Adam Thomas has shared a picture of himself on the set of Emmerdale set as he tells fans ‘I’m back’ seven years after leaving the ITV soap

Former Emmerdale star Adam Thomas has teased fans with a picture of himself on the set of Emmerdale, seven years after leaving the ITV soap.

The fan favourite, who played Adam Barton on the ITV soap between 2009 and 2018, took to his Instagram this morning to share a photo of himself with the iconic sign. “I’m BACK!!!!” he wrote.

Adam’s post sent fans wild, with one writing: “Is this true? Please be true!!!” as a second fan penned: “I really hope this is true as you were my favourite Barton ever!!!!!!!”

However, the Mirror understands there’s currently no return planned for Adam, and he was on set for another reason. Many fans weren’t falling for the prankster’s post – as they predict he’s there for another show.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan wrote: “They were filming the new series of You Bet! On Tour in the village yesterday so it might be that.”

The Mirror have contacted Emmerdale for comment.

The character was last seen on screen in Janurary 2018, after confessing to the murder of Emma Barton in order to protect the real killer – his mum Moira Dingle. On the day of his sentencing Aaron and Cain Dingle turned up and broke Adam out of the prison van, and is thought to be living abroad.

The 36-year-old is currently starring as Donte Charles in BBC One’s Waterloo Road, and recently launched new game show 99 To Beat with his brother, Ryan Thomas.

Despite there currently being no plans for Adam’s return, his brother Ryan Thomas recently reprised his role as Jason Grimshaw in ITV soap Coronation Street for his onscreen mother Eileen Grimshaw’s (Sue Cleaver) exit.

The star returned to the soap for a short stint, as his mother Eileen left Weatherfield after 25 years to start a new life in Thailand with her son. Sue revealed she rang Jason to ask him to come back for her exit, an offer he couldn’t decline.

“It took me half a day to get rid of the nerves. It was a bit of a shock to the system at first. I even went on YouTube to rewatch old scenes and got nervous.” Ryan said.

However, it didn’t take him long to get back into the swing of things, with fans left gutted when he made his exit once again after the short stint.

Laura’s ex broke into her car and followed her to and from work. He bombarded her with hundreds of unwanted messages. She moved house to get rid of him. He found out where she lives, and stands outside at night, watching.

“This has been going on for four years,” she says. “There doesn’t seem to be an ending. When we split up, my neighbours told me that he used to turn up at my door and look through the kitchen window at seven in the morning. He was sending me 200 messages a day.

“I even had holes in my back fence and every time I covered them up, more appeared. When I went around the back, you could see straight into my living room. I had a note left at my house that said ‘caught in my trap’. Now I am checking my cameras outside all the time because he is watching me. He keeps turning up at like three or four in the morning and I catch him on my Ring doorbell.

“The person I am seeing is standing there anywhere between 30 minutes to an hour and a half. They are just stood there and then they disappear. I am convinced it is him. I cannot think of anyone else like a passer-by or a dog walker… they would not just stand there for an hour staring at the house in the middle of the night.”

Laura’s nightly reality would be enough to break most people. For Love Island star turned filmmaker Zara McDermott, one night at Laura’s place was more than enough. In her forthcoming BBC mini-series To Catch a Stalker, Zara admits: “I could not relax. I could not sleep. This is how some women live every single day. It would absolutely destroy me.

“Even the creaking sound of the house is freaking me out a bit.” Zara, 28, wanted to reflect the reality facing thousands of women in the UK who live in fear for their lives because of the actions of a stalker.

Zara with Laura when they spend the night together

Laura’s ex has already been convicted twice for stalking and was given a suspended sentence. When Zara visited, he was out on bail having been arrested for breaching the terms of the suspended sentence.

The former reality star – who has never experienced what it is like being stalked – offers to spend the night and keep watch in case the figure returns, and is warned to dial 999 immediately if she spots someone.

Zara admits: “I want to keep her company for the evening. I am really interested in getting an understanding as to what she has been going through.

“I am staying the night to keep an eye on the door bell so Laura gets the chance for a good night’s sleep. But I almost jumped at my own reflection and I feel a bit paranoid in this house.”

Later, Zara says: “It’s nearly 2am. Laura has given me access to her cameras and I can’t relax because I am waiting for this figure to appear.” Zara is relieved to report the next morning that the figure did not appear across the street.

But she tells Laura: “I didn’t sleep much. I spent most of the night checking the camera. But it makes you realise how distinctive that figure on your screenshots is. It is undoubtedly someone because it is so pitch black.”

