It has been reported that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have stirred up quite a commotion at the palace following their alleged interference in the upcoming US elections.

Reports indicate that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have once again crossed a line, allegedly violating the Sandam Agreement established when they stepped back from royal duties. This controversy isn’t new; back in 2020, during the run-up to the US elections, the couple faced backlash for encouraging voters in a video message to “vote against hate speech,” which many interpreted as a thinly veiled reference to then-President Donald Trump.

While they didn’t explicitly name the candidate, it was widely assumed they were endorsing Joe Biden. This political involvement reportedly breached the Sandam Agreement, which stipulated that royal family members remain politically neutral. Royal aides at the time expressed their frustration, noting that such comments had left the royal family distressed, as the monarchy is expected to maintain a non-partisan stance.

Now, as we approach the 2024 elections, the Express has suggested that Harry and Meghan have taken a subtler approach this time. Instead of endorsing a candidate, they have focused on encouraging voter registration. On the surface, this seems to be an unbiased, apolitical message. However, their support for the Vote Forward organization raises eyebrows.

In my previous video, I discussed how Meghan and Harry might have unintentionally breached US charity laws. On the face of it, promoting voter registration appears neutral. Still, the problem lies in the fact that they are promoting Vote Forward’s website. This organization has partnerships that predominantly lean toward supporting the Democratic Party.

While the Express claims that the couple has taken a less direct route in their involvement, it’s essential to look deeper. The promotion of Vote Forward effectively aligns them with a group that has significant political ties, primarily to Democrats.

So, in light of these developments, it seems that Meghan and Harry’s actions have once again caused a stir within the palace, as their interference in the 2024 US elections continues to raise questions.

Prince Harry is “trying to go at it alone” and “not trying to become a working royal” again, according to GB News Royal correspondent Cameron Walker. The Duke of Sussex quit his role as a working royal in January 2020 and moved to the US with his wife, Meghan Markle.

 

 

Walker was asked if the recent events involving senior Royals stepping back—three in total, one in the hospital and two regularly visiting for treatment—might have influenced Prince Harry to adopt a more responsible role.

Walker believes the situation isn’t related to temporary absences of Royal Family members like the Princess of Wales and Princess Anne. Instead, he thinks the individual is attempting to manage on his own and isn’t trying to reintegrate as a working member of the Royal Family.

“I think he is pretty happy in California from the messages we are getting from him, but clearly it is a huge frustration. I think perhaps for those Royal watchers and those Royal fans who think what could have been if he stayed as a working member and how much he could have perhaps helped,” he added.

Walker commented that, if Meghan had remained a working member of the Royal Family, especially when the monarchy appeared quite slimmed down, the situation would have been very different.

Prince Harry ‘angry and frustrated’

“I think over the last few years, it’s been pretty clear that Prince Harry has been pretty angry and frustrated with the situation he’s ended up being in. There’s been long periods of absence, I think, from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle,” he added.

A royal commentator has said the Sussexes may be going in different directions in one aspect of their lives.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle seem to be “going their separate ways” when it comes to their ventures, a royal expert has claimed.

The Duke of Sussex, 40, and his wife, 43, have both made some solo appearances in recent months prompting some speculation from royal watcher Phil Dampier.

Meghan Markle attended the LA Children’s Hospital Gala and a digital wellness initiative in Santa Barbara, whereas Harry jetted to New York, London and South Africa to “advance a number of his patronages and philanthropic initiatives”.

Speaking on the Sun’s Royal Exclusive show, Mr Dampier said: “I think Meghan is genuinely doing a lot of work in the background for this Netflix project and American Riviera Orchard.

“She probably wants a bit of a hiatus so that she can launch that. As for Harry, obviously he’s been back and forth with a few charities.

“They do seem to be going their separate ways. There’s no evidence that they’re splitting up at the moment personally.”

Renae Smith, founder and director of PR firm Atticism, exclusively told Express.co.uk that while their latest decision to go solo could benefit them in the long term, it could spark negative consequences in the short term.

