partner, he added: “Steph is so supportive, even when it means long hours or being away. We work it out together and are more selective about what makes sense to pursue, but she holds the fort incredibly well.

“Any parent would feel that guilt. You miss moments. But thanks to camera phones and videos, you still get to see a lot. When I’m home, it’s about being truly present – work can wait until tomorrow. Family is always the priority.”

Asked how he would feel if his kids decided to follow in his footsteps, he said: “I’ll support whatever they want to do. Albert is very creative – he loves performing and dancing. Edith follows him around, too. They’ve got such a special bond and I love seeing that. Whatever they choose, we’ll be fully behind them.”

Danny and Steph made the decision not to find out the gender of their baby before its arrival. He explained: “We never actually find out. We like it to be a surprise. There aren’t many surprises left in life – this is the best kind of natural surprise you can get.”

Victoria Coren Mitchell has shared a rare glimpse into her home life with husband David Michell and their children. The Only Connect host has two daughters – Barbara, 10, and June, two – with David, 51, and they have always shielded them from the public spotlight.

But Victoria, 52, has revealed their bundles of joy have TV programmes they never want to miss – including one that Barbara loves just like her mum.

She told the new issue of Radio Times magazine: “My 10 year old loves The Masked Singer and old episodes of Poirot, just like her mother. The baby doesn’t have any screen time; she’s only 18 months old.

“She loves Bluey – an excellent TV show – but she doesn’t know it’s a TV show. She just thinks it’s a source of really great plastic dog Weebles.”

Victoria writes a weekly television column in the Saturday Telegraph, but she will never criticize bad actors because they are trying their best to entertain people.

Asked how she stays unbiased when she has to review a programme that Peep Show star David, 51, has been in, such as the BBC One detective dramedy series Ludwig, Victoria explained: “Well, I’m not a critic.

“When Ludwig came out, I just wrote a column about puzzles, but I knew it was a great series. I tend not to write about bad shows – I can’t see any joy in attacking people who are trying to entertain.

“Mind you, I hated Squid Game and said so. But they seem to have soldiered on without my approval.” Victoria has received lots of feedback from viewers who watch the BBC Two game show Only Connect, in which teams compete by finding connections between unrelated clues.

However, one letter criticising her comments on “a man’s bottom” has stuck with her. Asked what her most memorable piece of feedback has been, Victoria said: “I’ve never forgotten a letter from a few years ago.

“We get all sorts of feedback – be it on a translation, or a clarification of parliamentary procedure. This chap asked, ‘Why is it acceptable for Victoria Coren Mitchell to comment on a man’s bottom?’ I’m not even sure I had.”

Last summer, Victoria and David were all smiles on a rare night out together without their children. It marked one of their first public appearances together since their surprise baby announcement 10 months earlier.

Victoria had shared the couple’s happy news on social media back in November 2023. Taking to X, Victoria posted: “Many people are assuming my tweet yesterday was a Halloween costume.

“Not at all; last week I had a baby and nothing currently fits me except cloaks. Luckily, Only Connect is a pre-record. Happy All Saints Day.”

David also addressed their new arrival in a short but sweet comment on the social media platform, posting under a tweet that read: “A huge congratulations to @RealDMitchell and @VictoriaCoren on the birth of their second child,” he said: “Thank you! We’re very happy.”

Loose Women’s Charlene White has spilled the beans about a cheeky habit of one her co-stars during live broadcasts of the popular ITV show.

“We’ll be having a discussion about something or other and she’ll just be writing something on a piece of paper and slip it over to me live on air.” The contents of these notes, according to Charlene, are usually inappropriate bits of gossip that leave her struggling to maintain her composure.

She added: “I might glance down at it and it will be some inappropriate bit of gossip that she really shouldn’t be telling me, and then I’ve got to keep a straight face and I’m like hmmm, and then carry on talking meanwhile I can see her internally absolutely killing herself laughing.”

Alongside this revelation, Charlene also shared how she made her transition into chat show TV, telling Caroline: “My entire career has sort of been me sat there going ‘what do I want to do? I want to do this’ and then I’ll figure out a way to do it.”

“I just think it’s one of the most incredible shows I’ve ever worked on.”

Loose Women star Coleen Nolan has opened up about her financial fears as she nears her 60th birthday in March.

Coleen expressed how she feels empowered and confident stepping into a new decade but confessed that money matters are still a source of stress. She divulged: “I’m turning 60 feeling strong and confident, and quite proud of what of what I’ve achieved, especially in the past few years when I’ve achieved it on my own.”