Anxious Laura struggles to hide her tears as she tells Zara exactly how her ex has turned her life upside down with his creepy behaviour. She says: “It is quite unpredictable but through the six-week holidays it was about eight times.

“I had to move here because of it. Before I’d stay at my sister’s every other weekend, just because I did not feel safe at home. Then a vehicle that is very similar to his started driving past my sister’s house at 2am.

“You know it is him but it’s not like he is knocking on the door and waving at the window – which is what the police need.

“So I think this is why it is so difficult to get him charged. I am lucky that he has already been charged with stalking but I don’t want to move again because he is just going to keep finding where I live.”

In Zara’s documentary, Laura adds: “Although I am not with him, I feel my life is still controlled around him and I think that is what I find most frustrating and quite scary because how can you escape?”

She tells Zara after her stay: “It is nice to have someone who has experienced it. I feel believed – which is very rare when you are stalked.”

Zara discovers Laura’s ordeal could have some positive resolution if the offender is given a stalking prevention order. The police can apply for this civil order to protect anyone at risk of stalking, and it does not require the same standard of proof as a criminal conviction.

An SPO can ban a stalker from going near a victim’s home or a place they often visit, and from contacting or approaching them.

In contrast with a restraining order, an SPO can also force a suspect to have a mental health assessment, sign on at a police station or attend an intervention programme.

The National Stalking Helpline has received over 75,000 contacts from victims of stalking since 2010. Anti-stalking charity the Suzy Lamplugh Trust, named after the estate agent who disappeared in 1986, says: “When many people hear the word stalking they still think of a stranger lurking in the shadows or a delusional fan following a celebrity. About 45% of people who contact the helpline are being stalked by ex-intimates and a further third have had a prior acquaintance with their stalker.

“Just because you know or knew the stalker does not mean that the situation is your fault – it is still stalking and it is wrong.”

A 2024 report found police forces often lack a sufficient understanding of stalking, conduct flawed investigations, fail to respond to breaches of orders and lack a consistent and effective strategy to support victims.

Latest figures say one in seven people aged 16 and over in England and Wales have been a victim of stalking at least once, with women and younger people the most targeted. An estimated 1.5 million people aged six years and over experienced stalking in the year ending March 2024. Among women, 20.2% have experienced stalking since the age of 16, as have 8.7% of men.

In the documentary, a Met Police detective tells Zara: “Many suspects have a pattern that is fixated and obsessive. He does not stop just because a victim changes her number. You can find their TikTok or Snapchat, we all leave a footprint.”

Zara adds: “The impact this crime has on its victims is truly devastating.

“I have seen women have to change their entire lives, their entire routine, but also live in constant fear.”

The documentary will be screened just days after a convicted stalker of singer Cheryl Tweedy admitted another breach of a restraining order after turning up at the singer’s home. Daniel Bannister pleaded guilty to a single charge of breaching a restraining order on Thursday.

Michelle Ryan has been spotted back filming on the EastEnders set for the first time just weeks after her character Zoe Slater made a surprise return to the soap

Michelle Ryan has been spotted back on the set of EastEnders for the first time since making her surprise return to the BBC soap just weeks ago.

Viewers were left in shock when Zoe made her return to the soap after 20 years, although she scarpered once again after a close run in with her mother Kat. During her brief stint earlier this month, Zoe was seen away from the Square in Stacey Slater’s (Lacey Turner’s) flat as Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) came to help.

Zoe then fled to Barcelona after a close run in with her mother Kat, as she revealed she was hiding a big secret that everyone would “hate her” for if they found out. Currently, Alfie is in Barcelona to try and bring Zoe back. It’s known Zoe will be returning to the Square later this year, with the first pictures of the star on set released.

    Michelle Ryan
Michelle has been pictured filming for Zoe’s return

In the pictures, Michelle could be seen filming on set with Sonny Kendall, who plays Kat Slater’s (Jessie Wallace) son, Tommy Moon. Zoe has never met her half-brother Tommy, but from the pictures, it looks like their first meeting could be happening very soon. As well as Tommy, Zoe also has half brothers Bert and Ernie, who she’s also yet to meet.

Fans can expect drama to go down when Zoe eventually does reunite with her mum Kat. The pair had a turbulent relationship, with which included revelations about Kat’s past and the truth about Zoe’s parentage. Despite a reconciliation, the pair’s relationship became fractured again and they now remained estranged.