The expert said: “I think their decision to pursue individual brands could indeed work in their favour over the long term, although it’s bound to spark a fair amount of public speculation in the short term.

Commenting on the couple pursuing their own interests, she said: “From a PR perspective, this shift might allow each of them to create distinct brands that better reflect their different priorities and resonate more coherently with their individual audiences.”

During his trip to Africa last month Prince Harry reunited with his old friend, Prince Seeiso of Lesotho, and gave a passionate speech around a bonfire about the work his Sentebale charity has been doing.

Sentebale supports young people living with, or who are at risk from, HIV.

Prince Harry said: “We’re hitting the targets, not just Sentebale but all of the departments are, and it’s making a massive difference, and it is this surge of energy and optimism and the voice of young people ranging from six to 25 – and the biggest difference of which really needs more work, is when people from the top start listening.”

For her own trip to the LA Children’s Hospital Gala Meghan Markle wore a dazzling red dress as she appeared at the star-studded event alongside other celebrities including Demi Lovato, Kaley Cuoco, Jamie Lee Curtis, Jimmy Kimmel and Colin Hanks.

In an update on the Sussex website posted after her appearance it said: “This weekend, Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex attended the biennial Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) Gala, an inspiring event dedicated to celebrating the exceptional services provided to children across LA.

“Invited as a special guest by CHLA’s president and CEO, Paul Viviano, The Duchess was proud to stand alongside esteemed guests in support of this vital cause.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s “smart move” to expand their property portfolio has raised eyebrows with a Palace insider who claims the Firm is reportedly “concerned” about their financial future.

Since quitting royal duties in 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have pocketed a reported £75million from Netflix for their shows, including the ‘Harry & Meghan’ docuseries which contained bombshell claims about the couple’s private life and the Firm.

But reports have suggested the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s have invested some of this money in a new property at the CostaTerra Golf and Ocean Club in Portugal, a resort dubbed the “Hamptons of Portugal”, costing an eye-watering £3.6million.

Referring to the property portfolio expansion, a source told the Sun: “They’re being smart with their money.”

However, the outlet also reports Palace insiders have been concerned about what will happen when the Sussexes run out of cash, as the couple have “huge overheads” including footing the bill for security when Harry visits the UK.

A biography by Robert Jobson, released earlier this year, titled ‘Catherine The Princess of Wales’ suggested that King Charles harbours concerns over Harry’s financial stability.

A Palace insider voiced worries to the author: “What worries His Majesty, and his top team,’ says a Palace official, ‘is what is going to happen when all the money runs out.”

Meghan Markle is reportedly ‘inconsolable’ following a harsh critique from Princess Diana’s biographer – leaving some Royal enthusiasts echoing the same sentiment.

Tina Brown, former editor of Vanity Fair, appeared on The Ankler podcast. She criticised the Duchess of Sussex, saying “she has the worst judgment of anyone in the entire world” and “she’s flawless about getting it all wrong”.

Understandably, Meghan was reportedly upset by these remarks. Royal commentator Neil Sean claimed that she was “inconsolable with tears” and “outraged” that someone she “admired” would make such comments.

Sean said: “According to a source Meghan was bereft because she’d admired Tina Brown and in particular read her books simply because of her connection to Princess Diana and get this because she wanted to find a better connection so she could understand her husband Prince Harry and how he felt about his mother.”

Magazine USA echoed these claims in a TikTok video, stating: “Meghan Markle is ‘inconsolable’ and ‘crying nonstop’ after being slammed by Princess Diana’s biographer Tina Brown”.

Royal fans were quick to sympathise with the Duchess, with one saying: “Diana would’ve no doubt loved her after all she personally went through between Charles other royals and the paparazzi,” accompanied by a sad-face emoji.

Meghan Markle has faced allegations of causing tears on more than one occasion.