“Of course, I still lie in bed at night worrying about how I’m going to pay the bills, but it gives me the incentive to work hard, and that’s good.”

With finances in mind, Coleen is opting for a more subdued 60th birthday celebration compared to her lavish 40th and 50th parties. She continued to explain to Closer UK: “My 40th and 50th birthdays were big events, but they cost a lot of money, so this year I just want to be surrounded by friends and family, even they come here for a little party,” as reported by Lancs Live.

A veteran Loose Women panelist since 2000, Coleen cherishes the close relationships with her ITV colleagues, admitting: “We’re good friends, as well as colleagues.” Coleen also admitted the likes of Ruth Langsford, Janet Street-Porter, Brenda Edwards and Christine Lampard will remain “friends forever” outside of the studio.

Celebrating the hit chat show’s 25th anniversary, she reflected on her affection for the programme and addressed the rumoured behind-the-scenes tension, clarifying: “If we hated each other as much some people say we do, we wouldn’t still be going 25 years later.”

Coleen spent her festive period with her sister Linda, who is heartbreakingly living with incurable cancer. During OK!’s exclusive photoshoot, Linda revealed her New Year’s Eve plans with her sisters. She aid: “There’s a big New Year’s Eve party at Coleen’s. She’s booked us all into a hotel up the road, so it should be great fun.”

Linda – who has moved in with her sister Denise and her husband Tom – she continues to live with the disease that also took the life of her beloved sister Bernie in 2013 at the age of 52. “I try to stay positive,” she insisted. “I’ll use jokes and humour as a way to cope, but of course it’s scary. And I have my days where I’m terribly down.” It’s been 50 years since Linda first rose to fame in The Nolans, selling 30 million records with hits such as Attention To Me, Gotta Pull Myself Together and I’m In The Mood For Dancing. It’s clear the support of her siblings has been a huge help to Linda, who lost her husband Brian to liver cancer in 2007.

Coleen Rooney won over the nation when she appeared on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!, a spell which has reportedly sparked a bidding war as broadcasters are “desperate” to snap her up.

Wayne Rooney is set to become a “house husband” as Coleen is “in the driving seat” as the family star.

The 39-year-old former England footballer left his job at Plymouth Argyle on Tuesday. The club announced they “mutually agreed to part ways” with their manager as they sat bottom of English football’s second tier.

And while Wayne may now be facing a spell out of work, Coleen’s popularity has soared as she came second to McFly’s Danny Jones on I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! last month. The show is often seen as a commercial springboard for celebrities.

It is another big win for Coleen who has had a rollercoaster couple of years following her High Court dispute with Rebekah Vardy. According to The Telegraph, Coleen’s appearance on I’m a Celeb has sparked a number of high-profile broadcasting offers.

Coleen, 38, is reported to have been paid £1.5 million to enter the jungle. The star is now said to be the centre of a bidding war as broadcasters are said to be “desperate” to sign her up.

An insider told Closer: “ITV are the frontrunners to get her for Loose Women and she would love to do it, but Netflix are now coming in with some big-money offers – we’re talking offers of well over £1 million.”

And with Wayne set to return home to his wife and children at their Cheshire home, he could now take on the role of “house husband” as Coleen “takes the driving seat,” reports The Telegraph. The publication says Wayne is “unlikely” to move into punditry full-time, claiming he “lacks the telegenic fluency” of the likes of Gary Lineker.

Manchester United’s record goalscorer could however make another move into management in the future. He has already had spells in charge of Derby County, DC United in Major League Soccer, and Birmingham City.

The Sun however claims Wayne’s future looks set to be in the media as the star has been offered a lucrative move into punditry. It would see Wayne making a similar move to fellow Liverpudlian Jamie Carragher or ex-Manchester United defender Gary Neville who have become popular figures on Sky Sports.

An insider said: “Wayne is regarded as one of the best pundits in the business.

“He’s very, very knowledgeable about the game. And even though he’s actually quite a shy person, he really feels at home in a TV studio.”

The Mirror previously reported the family could also feature in a Kardashians-like reality TV show. It would star Wayne and Coleen along with Kai 14, Klay 11, Kit eight, and Cass, six.

The concept is said to have gained interest from both Amazon and Disney. An insider said: “It was all set to be Disney’s and then Amazon appeared in the frame. That has sent the fee up. It looks now like the show will go to Disney, but there’s still time.

“Coleen’s time on I’m a Celeb has made her the nation’s sweetheart, even if she didn’t win. The British public can’t get enough of her. Her profile is bigger than ever and the fee for her family’s reality show will reflect that.”