However, Alfie hopes to bring the two back together by bringing Zoe back from Barcelona, although we could see dramatic scenes if his plan backfires. Keeping Zoe’s return a secret from his wife, Alfie told Kat he was off to Australia, as his brother Spencer needed help.

Kat is already becoming suspicious, as she was heard telling Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) that she hadn’t spoken to Alfie since he left – and Spencer had been acting weird when she called.

Prior to Alfie leaving, Kat was heard telling him that their relationship would be over for good if she found out he was lying about his whereabouts. Will Kat be able to forgive him? And how will her reunion with her daughter Zoe go down?

Zoe’s return marked the first episode for new Executive producer Ben Wadey, but it’s not the only legendary return we’ll be seeing. This week, it was announced that Karen Henthorn would be reprising her role as Julie Bates, as Nigel’s dementia gets progressively worse.

Speaking on Michelle Ryan’s return to the soap, Wadey said: “Before I even stepped into the role, Zoe Slater was on my wish-list of returnees as although we haven’t seen her on screen for twenty years, her character has transcended time due to her popular storylines.

“I was absolutely delighted when Michelle agreed to return, and I’m thrilled to welcome her back to Walford. Whilst I can’t say too much at this stage, Zoe’s return is just one of the many exciting storylines we have planned.”

For those who were unable to attend Glastonbury festival this year, live coverage of the globally renowned music festival is perhaps the nest best thing. However, fans were left incredibly unimpressed with the BBC’s coverage as it crashed on Saturday night during the middle of the broadcast.

Instead of watching their favourite acts live on stage, viewers were left with a blank screen.

It was the second night of the iconic music festival and fans were eagerly awaiting the performance of Scissor Sisters and Charli XCX, among many others.

But both the BBC’s TV feed and iPlayer fell victim to a technical error. Explaining the failure of coverage a message popped up on viewers’ TV screens which said: ” Sorry for the interruption. We’re working to fix this.”

Unwilling to accept the apology by the broadcaster, many rushed to social media to express their fury.

One person wrote: “Terrible coverage on bbc – Scissor Sisters live set off air & general lack of live streams. The iPlayer Glastonbury Channel is also broken on Apple TV. It’s a mess.”

Another fumed: “bbc iplayer crashing as soon as scissor sisters are meant to be on stage is abysmal work.”

A third added: “Waited all day for scissor sisters to be on and now iplayer showing a black screen ffs #Glastonbury2025.”

Meanwhile a fourth raged: “First they don’t let us see the Kaiser Chiefs now the iPlayer seemingly crashes when Scissor Sisters are meant to be on. S***e. #BBC #Glastonbury2025.”

A fifth penned: “bbc @iplayer no scissor sisters, 35 mins in still getting this.. very disappointing.”

And a sixth was quick to chime in: “C’mon iPlayer, f*****g sort yourself out. Waiting for Scissor Sisters here.”

“#Glastonbury2025 #Scissorsister what a joke! been waiting to watch the only band worth looking at today and I’m getting this s**t show,” wrote a seventh viewer.

This comes after Charli XCX wowed fans with her sexy performance on the Other Stage as she headlined on Saturday night.

Showing off her enviable physique, the singer donned a pair of thigh socks with knee high boots, a pair of black shorts and a skull crop top, showing off her toned midriff.

Earlier that day, Pulp appeared to poke fun at the singer and her fan base by asking fans if they were ready for a “Pulp Summer.”

This was a direct message to her fans who declared a “Brat summer” last year, following the success of Charli XCX’s hit album.

The “Pulp Summer” jibe had shown up on a big screen in front of the crowd during their surprise performance.

Lead singer, Jarvis Cocker joked: “We’re Pulp. Sorry for the people that were expecting Patchwork.” He continued: “Did you know we were going to play? How? Psychic? Good.”

He then went on to quip that it had been “30 years and four days” since they first performed at Glastonbury back in 1995.

The band split in 2002 but reunited again only to call time on the band a few years later in 2013. But three years ago, Pulp reformed once again.

Chris Tarrant has blasted Phillip Schofield as “the most overexposed man ever”.

Tarrant, 78, is known for hosting hit TV shows like Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? and Tiswas. But he is not a fan of fellow former ITV star Schofield. Schofield quit ITV in 2023 after he admitted lying about an “unwise but not illegal” affair with a man 34 years his junior who had worked on the daytime show. At the time he said his TV career was finished but he attempted to resurrect himself on screen with a Channel 5 series called Cast Away in 2024.