Perhaps the most notorious accusation against Meghan was that she made Kate Middleton cry before her marriage to Prince Harry. Allegedly, Meghan rebuked Kate over concerns about Princess Charlotte’s flower girl dress, suggesting Kate had “baby brain”.

However, during a tell-all with Oprah Winfrey post-royal exit, the Duchess of Sussex insisted “the reverse happened” and that she was the one left in tears. This version of events received support in Prince Harry’s memoir, ‘Spare’, where he described finding Meghan “on the floor” after the dispute.

Neither the Royal Family nor the Sussexes have publicly responded to the allegations made by Harry and Meghan, or to the claims regarding Meghan’s conduct towards her staff.

 

Anti-monarchy group Republic has reacted to latest allegations against King Charles and his elder son Prince William, and called on the government to abolish the Duchies of Cornwall and Lancaster.

 

 

The campaigners have called on the government to abolish the Duchies of Cornwall and Lancaster, and bring their assets and income under direct state ownership.

In a statement, the Republic says the call comes after a Dispatches, Sunday Times and Mirror investigation into the huge profits made at the expense of charities and public services, and the shocking standard of Duchy of Cornwall rental properties.

“The Duchies are not the private property of Charles and William, as the royals imply, but are Crown assets belonging to the state,” the statement says.

Republic CEO Graham Smith says, “The Dispatches investigation shows how the Duchies are doggedly pursuing profit at every turn, at huge expense to the public and charities.”

The Duchies are not private property, they are state assets. Parliament allowed the royals to maintain control over these estates when other land was surrendered three centuries ago. It’s time parliament abandoned that arrangement.”

According to reports, the private estates of the monarch and his elder son have received almost £50 million of income from contracts with public bodies and charities, as claimed in a new investigation by Channel 4’s Dispatches and the Sunday Times.

 

Queen Camilla’s son Tom Parker Bowles has shared interesting facts about his mother Queen Camilla amid reports of reconciliation between Prince Harry and Prince William.

 

 

Tom Parker showered praise on Camilla, who was targeted by Harry in his book “Spare”. It comes after Prince William mentioned Harry in his upcoming documentary, seemingly reaching out to the Duke to ease the tension with him.

Revealing the struggles of communicating with the Queen, Tom lifted the lid on the cooking of his mother and the meals they ate at home while he was growing up.

He also gave an adorable title to the Queen, describing her as a “good, basic cook”.

“She was a good cook. A good, basic cook. Roast chicken, salads and scrambled eggs – all that very English stuff,” he told The Independent.
He added: “We had no spice whatsoever in our upbringing. We didn’t have curries.

“The only spice in the house might’ve been a tiny old dusty tin of curry powder for some disgusting coronation chicken occasionally and a bottle of old Tabasco for a Bloody Mary. That was the only spice.”

In a new interview, the 49-year-old explained also claimed that he struggles to contact his mother due to her outdated mobile phone.

“We do — my children, my sister and cousins,” Tom said when asked about family WhatsApp groups.

“But my mum still uses an old-fashioned telephone, so [she] can’t. I think it’s for security.”

He pointed out a history of ending ties when they no longer serve her, referencing her past breakups with her first husband, Hollywood producer Trevor Engelson, and former friend Jessica Moroney, as well as her distancing from her father and other royal family members. Vickers noted that people generally act in character, suggesting Meghan could potentially do the same with Harry. As he explained, “She dumped her father, she dumped her first husband, she dumped a Canadian chef lover, she dumped Jessica Moroney, and she then dumped the entire British royal family. So, who’s going to be next for the chop? I think inevitably it’s probably Prince Harry. There will come a time when she thinks that she doesn’t need him.”

The biographer also speculated that if a split were to happen, Meghan might frame the narrative to position herself as the wronged party, casting Harry in a less favorable light. Recently, signs of independence have become more apparent between Harry and Meghan. While Harry embarked on a charity trip to the UK and attended events in New York, Meghan was notably absent from these appearances.