Referring to the Cast Away show, Tarrant said: “There was not a hint of apology or ‘maybe I was a little bit out of order’. Christ Almighty.”

He then told the Sunday Telegraph he thought Schofield “lost the plot” after fame went to his head. Tarrant added: ”He was the most overexposed man ever, maybe apart from Wogan at his peak.

But Terry was on all the time because he was very good, funny and likeable, and bright as a button. I loved him. Schofield, they always said, ‘Oh, but he’s a safe pair of hands.’ Did anyone ever say, ‘Ooh, it’s five to eight, got to get home quick because the safe pair of hands is on?’ Dear oh dear. Those shows he did – Dancing On Ice, The Cube, everything – were mainly crap.”

    Chris Tarrant
Chris is not a fan of Phillip Schofield

Nature loving Tarrant, who was giving the interview to promote a new book he has written about bears, also moaned about too many adverts on ITV where he used to work on quiz show Millionaire.

He said he mainly watched streaming services now for this reason and added: “We always used to say, ‘See you in a couple of minutes,’ but how long are the breaks now? Five or six minutes!

“I watch Netflix and Amazon Prime. Then I turn on an ITV drama and say, ‘What? It’s only been on three minutes and we’ve got a break!’ And the sponsors and all that. When will it happen that the commercials are longer than the programme?”

Tarrant insisted he had now watched Jeremy Clarkson on quiz Millionaire who was his replacement. He claimed he had no interest in watching because he knew the format so well and he had “the best of it, the glory years”.

Tarrant now lives in a posh Berkshire property with his partner Jane Bird of 20 years.

He has six children, including two stepchildren and six grandchildren aged three to 13 and rather than looking for any more work loves going on holidays. Sometimes two in quick succession.

“There is a glorious freedom in being able to travel without planning around work schedules,” he said.

“I’ll tell you the sort of thing. This winter, after Christmas, we went on holiday to the Caribbean for five or six weeks.

“We got home about mid-February and it was bloody freezing. It went on and on, so I was like, ‘F*** this, let’s go back again. That’s called enjoying retirement.”

Loose Women star Nadia Sawalha apologised to Christine Lampard before sharing the humorous reason why Frank Lampard would be her husband of choice

Nadia Sawalha named Frank Lampard as her co-star’s husband she’d choose to marry

Nadia Sawalha has revealed she prefers her Loose Women co-star Christine Lampard’s wedding ring to her own, and is often “distracted” by the eye-grabbing sparkler.

On the latest instalment of ‘Loose Women—The Podcast,’ which focused on body confidence, loveless marriages and husband’s crushes, Nadia and her co-star Judi Love shared their honest thoughts.

During the podcast, Judi relayed a question from a listener named Mary, who was curious to know which co-star’s husband they would each marry if they had to choose.

Before revealing her answer, Nadia apologised to Christine in advance, then humorously confessed that it’s not Frank Lampard she covets, but rather the stunning ring he gave to Christine.

She confessed: “I’m sorry. Maybe I shouldn’t say this. Okay, Christine Lampard’s ring is really, really nice and my ring is not. That ring. I mean, honestly…sometimes, it distracts me.”

Her co-star weighed in, adding: “Babes, I can’t, like… it does get me and Frankie’s [Bridge], yeah.”

Nadia quipped in response: “So, what is the name of our husbands again? But the ring.”

Judi continued, giving a nod to Frank’s good taste: “The ring; the ring is the one. He is lovely, though.”

Frank tied the knot with Christine in 2015, six years after they crossed paths at the Pride of Britain Awards.

The couple share two children, Patricia and Freddie, while Frank also has two daughters from a previous relationship.

Their romance, however, had a somewhat “awkward” beginning.

Previously speaking on Loose Women, Christine said that Frank initially impressed her by claiming he watched her on The One Show and even remembered the guest from the night before.

“There was an awkward introduction at the party afterwards,” she added. “I just laughed and we both giggled about it. Then that was it. He somehow got my number, and I had a withheld number call my phone on the way home. I picked up and it was him.

“I said ‘Wow, you’re keen!’ as a bit of a joke, and we chatted, and he said he enjoyed meeting me and would like to stay in touch. It was very relaxed.”

Meanwhile, Nadia tied the knot with Mark Adderley back in 2002 while expecting their daughter, Maddie. In 2024, she candidly spoke to Hello! about her husband’s battle with bipolar II disorder and depression.

“It breaks my heart when he tells me how sad he is because I adore him and it feels so unfair. But it’s also much better in the long run to know the truth,” Nadia expressed.

On Instagram, Mark has shared insights into his battle with alcohol abuse and his mental health struggles before getting sober. He shared a photo of himself with Maddie alongside the caption: “This was me at my most chaotic, out of control and sad.”

Nadia replied to her film producer husband, saying she was “so proud” of him. She added that he’s a “f***ing incredible husband and father” and that she would love him “now and beyond this mortal world.”

This Morning cut off air as ITV schedule change leaves fans fuming

This Morning was cut short on Tuesday by 20 minutes with fans taking to social media to express their annoyance

This Morning viewers were left fuming after the ITV show was given the chop on Tuesday, March 11 to make room for a major schedule shake-up. The programme, along with four other daytime shows including Loose Women, Alan Titchmarsh’s Gardening Club, Tipping Point, and Lingo, faced cuts to accommodate the Cheltenham Festival coverage.

Despite not being completely booted off the air, This Morning, hosted by Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard, saw its typical slot shrink by 20 minutes.

Normally airing from 10am till 12:30pm, the show wrapped up early at 12:10pm today, shortly followed by ITV’s Lunchtime News ahead of the horse racing event starting at 12:45pm.

Disgruntled fans didn’t hold back on social media platform X, voicing their discontent with remarks such as: “Wait what happened to this morning? And why is the news on?”

Another viewer vented: “F*** the racing! I want to complain and Tweet about daytime TV!” reports Wales Online.

Further disruptions are expected as the Cheltenham Festival continues from Tuesday, March 11, through to Friday, March 14, causing more programming shuffles.

ITV Racing is set to bring viewers The Opening Show, a comprehensive rundown of each day’s events at the festival, airing from 9am until 10am. This means that regular programming, including reruns of the 1980s US drama Magnum P.I. , has been shuffled around to accommodate the British drama Robin of Sherwood.

However, fans of Bradley Walsh and his team of chasers can rest easy as The Chase will continue in its usual weekday slot without any changes. It’s expected that ITV’s broadcasting schedule will revert back to its standard format after the Cheltenham run this week, with the regular TV lineup set to return on Monday, March 17.

The four-day festival kicks off on Tuesday with Champion Day, featuring the Supreme Novices’ taking on the Champion Hurdle. Day two brings the glamour with the famous fashion and style awards, also known as Ladies Day, which pays tribute to the Queen Mother Champion Chase.

This is followed by St. Patrick’s Thursday, hosting races such as the Ryanair Chase and the Stayers’ Hurdle.

The festival concludes with Gold Cup Day, where the coveted Cheltenham Gold Cup is awarded, one of the most prestigious prizes in the racing industry.

A Loose Women star opened up about her health struggles, revealing that they left her “in the depths of despair” as she admitted, “I was really crying.”

Frankie Bridge, chatting to Kaye Adams, opened up about ageing and anxiety on the third episode of Loose Women: The Podcast. During the episode, Frankie opened up on how she discusses her mental health struggles with her young children: “It’s a hard one because I feel like my answer should be that they know everything. I feel like I should have had the conversation with them, that I do suffer with depression and anxiety, but I think it’s a hard conversation to have with them because I don’t know how much of it they really understand.”

She continued: “I think the anxiety side they know about, because my youngest often talks to me about anxiety and that’s quite an open conversation that we have but depression, I feel like is harder to explain.” Frankie admitted: “Actually my youngest caught me not that long ago in the depths of despair, on a day I was having a particularly bad day and I was just really, really crying. He came in and I just completely panicked… And he said, ‘Mummy, are you okay? What’s wrong?’ and I just said, ‘Oh, I’ve got a really bad migraine’. He kind of accepted that and said, ‘Oh, I hope you feel better and kind of left’.

She continued: “I didn’t really realise how much that had sat with him until my birthday a couple of months ago. Wayne said to me, ‘Look, there’s a present that Carter wanted me to get for you’… “When I opened it, it was two boxes of ibuprofen and he said to Wayne, ‘Should we get her something that can help with migraines because she gets them really bad, doesn’t she?’ and then that’s why he’d got them. Actually, I just thought that was so sweet but then I thought, I’m really going to have to explain this to him. Otherwise, every time when he’s growing up, someone cries, he’s going to think they’ve got a migraine.”

Frankie recently slammed “double standards” as she bravely revealed she has been trolled for her parenting. The former Saturdays singer issued a lengthy message in response to fans who criticise her decisions when it comes to raising her two sons, Parker and Carter. She called out the comments after being branded “the worst wife and mother” as she shone a spotlight on the abuse she has been sent.

Frankie made it clear her husband Wayne Bridge has never received such hateful messages when he does solo work away from the family home. She revealed it came to a head when she took time for herself following her health battles and went away with her close friend for four days. The Loose Women star has been candid about finding a tumour in her neck, which was benign.

The mum-of-two wrote: “I’ve learned to be pretty thick skinned during my years in the public eye and I deal with these comments every day. But these comments aren’t just directed at someone in my position. A lot of women have a similar experience in many different ways.

“As I was growing up, I feel I was very naïve to the double standards set upon women, and never really felt they applied to me. I think that because I hadn’t experienced any sort of sexual harassment in the workplace, I felt I’d come out unscathed. When really all I needed to do was recognise the very obvious differences in expectations of a boy band and a girl band. The double standards were right there staring me in the face.”

Frankie explained how Wayne encouraged her to take a four-day holiday after “suffering with various illnesses that became harder to ignore, they took their toll and my mental health plummeted”. She revealed: “I and everyone else around me could see I needed a break and I reluctantly took the holiday, squeezed in at a time that would cause minimal damage to the boys’ schedule and mine.

“This meant fitting in as much as possible before I went away, still be contactable and hitting the ground running when I returned.” Frankie instantly felt guilty for leaving her family but finally relaxed and realised she deserved the break when she admitted Wayne was more than capable of solo parenting their boys.

However, she explained the “online warriors did not agree”. Frankie was hit by messages such as “who’s looking after the kids?” and “how does Wayne feel about you going away without him?”. She hit back: “I spoke to Wayne about it whilst I was away and asked him if anyone had said anything like this to him when he goes on holiday without me or the kids.

“And the simple answer was…no. He actually said, when he went to Ibiza and snowboarding, not one person made a negative comment or asked him how the kids and I felt about his holiday.” Wayne retired aged 35 and takes on most of the childcare, yet Frankie still faces differences in how it is received.

Loose Women axed from TV schedules in huge shake-up – and it’s bad news for fans

Loose Women fans have been left unimpressed as the ITV daytime show has been taken off-air this week,

As the annual Cheltenham Festival kicks off for another year, the Loose Women panel have had their schedules cleared this week as the sporting coverage will take over the ITV’s usual afternoon slot. Unfortunately for avid fans of the panel show, the shake-up means that Loose Women won’t air at all for the rest of the week – when it’s usually broadcast every Monday to Friday from 12.30pm.

During Monday’s (March 10) episode of the programme Kaye Adams and her fellow co-stars Jane Moore, Judi Love and Coleen Nolan returned to screens for a jam-packed show celebrating Coleen’s 60th birthday. However at the end of the show, Kaye delivered the bad news to viewers as she announced that the show will not air for the rest of this week and the channel will instead broadcast racing from the Cheltenham Festival.

“That is it for today. Thank you to all of your loved ones and Brenda (Lewis) for flying in from your holiday this morning and most of all to Coleen. “We are off for the rest of the week sadly but we will be back next Wednesday but for now a very very happy 60th to the wonderful Coleen Nolan,” Kaye said.

It’s not just Loose Women that has been scraped from the schedule however. The horse racing event kicked off on Tuesday 11 March and will run until Friday 14 March, with coverage aired to ITV each day.

In order to make way for the festival, which often draws in numerous famous faces, five programmes have been removed from the schedule while others have been moved. After This Morning airs from 10am on ITV1, Loose Women usually follows on straight after, but this week the Cheltenham festival has replaced the panel show, with the main coverage kicking off at 12.45pm.

This Morning has managed to retain it’s slot, the Cat Deeley and Ben Shepherd-fronted show will be finishing 15 minutes earlier than usual. ITV Racing are also running The Opening Show, which is a preview for the day’s activities, on each day of the festival – with this reportedly running from 9am until 10am.

This means that re-runs of 1980s US drama Magnum P.I. have been removed from the regular schedule, while re-runs of British drama Robin of Sherwood have been pushed forward in the schedule.

With the extensive Cheltenham coverage running right up until 5pm, when business as usual resumes and The Chase airs, shows such as Alan Titchmarsh’s Gardening Club, Tipping Point and Lingo , which usually air after Loose Women, appear to have been axed for the week. Following Cheltenham’s run this week, ITV’s broadcasting schedule is thought to return to its usual running order come Monday 17 March.
